3. Look into extras list and select Google USB Drivers and then click Install packages.
III. Install drivers
1. Right click on Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager.

Root the Byond B66
-------Notes--------
1. This does void your warranty.
2. The root image auto installs the superusers permission app
3. I am in no way responsible for anything that goes wrong.
4. Thanks to Bin4ry and for the drivers.
Downloads:
1. USB driver for MT6577
2. USB VCOM driver for MT6577
3. Root_with_restore_Bin4ry_v15.7z
copy paste the link for drivers
ge.tt/7xA9h3a?c
Procedure:
1. Enable USB debugging on your device. To do that, go to Settings > Development > USB debugging.
2. Connect your phone to pc via usb cable, install the USB driver for MT6577. If windows installs the driver automatically, choose update drivers from device manager and install the proper downloaded usb drivers.
3. Now switch off the phone , remove the battery and with device manager open on screen, connect phone to pc via usb cable holding the volume+ button. In device manager you will see MT65xx preloader, choose update driver and install the USB VCOM drivers. Once the drivers are installed, disconnect, put the battery back and on the phone.
4. Enable USB debugging on your phone. To do that, go to Settings > Development > USB debugging.
Connect your phone to PC
Unzip the root tool you downloaded above.
Change the mode of your device from USB Storage to Media Device and proceed further. This change can be done only when you have connected your device to the PC, so don't go mad searching for this option before you have even connected your device. (Thanks RajivMishra13 for the update).
Run the runme.bat file. (Clever naming, eh?)
Click the Runme.bat file
A command prompt with weird green letters will pop-up on your screen.
Follow the onscreen instructions carefully. To start off, you willl need to type in a "1" and press enter.
Note: If you ever want to Unroot your B66, follow the above steps till you reach this one and then, instead of typing "1", type "x" and hit enter. Follow the instructions that appear on the command prompt after that.
The command prompt window with weird green letters: Root by Bin4ry tool
Your device will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
When the green letters in the command prompt says Have Fun!, then... Have fun.
That means, your device is rooted now and you can enjoy Superuser permissions!

How To Root Tecno Phantom A smartphone

1. Connect your Tecno F7 to the computer
2. Download PdaNet+ V4.12 and eroot_v1.3.3 to your desktop and unpack in a folder called Rooting.
3. Install the PdaNet+ V4.12
4. If you have already installed the driver of your F7 in the computer before at one time, you can choose No in the dialogue box shown to you otherwise, select Yes. A box would show up asking you to either Skip or Cancel Installation. Leave it and move to the next step.
5. 5. Next you need to enable debugging mode on your phone. To do this, go to Settings, scroll to Developer Option, tap on it and then select USB debugging, click OK at the prompt and then exit.
6. Once your device is detected by the computer and its in USB debug mode, a pop-up would show up to install a software from June Fabrics Technology. Click Install and let it finish its installation which would take place on your device too.
7. Run the eroot you downloaded earlier, it would display in Chinese, don't worry.
8. It would detect your device and then you will see the big bold Root menu. Click on Root and you would be rooted in no time.

You can't view your sdcard files because they have been deleted when you unlocked the bootloader!

Oh you mean your PC isn't recognizing the device?
Make sure android sdk with platform tools and usb_driver is installed on your PC and then,
Follow these steps:
1. Connect your phone to your pc and head over to control panel---device manager and select your phone from there.
2. Right click on it and select update driver software.
3. Now select "Browse my computer for driver software"
4. Put this path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\extras\google\usb_driver" (C:\Program Files (x86) may differ on your pc depending on where you have installed the SDK)
5. Put a tick on "Include subfolders" and click next.
6. The drivers will be installed again and ADB will recognize your device.
Make sure you accept the authorization request popup on your device when you connect to your PC.

After installing android sdk, open it make sure it has downloaded the usb_driver.
I've extracted the stuff and when i click the sdk manager cmd appears and disappears ,nothing happens thereafter
With Windows 8.1 you have to install the Universal Naked Drivers for it to work (for me at least) - The LG drivers wouldn't take on my laptop for some bizarre reason.

Help - Bootloader Unlocking

Hey!
I've just picked up my shiny new Z3 and attempting to unlock it's bootloader.
I've followed the instructions on Sony's Website:
" 1. Download and install the Android SDK.
2. If you’re running Windows, you also need to download and install an updated Fastboot driver. This is the standard android_winusb.inf-file, with a few lines of code added to enable Fastboot to support Sony & Sony Ericsson devices. Replace the original android_winusb.inf-file with the downloaded file in the usb_driver folder, located in the Android SDK > extras > google folder on your computer. If you can’t find the usb_driver folder, make sure you are running Google USB Driver package revision 4 or higher in your Android SDK. If not, install the Google USB Driver Packager using the Android SDK manager.
Note! If you’re running OSX or Linux, you are not required to install any additional drivers.
3. On your device, turn on USB debugging by going to Settings > Developer options and click to enable USB debugging.
As of Android Jelly Bean 4.2 the Developer options are hidden by default. To enable them tap on Settings > About Phone > Build Version multiple times. Then you will be able to access the Settings > Developer options.
Connect to Fastboot
1. Turn off your Xperia™ Z3 Compact.
2. Connect a USB-cable to your computer.
3. On your Xperia™ Z3 Compact, press the Volume up button at the same time as you connect the other end of the USB-cable. ** (Here, this step doesn't happen for me) **For Windows users, when asked for a driver, point to the usb_driver folder where you placed the android_winusb.inf-file, and select the Android Boot loader Interface-file.
4. When your device is connected, open a command window on your computer and go to the platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder.
5. Enter the following command:
fastboot devices ----- ( I've noticed that I should type " device" as opposed to " devices" ) ( This is where my issue begins)
After I've typed the above instructions, I don't get a reply from the device. Nor am I prompted on Windows or on the device.
6. Verify that you get an answer back without any errors. "
I've tried the above with the SDK running in the background on my computer and the SDK closed on my pc.
Any advice or assistance would be much apprecaited.
Thanks!
check this guide out, hopefully it'll help you out... http://www.theandroidsoul.com/unlock-bootloader-sony-xperia-z3/
Thanks. I was able to successfully unlock my Xperia ZR with this link.
Thanked you

How do I install Alcatel driver?

I don't know how to install it, all I see after downloading and upzipping is "MTK_Qualcomm_ADB" folder, inside are "install.vbs" file, "uninstall.vbs" file, Qualcomm and MTK folders. I I tried to click on "install.vbs" file, nothing happend, so I tried to install through Windows Device Manager, using the ".inf" file in the Qualcomm folder, but failed. I've just bought my phone for 1 week and I am new to Android, so don't curse me...
P/S: I read this instruction on reddit and got stuck in step 3.
1. Plug device into computer, wait for "normal" MTP drivers to install. You'll probably get an error about the ADB interface driver failing.
2. Open the notifications dropdown and select "Connected as a media device" (was the default for mine).
3. Select "Drivers CD-ROM" from the USB Computer Connection list.
4. Open My Computer and open new "USB Driver" drive (was E on my machine).
5. Double-click Setup.vbs, then click Install on the "Android USB Driver Manager" screen. (Click Uninstall to uninstall the driver)

Either 1) Plug in the device and when it prompts for a driver THEN point it to where the inf is or 2) install the driver zip mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/general/want-to-able-to-install-ota-updates-t3163745
Thanks. I did it!
