[Q] How to combine the features of android 1.6 and android 4.1?

Consider Sony Xperia x10i:
1.Android 1.6 UI is the best UI since today. (Phone book, timescape, backgrounds are excellent). But it requires little update the back end performance only not in UI.
2. Automatic brightness,Battery Usage are available there, so no need to worry about it.
3. Launcher is good and so no need to worry about.
These are the above advantages of Android 1.6 in Xperia x10i.
If i update my phone to Feravolt-ICS, I will lose the UI, launcher, automatic brightness, video recording, etc.,
So what's my requirement is:
1. I want to keep all Android 1.6 UI features but update to Android ICS OS.
How to make these?
If you release with above said points, your OS is best of all.

Android 5.0 Lollipop: Top 10 exciting features

So I'm excited to get Android 5.0 Lollipop on my device tomorrow. I agree with the article about features that are very exciting for this update.
Set-up Assistant
User Profiles
Screen Pinning
Quick Settings
Better battery usage
Notifications
Improved Multitasking
Trusted Bluetooth (and NFC) devices
Material Design
Flappy Bird as part of Lollipop’s Easter Egg
I would also add Runtime and Performance as well as security features.
One of the best feature is the ability to sign into any lollipop device and getting your personal information right there just as you left your last device.

disable apperance to increase performance

Hello!
Many time when i am using my phone i think of theming the UI and also the battery life of the android .
I install several apps like cleaners, modules, editors, to improve UI as well as battery life. But after many year i frustrated of getting the values balancing . If i increase the UI or some tweaks the battery will compromised and when the battery is tweaked the performance is compromised .
so i think of disabling the theming option . I have tried many things to disable the themes like disabling the animations and windows scale in developer options and tinting but didnt work
so please guys tell me any option to disable appearance . What ever option that is disable the theme please tell me . Even that it looks odd no problem. even it looks like old ui no prob.
"And please dont tell to degrade the os"
i am using android 5.1.1

As a non-tester are Oreo ROM's worth the bugs?

After trying the LineageOS latest alpha 15 I found that the new features are not really worth the hassle of making things work. I just tried the new action launcher on LineageOS 14.1 and basically the only thing I can see that is missing is the very limited picture in picture.
What do you think?
You see one thing...Oreo is not a big update....only u can say it is an improved version of nougat...remember the marshmallow one...it is not a huge update from lollipop---just doze mode improved ,some visual changes happened bla bla bla....same thing happens with Oreo...settings menu visually changed,u can now officially use substratum theme engine, battery settings is new, doze is improved, autofill api added etc..you see these are not big changes, but it enriches the user experience for sure...that's all...maybe u get a much improved battery life, maybe your notification reading experience changes a little bit..that's the fact...
So my advice is as u are not a tester just stick with nougat(aex has given a fantastic nougat support throughout its journey)...once Oreo stable is released try it..

Mi A2 Stock Port
This ROM is the port of the stock Android One ROM from Mi A2. The ROM is super stable with only minor bugs, that you won't notice everyday. The developer is super responsible and cares a lot about the ROM users. Major bugs that was present at the beginning like fingerprint on goodix and Bluetooth issues are now fixed. In my experience, the ROM feels smoother than other Pie roms that I have tested till now. But since it is pure Android One, there are no customisations available now. The developer has promised customisations in the next builds.
