Not really sure what happened, but I left my tablet alone for about 5 days. Had to plug it in to charge it back up obviously. The next day turned it on, and all I get is it vibrates once, than just vibrates infinitely screen is not turning on I think. I tried the reset button, recovery mode nothing happens just goes straight back to vibrating. It seems I can enter APX mode, since it vibrates once and than stops my computer sees it but cant find device software to install for it, and shows up on devices as "APX" unidentified.
I even popped it open, pulled the power connector for the board and backup battery let it sit for a day; plugged it back in and still same issue as before. I bought it 9 months ago in December only real issue before this, is that it froze a few times but went away on its on after a reset.

You can give this a shot...:fingers-crossed: you need to hold the power button + volume up for about 10 seconds. You will feel the first vibration and keep holding both buttons for another few seconds then you will feel the second vibration. After the second vibration, you need to release both buttons as the same time then wait for a few seconds after that. You can try to power it up and see if it works.. Please report back and good luck.. :fingers-crossed:

So this is a weird problem I just started having today.
After putting my phone away during practice, I came back to find that it had only 1% battery.
It died en route to my room, and when I first plugged it in to my PC, it turned on and worked normally. After a while it turned off.
Now, when I try to turn it back on, the htc Raphael screen comes up, and it makes a short vibration, then goes to black for about 1 second, and then repeats. It has been doing this nonstop.
However, it only does so when it is plugged in to a power source. When it is not plugged in, it is completely unresponsive.
I have the elite RC2 ROM that I flashed back in November.
Any suggestions?
hard reset to start things off.
Hold down the volume down button, center button and then press the reset button with the stylus until you see a screen that says something like "this operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel." then press volume up. Remember you will lose all data, phone numbers and anything else stored on the phone.
i know this problem
I have had several, i solve it taking press the power button long time during the boot.
Of course, the phone must be plugged in to a power source.
Problem solved.
I left it unplugged with the battery out overnight, and then plugged it in to charge, and it did not attempt to startup.
After letting it charge again it worked as normal.
I suppose the battery was so run down for some reason, that even plugged in, it did not get enough power to complete the boot.
It works now. About to flash Elite RC3 and a new radio.
someone out there, please help me. Today when I went out to work I was playing with my phone and then put it away while I was driving. When I got back to it I tried to turn it on but it would not turn on, so I keep the On key pressed for a few seconds and then it turns on.
So I thought maybe the phone needed a restart, so I did. I pressed the On key for a second and then selected "Restart". and it never started back again. I´ve been trying to press the on key for like 1 minute a nothing shows up, I connect it to the charger and the charging led doesn´t light up.
When I connect it to my computer, it seems to recognize something in the task manager as it says "Unknown Device"
Anybody knows a method to make it boot? like a typical "battery Pull"?
Try holding Power key for 10 seconds?

This ^^. or try to boot into recovery (hold volume down, then press and hold power, hold both until the three androids appear. then use volume down to select "reboot"
thanks for the reply, I just tried that and nothing, no light, no led. The capacitive buttons don´t light up either. =(
Try leaving it plugged in for awhile to make sure it's charged before you try to reboot into recovery?

I was thinking an thought. With android, sometimes the phones just get messed around too much. When I had my galaxy nexus, everytime i meet a freeze or something, I just pull the battery and reboot the phone. If the phone is messed up and wont boot. I can still just pull the battery, put it in, and boot into recovery. Now, is there any safe way to do all of this? I am worried about the One X, and still am debating between this and the note, reason being I flash a lot and dunno wat i can do if i really just mess up my phone. Anyone have any ideas?

If you hold down the power button for 10 seconds it will hard reset the phone. This is exactly the same behavior as the iPhone and other phones with a non-removable battery.

I have the same problem, when I charge it the charging indicator doesn't even turn red or green. I tried a wall charger as well as connecting it to my computer. I tried holding the power button for 10 secs, also while holding down the volume down button. Nothing works. I'm going to call HTC tomorrow, and might need to bring it back to the shop.
It always seems a bit finicky to turn on for me. I still have no idea how exactly to turn it on, I jus randomly press the button until it turns on.
Try holding down the power + volume down button.
I rooted my HTC ONE S ( EUROPE ) a couple of months ago, everything was fine until yesterday when I went to unlocked my phone from my lock menu it and it displayed a message on my phone screen saying "hold power button or phone will shut down in 3 seconds" by the time i had realised that that message was there it had one second, so it turned off by itself and it wont come back on, it wont let me into recovery or the bootloader because the screen wont come on!! I've tried volume down and power and it doesnt work, the only thing it displays is a solid orange LED light when i put my phone on charge and my computer doesnt recognise it when i plug it into it? I cant contact my service provider ( o2 ) because i void the warrenty when i rooted. HELP?
Full charge your phone, unplug it and try again.
My phone used to do a really annoying thing when it ran out of batteries. The next time I went to turn it on I had to hold the power button for about 20 seconds. After the first 5 seconds, the soft-keys would start to flash. They continue to flash as you hold the power button. Then, after a while they stop flashing and the phone boots up. Like I said, it takes a while. Just keep holding the power button if you see the soft-keys flashing.
That doesn't seem to be a problem now that I'm on Beanstalk 4.4.
Yesterday I was watching a youTube video and my phone started restarting (crash?). The Google logo and ofcourse the unlock are showing (the device has been rooted a long time now), but it did not go beyond that. I then decided to hold the power button for a long time to manually restart the phone again myself, but after trying to restart my phone is not turning on anymore.
I already tried the standard things like holding the power button for a long time and in combination the with volume up and down buttons. When I plug in my phone it does make a sound like the device is connected to the laptop (most likely the adb drivers and ****.
Is there anything else I can try to get my phone up and running again? Also when in laptop or by adapter the phone does not show any sign of charging. (my phone was 75% full when the phone crashed).
Try holding Power and Vol down only during 10s.
If it doesn't work plug the phone to a charger and try again later.

I have tried that multiple times.
Do you have an early model by any chance? Launch maybe?
I bought mine at launch and it had a faulty power button. This also looks like a random reboot, because the power button is being "held" for a couple of seconds. I also hat a couple of times when I couldnt't turn on the device anymore - again, because the power button wasn't working correctly.

There is a possibillity. The nexus had problems with the power button a year ago. So I now RMA'd it,
Was watching youtube videos last night before my phone died, now I can't get it to start boot into the OS. Not sure if this is relevant but my power button had been a little finnicky- rather maybe not the power button itself because it doesn't feel stuck or anything at all but I noticed that it would take an extra second or two after pressing the power button to get into my lock screen. I never really paid attention because it only happened once in a while and I would just restart my phone and be done with it. However I can't even get into the lock screen or anything now.
After my phone died last night I plugged it in right away and came back a while later to turn it on. I tried turning it on but noticed my phone just kept rebooting. It's still repeatedly rebooting and I can only get in the fastboot menu by holding down both volume buttons when rebooting. I get the options power off- which just reboots it after a while, start - which just reboots the phone, restart boot loader- which literally takes me back to the same menu, recovery mode- just reboots and show barcode which shows the barcode at the bottom of the menu.
I've tried downloading the qualcomm driver and trying to get into EDL mode but don't see it on my pc or msmtool, i'm also not even sure if i'm trying to get into EDL mode correctly. I've tried disable Driver signature Enforcement and then redownloading the qualcomm driver but still no luck. I don't know what else I should try. Someone please help me out, i'm pissed this happened just because my phone died, about to have ptsd whenever my phone is at 5% fml.
Also after seeing the 1+ logo and powered by android on the bottom, sometimes I would see like a line of color, which I would assume is text not being rendered all the way, fade out and then the phone shuts down and reboots itself.

Which OOS build are you on? And your device is unlocked or not?
Getting into EDL mode is tricky. Power off device completely. With the device powered off, hold down volume up and volume up at the same time, keep them pressed all the time, and during that time plug into PC (phone all the time powered off). Still hold both of the buttons. By the time you plug into PC, you should be in EDL mode, BUT it only lasts about 10 seconds. I mean you have to click start in this 10 seconds time bracket, other way phone exits EDL itself. After you click start, you can release button, obviously
