Hi, I've started learning to develop android apps. And after a lot of small apps, I decided to do an app to change the values of the gps.conf files in order to optimize the navigation. So, I want to show my work, published on Play Store. It may not work on all devices, so keep it in mind. Constructive comments are always welcome.
Thank you. I post a link to the app.
Good afternoon. :good:

HI all,
I'm somewhat new here -- been lurking a while, and have recently started posting. Anyways, I recently hit the marketplace with a free app I've developed, ScoreKeeper Plus: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bammsoft.scorekeeper
In a nutshell, it's a score keeping app, tailored towards board games and the likes, with many uses. Additionally, I've included a few useful utilities for such events -- a highly configurable dice roller and a game timer.
So far, I've received perfect reviews from my modest user-base (~20 users), but I'm looking to grow that and get some feedback to further development.
The app is free and has no ads, so please share with all who may find this useful!
All feedback is HIGHLY appreciated. :fingers-crossed:

Why does the app need permission to read contact data on the phone?
The description says why internet access is needed, but the combination of that and reading contact data for an app that doesn't seem to obviously need the phonebook could look suspicious.

Hi sorry, I missed this question. Thanks to the poster above, yes it's to pick player names from your contact list.
The network permission is to pull a message of the day when you first launch the app. The MOTD let's me communicate with my users. It pulls from here: http://android.bammsoft.com/ScoreKeeper/MOTD.txt
On a side note, I'm quite pleased because there's been an explosion of new users, a 700% increase in the past 2 days!
Cheers,
Shane

Just pushed a significant update (1.2.0). I added many translations and completely overhauled the new game screen.
Check it out!
EDIT: It's still propagating through the play store
EDIT 2: Is available now.
I want to reset my Note 3 to factory defaults. But I'm worried that my saved scores are gone after this. So my question is where are the scores saved and can I make a backup of it.
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
HS1986
@sjb933 do you have an alternative to your app or are you willing to put the app code in open source so it can be continued by others?

Hello ladies and gents,
We have developed Riilo, an app which (we hope) will create a new way of interaction between individuals. The idea is to allow anybody, to reach any location on Earth, and interact with people from that specific place.
For example, Riilo allows anyone, no matter where they are, to talk to people who are in Times Square, New York, or who pass by Times Square.
Similarly, Riilo enables one to interact with local people and find useful information, just by asking. For example, if one wonders whether the local groceries store still has a particular product, he/she can just ask people who are at the store right now.
We are in the very beginning and we need feedback on the concept, as well as the app itself. It would be greatly appreciated, if you joined Riilo Beta Community on Google Plus (just search Riilo Beta on g+). Once joined, please follow instructions on how to download the app from Google Play.
Our little app is quite easy to use too; here is how it goes (refer to the attached image):
1. The user on the left (with nexus 5) taps the map at the Eiffel Tower and asks what the fox says
2. People from around the Eiffel Tower can see the post
3. Somebody from around that location (the user with HTC on X) will reply to the post
This is how Riilo aims to bring the world closer together, by giving individuals the power to reach the entire World!
Many thanks to everybody who joined the Riilo Beta Community and even more thanks to those who installed the app, you are great!
Based on the feedback we received so far, we will be working over the weekend and will release an update late Sunday, or early next week.
More feedback would be even better, so we would be super happy if you wrote us what your thoughts are, on the concept and app in general.
You can do it here, on the community wall, or write to [email protected]

Bug found
The following bug has been reported by two users running KitKat:
After completing the "tutorial/introduction" a black activity is shown (see attached screenshot). Can anyone help reproduce this?
Many thanks!
Many thanks to all great people who downloaded the app!
We would very much appreciate it if you wrote us a couple of words saying what you think of the concept as well as the app.
You can do it here, on the community page (search for Riilo Beta on Google Plus) or send an email to [email protected]

New Update
A fresh update is now available on Google Play. We have fixed a few things and done minor improvements.
The NEW thing: on the map, you can now see some silhouettes. They are meant to show in which areas there are users or where users have been. As more and more users install the app, and the more the app is used, the more silhouettes will be shown on the map.
Nonetheless, you should still post to places that have no users shown on the map; even if the app shows there are no users in that place, people could still have the information you seek, and so they will be able to help.
If you have any questions or feedback, we would love to hear from you! :cyclops:
Riilo is published
I have now published Riilo on Google Play. You can download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riilo.main or just search for Riilo in Google Play.
Feedback is greatly appreciated!
If you like the concept and you think the app is worth it, maybe you can +1 the app on Google Play or perhaps even leave a nice review
Many thanks!
New Update
Riilo on Google Play just received an update. It contains a redesigned UI, as well as some optimizations and bug fixes.
Let me know what you guys think :cyclops:
This is a very interesting concept. I will have to look more into it soon

This is such a cool concept. Don't know if things functionality is in yet but the ability to send pictures to back and fourth would be awesome.

Unfortunately you cannot add images, videos or audio files yet. They will come, although it will take a while as it does require quite a lot of work.
Thanks for your suggestions :cyclops:
About a month ago I started learning Android development (long time web developer). The first thing I wanted to make was a todo app that approached things in my own way which is a bit different from what's out there already. Basically, focus on time (specifically right now, this next hour for example) rather than a bunch of lists, categories, tags, future future planning, etc.
I still have a few more things I want to add but I think it works well now and I'm looking for some alpha testers. You can search for 'do.now' in play store or If you'd like an invite please PM your email and I'll add you to the G+ tester group so you can access the test releases in the play store or search for "do.now" community.
Thank you.
I downloaded the app just there, and I look forward to trying it out. The store still states that there have been no downloads so far. I am excited about trying it out. I hope you can take the constructive feedback from the forum and implement it.
Thank you for contributing to the community.
Seems like this tool will absolutely work out in practical sense to make out the things. Hope this will have impeccable compatibility to work out with the tasks. Great job. Thanks for the contribution.

Hi! I'm new here! I'm an Android Youtuber (don't want to give my channel's name because i'm not here in order to spam). I make videos in spanish because I'm argentinian.
And well, I'm also new over there. I'm looking for some of your apps in order to review them. So if you are a developer, or you just want to share a cool app you've just discovered, leave it here.
The only condition is that the app should be published in the official Google Play Store, and does not have to require root permissions.
Can't wait to test those apps!

Hello XDA community !
I'm an Android developer, and I wanted to do a little application to try some new dev stuff. I had the idea of this app since I'm a little lazy sometimes and I needed motivation, so instead of working out I made an application to motivate me
The app is called DO IT!
With this simple application, you can add some objectives that you want to do every day, or at least the most possible (For example go at the gym, learn english...). And every day, you go in the app and check if you did it. You can also set a daily notification to remember to do it. You can also see when an objective was done in a calendar.
That pretty much it ! I still have a lot to do but I wanted to release a first version to gather some feedbacks and advices.
If you have questions (usage or technical) I'd be very happy to answer ! If you'd like to translate the app in your language you can also contact me. That would be very appreciated, and if you need I can translate yours in french too
The play store link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ninebaguettes.doit
Downloaded... I'm a lazy sod too. Will check it out and leave some feedback once ive used it a short while.
Thanks.
Thank you ! Your feedbacks will be really appreciated.
I did some updates since last time. Don't hesitate to give me some feedbacks
Hello!
Again, I did some nice updates to the app. Now you also have the possibility to set an objective as weekly or monthly. I also added some nice animations. If you have some ideas of what could be next feel free to discuss with me! I'm putting a lot of energy in this app.
Hi!
I added a new feature that allow you to choose how many times an objective must be done in the week or month. Hope you'll enjoy it!
I updated the screenshots since the app evolved a lot since its launch.
Enjoy!
