Looks like they are looking to port to more devices are any developers interested in bringing this to the XT925/926 devices? Would need maintainer also - I just don't have the ability or time but I love these builds on my Gnex and Nexus 7 -though it would be worth a shot to see if someone is interested

[Q] what devs are working on the nexus

i mostly just want to know if cyanogen will be cooking up some love for the nexus s!
I think he tweeted saying that if the Nexus S code hit AOSP then he would be bringing CM to it.
Koush will be handling the NS Cyanogen Development

[Q] android asop

i'm wondering, is there a list of the phones that will run android ASOP without any issues? currently i'm running a samsung fascinate, i'm looking to get a new phone, and i would love to be able to run straight ASOP.
is there a list out there? or anyone who can recommend a new phone that will run it? or one to wait for, for that matter?
thanks
Cyanogen is pretty close to ASOP, would be happy with that?
Here is a list with of devices that have cm roms.

good find, i was looking into that rom, but i'm really looking for a device that will run the ASOP
currently i'm running the community rom on my fascinate, but i may try that just for the heck of it.
AOSP
Android Open Source Project
I personally wouldn't buy a device now unless it had Cyanogenmod support. I couldn't go back to using stock, and i certainly wouldn't use Android if it had Sense, Blur, Touchwiz..etc on it!

AOKP on TF300T??

How hard would it be to get AOKP onto the Tf300T? I know there's a build for the TF201 and the 101, but why not for the 300T? I mean, I don't currently have this device, but I'm possibly buying one from my friend, so I would love to have something with a lot of the AOKP features. Ultimately something like PACman ROM would be the best. I'm just curious as to how hard it is to port over? How would one build from source for an unsupported device?

Port a CyanogenMod

Hey guys,
I didn't really know where to put that so I decided that here is a good place for that.
So basically I have the One S but not the one with the Snapdragon S4 processor. Mine has a Snapdragon S3. And I'm not the only one with that. But the bad thing about it is that there is only one or two custom ROMs availible (all Sense based). So now I want to get involved and try to port CyanogenMod to the device. But I don't have any experience in Android developing. Are there any tutorials that tell specifically how to port a ROM to another device without having a CM/AOSP base? What programming languages do I have to know? What do I have to have?
I already thougt that the best way to port ROMs is to take the ones from the Sensation and just port them (the Sensation is pretty similar to the One S villec2). But I don't really know what to do and how to do that.
I'm willing to learn and I know that this process could take a long time (maybe moths, idk?).
Thanks in advance.
Hmm.Maybe if you ask on Cyanogenmod forums it will be better
AW: Port a CyanogenMod
Asked there but didn't get any help so far. I hope I can get help in any forum. Is developing for Android such a closed thing? Do you have to be in this thing since the start of it or did I miss something out?

Will S6 Get AOSP Based ROMs? (CM, Carbon, etc)

Hi everybody here
I'm totally new to Samsung Development (I owned Sony Devices for many years)
I heard all across the Internet that Exynos Devices doesn't have any AOSP ROMs, all ROMs for them are TouchWiz Based.
But today I've found this : Galaxy S6 Sources By Samsung
Does this mean this device will get love from AOSP Developers? i.e CM Team?
You know, the only reason that stops me from buying this TOTALLY AWESOME device is this.
I'll buy an S6 ASAP if I it gets AOSP Support :good:
Please say if this lovely device gets AOSP or not.
Thanks, Many Regards :fingers-crossed:
Considering this is already looking to rank as one of the best selling Android devices of all time, I would highly doubt anyone suggesting we won't have AOSP based roms at some point in the near future. The exynos processor does make the matter more complicated, but not impossible. So I'd say buy with confidence if this is the only thing holding you back.
