[APP][4.0+] Mangafox Reader - Android Apps and Games

I'm developing an app for android 4.0+ to read manga online from mangafox. You can download it from https://cyberneticlifeform.wixsite.com/cylonu87/mangafoxreader
Features:
Show lastest releases
Search by title and advanced search
Browse the manga directory
Bookmark manga
Background download next pages while reading.
Keep the reading progression
Full screen manga viewer
I hope you like it and if you have suggestions, I'll try to implement them.

Nice! Few Suggestions...
I only read mangas at Mangafox, so this, for me, is awesome! But can you please add:
• Arrange Mangas by Views/Chapters/Latest Updates like on Mangafox's Advance Search View
• Also from Advance Search View: Show each manga series wether it's New, Hot, Updated
• Another one from Advance Search View: Search Genre Combinations (like +Harem +Comedy -Horror -Mecha)
• Ads are annoying. Release of Paid (No-Ads) Application would be nice
But overall, a good start-up of a manga reader app! Will stay tuned for updates and such

Point 1 and 2 should be easy to implement.
Point 3 will be harder, may be I'll implement that for tablet and keep the current search for phone.
Thank you for your feedback.

Bug?
Hey man, can you check this out?
Some chapters don't finish their downloads. What now? Here's a screencast...
Download it here: Dropbox
Sorry if it's low quality. ShootMe is only the app than runs screencast on my phone (LG Optimus L3)...
Going back to the problem... So if you can see on the video, it always stops at page 9. Tried clearing cache, but bug is still there. Tried also two times (see video), but it doesn't work either.
And yes, I have a stable (kinda slow, but still) internet connection (you can see the speed on my status bar).
Can you kindly check it out?

I tried TWOGK 244 and didn't had any problems. I'll try to find a solution but maybe if you wait 1 hour and try again, it'll work.

Twaddle - A new Twitter Client

After several months of development (and heavy usage by a few users I believe Twaddle (a Twitter client I've been working on) is ready for the general public to use. Whilst I'd be silly if I said that Twaddle was feature complete, I think it definitely has a nice list of features for an initial release;
Viewing your time line, your friends list and your own updates
Nice interface - custom list view with inertial scrolling. (Check out the screenshots)
Post tweets, replies and retweet
Downloading of avatars (including @replies by your friends to other people)
Geotagging of tweets (looks up your current mobile / cell tower with Google, no GPS required)
OAuth support (you don't ever provide you username / password to Twaddle)
Portrait / landscape support
View Google Maps for geotagged posts
Popup notifications (including avatars) with post, reply and retweet options
Is.Gd URL shortening
If anyone is interested in trying it out, you can grab it from twaddle.mobi. General information will be updated frequently on http://twaddle.mobi as well. It's a free client, so I hope you guys can give it a try, and I'd love to hear any feed back. You can contact me either through comments on twaddle.mobi, on this thread, or via twitter
Twaddle v0.1.2
I noticed a rather daft bug in 0.1.1 which caused a crash when one of your friends' last update was to a user with protected updates which you did not have access to. To make up for the crash I've greatly improved the speed of refreshing your friends' status list.
Grab the new version from http://twaddle.mobi/
Thanks mate, im going on holiday for a week on saturday so Ive installed it on my Blackstone and I'll use it while im away, at first glance it looks good.
Twaddle v0.1.3
I've just released Twaddle v0.1.3 - it features optimised avatar downloading, a few crash related fixes and AppToDate support.
Grab it from http://twaddle.mobi
Need logging
Great app!
Can you implement some kind of logging or bug tracking? Twaddle regularly fails to connect to Twitter for me when I start the app for the first time after a reboot. The error message just says that it failed to get my credentials or something like that.
Also, could you implement support for keyboard shortcuts (t - tweet/post, r - retweet, etc)?
Any roadmap for feature updates? Do you need donations? Keep up the great work!
P.S. I have a TYTN II with stock everything.
Version 0.2
Where I can get the 0.2 version? I looked the preview and its exactly the one that I want... GREAT GUI... ^^
About icons or picture, I could help you. Just send me an email: [email protected] with detail description about icon/picture that you want, I'll try to make/design it for you... ^^
Ah, could you please remove the bar at the right (the one used for navigating up and down), it looks bad and no use since your app use kinetic scrolling...
And if you can, integrate it with WinMo system (push feature and notifications integrated with WinMo system).
Nice app ^^
After a while of using Twaddle i must say it is definitely the best twitter app i've used so far, except for that terrible looking icon :-( Such a great app with such an ugly icon. Looking forward to the better one
Keep up good work, i like this app.
Any update on adding geo-positioning to see nearby tweets and getting a new view to watch trending topics?

Logging is implemented. If you look in the directory you installed Twaddle into there's a Logs/ directory with a bunch of files named for the time of Twaddle launch (eg. 200908251110) - if you ever experience crashed or you can't connect, send me those logs (support AT twaddle DOT mobi) and I'll have a look.

No published roadmap, no. Next major verson (0.2) will feature @reply monitoring and direct messaging support. As well as the new icon bar (see http://twaddle.mobi for screenshots).
In regards to donations, they're always a nice way to show your support. Not sure on the forum rules for posting donation links, so to be safe, there's a link for donating on http://twaddle.mobi in the top right.

0.2 hasn't been released yet - I need to polish up a few features and make some general improvements before I release it. That may take a bit of time as I've just moved house so I've without an internet connection / unpacking insteead of coding.

I'm a little bit hesitant to remove the scrollbar. Whilst I don't use it to scroll, I personally still use it to see how far through the list of tweets I am. I also think it serves an important function in telling users (especially those new to the application) that the view has more information and that they can scroll about.

Glad you like it. If you, or anyone else, would like to provide icons, the icons I need are;
- Program icon (16x16, 32x32, 64x64. A 128x128 one for the website would be good too). I don't really have any suggestions of what the icon should be... so feel free to come up with one.
- 16x16 transparent icon to indicate a favourite tweet (heart or star?)
- 16x16 transparent icon to indicate a user with locked statuses (Padlock)
- 16x16 transparent icon to indicate a tweet is a reply (Arrow or some such?)
- 1x38 image to be used as the background of the icon bar - should be something that looks good stretched out.
- 38x38 image to be used for the selected icon in the icon bar - this gets drawn with a rounded border.
- Icons for each view of Twaddle in 32x32 and 96x96: Timeline, friends, mentions / @replies, direct messages, settings, post. Ones for search, trends, geo-location and followers would also be good.

Not for a while yet - you'd be looking at 0.3 at the very earliest (which is a 2-3 months away, I'd say).
It seems i can't send a tweet, twaddle 0.1.3 keeps saying "error" after "sending". Don't know why. Downloading tweets of others works fine though.
Update: oh, it seems twaddle can't handle diacritics like í é á ý ř etc (utf-8 symbols probably).
I cant even start using this app.
At startup when entering account settings it cant open the webbrowser for the stupid authorization.
0.2.1 Released!
This thread is a little old but thought I'd post a quick update in it to let you all know that Twaddle 0.2.1 has been released. You can download it straight from your phone's browser at http://get.twaddle.mobi Otherwise head over to http://twaddle.mobi/
Lots of bug fixes (including fixed support of multi-byte UTF8 characters), direct message support and viewing @replies / mentions.
Any update on adding geo-positioning to see nearby tweets and getting a new view to watch trending topics?

Geo-tagging posts (using mobile tower information provided by Google) already exists. Trending topics are not yet supported - if you head over to http://twaddle.mobi there's a pole for proposed features in 0.3 and one of the options is trending topics.

[APP][2.1+] D7 Reader (Feedly|RSS) v2.2.7 [30th July 2013]

This project was started (read below for more details) as a Google Reader client app for Android. After the shutdown of Google Reader on 1st of July, the app was enhanced to support Feedly cloud and The Old Reader services. This list will grow and more services will be supported in the future.

I want to introduce my android application to the XDA community in the hope that it will be useful for like minded people and to get constructive feedback to improve the app.
D7 Reader
I have been using the web based Google Reader on my Android phone for long and I have tried several native applications in the market, which sync with Google reader, including the official one. However, I was not satisfied with any of them because of the below reasons.
All the apps want to sync in the background and store all articles offline (who wants to download those 1000 articles which were published a month ago, wasting the precious bandwidth)
The sync has always been an issue - I read article in the app and half an hour later I check the web based reader, that article wasn't marked as read
I couldn't do all the actions which I do in the web based Google reader (e.g.: add/remove subscription, label/tag management, article search, view shared articles, etc)
No app is instantly usable - initial sync may take up to an hour and this happens on a regular (scheduled sync) basis
Most of the apps are slow on my Galaxy S
So, I wanted to make a Google Reader app for my own needs and the result is "D7 Google Reader".
Below are details of the app.
D7 Reader: the fastest RSS Reader app for Android
rss | atom | news | podcast | video
A simple, fast and powerful Google Reader client for Android, enables you to access your reading list and manage your subscriptions with ease from a native application. The app keeps all the stuff in sync with Google Reader, always, without the need for a scheduled sync. It supports listening to podcasts or downloading them for later use and watching embedded video using the youtube app.
D7 Reader is an online app and it does support offline reading when the articles are explicitly saved (locally) by the user.

looks nice on first test, but one major issue: to open an article in browser i first have to open that menu and then click the browser button. should be a single click on the headline, way too annoying this way.
and also that check for ad blocking hosts file is quite annoying. If i like the app i'll buy it but please let me test the free version in advance without changing my system config. Show red annoying boxes instead of the ads when ads are blocked, that's ok, but please don't force me to disable my ad blocker which will in turn enable ads on all websites

Next version will have the browser button fix; I will consider finding an alternate solution for ad-blocked devices.
Very promising. Finally an *online* reader similar to Google native. I feel however that article list view space could be better used to fit more articles on the page, the last line is wasted with two icons. Also, how about showing article time in addition to date?

Do you think you can live without those icons? Even if I remove the left 2 icons, podcast icon needs to ne shown to indicate the user there is an attacjed podcast. I will think of a better way of arranging the information to utilise the space.
For the date/time display, do you think showing the time for todays articles and date for the older articles is a better option? Displaying both time and date will take up more space in my opinion. Please let me know your comments.

1. Maybe show icons on the same line as subject or preview? I really like the way Reader mobile page is formatted, clean and much better than the Google's reader app - article preview, smaller fonts.
2. I agree that time is relevant for today only.

thought of another idea....besides the widget newsrob has an unread count if use a shortcut instead i like this idea because its easier to change the icons to fit a theme...would this be possible for this app

ok ill try....for example if i long press the home screen news has an unread count widget. but newsrob also has it so that instead of using the widget i can place a shortcut on the home screen that shows the unread count ill post a screen later if its still doesnt make sense
I like the in-app mobilize article screen. However, the font is quite small for my phone.
Can you add option to change font size in mobilize article screen?
Is it possible to add option to go straight to "Reading List" when I open the app?
[add] Could you also add option to go straight to mobilize article screen when I tap the article?
Thanks
thanks for the app! i like it so much!!!

[APP][4.0+] Omni Notes - Material design + Open source note companion

Free and open-source note taking application aimed to have both a lightweight footprint on system performances and simple interface but keeping smart behavior.
I've always used a lot Evernote before, Google Keep later, but I've always felt that both of them were missing something I needed.
Evernote is very complete but too complex generally speaking, offline notes are available only on paid version and "too many clicks" are required to accomplish a task.
Google Keep is perfect to me for its interface but on the other side it has a poor multimedia attachment support, needs a registered account (like Evernote), and has only manual notes sorting.
So, starting from this point I started developing from scratch an open source application that is still far from being complete but is growing thanks to actual beta stage users feedback.
Features☆ Material Design interface
☆ Basic add, modify, archive, trash and delete notes actions
☆ Share, merge and search notes
☆ Image, audio and generic file attachments
☆ Manage your notes using tags and categories
☆ To-do list
☆ Sketch-note mode
☆ Notes shortcut on home screen
☆ Export/import notes to backup
☆ Google Now integration: just tell "write a note" followed by the content
☆ Multiple widgets, DashClock extension, Android 4.2 lockscreen compatibility
☆ Multilanguage: 30 languages supported
InfoCommunity: https://www.facebook.com/OmniNotes/
Source code: https://github.com/federicoiosue/Omni-Notes
Translation project: https://translate.omninotes.app/
The only thing that I'm looking for is a good note taking app with a floating mode. Add that and you'll win me over.
I just tried the app out and I liked it a lot. Great job! Keep it up!

Thanks for your support!
What exaclty do you mean talking about floating mode? Something like the application widget but always staying on top of other apps?
A new fixed version for spanish users has been released.
I'm always searching for translators for other languages than italian and english, contact me if you want to help!

Sorry for the late reply but yeah. That's exactly what i mean. You can check the play store for an app called floating stickies. Thats exactly what i wish for but unfortunately the app isn't being developed anymore.

I've seen what you meant, actually its not a prioritary feature.
The first things that must be competed are checklists and cloud synchronization.
Anyhow I'll be glad if you'd join the Google+ Community and add your request to the apposite section!
I love the interface and I really like that clock when setting the reminder time, it really is a cool time setting clock, however, is it possible to add in an am/pm option instead of the 24 hour clock? I am from the U.S. and while I like the idea of a 24 hour clock since the rest of the world uses it, almost no clocks here use the 24 hour format and it is just easier for me to use am/pm. Also do you plan, or is there a way, to add in some sort of check box option next to reminders or notes to indicate that they are done/taken care of or perhaps make an option to create either a regular nnote or a checklist type note something like that?

Hi, thanks for your feedback.
I never thout about it but yes, I could do without too much throuble, but that modification will be postponed after the core set of feature I've wrote about many posts before.
One of these features is (yes it is) the "checklist mode".
I will develop that so that users could interchange mode without requiring choose it at note creation time.
New stable version is out!
New beta 4.2.0Beta1 rolling out.
The sketch feature is very simple and highly experimental, so don't rely so much on it, it will be ready for stable version!
Checklist-mode is fully functional, many configuration options are available in application settings.
This is also capable of importing notes shared from many others apps (Google Keep for example), so try it!
Last but not least, a 12-hour clock has been introduced along with many graphical improvements made and a lot of bugfixes.
Check it out!
New beta is out!
Sketch feature is now a little more versatile and even the checklist received many bugfixes.
Let me know what do you think, I'm working now on correcting last bugs ti release as soon as translations are ready a stable version.
Looks Awsome

This is awsome ive had it for a while now just keeps on getting better!!
Awesome! I've been searching for a good open source note app for years now. I recently found one, but it was a little bit too minimalistic.
---------- Post added at 09:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:55 PM ----------
By the way, the icon needs to be redesigned.
Nice app, simply beautiful. How can I help you in Spanish translation?
Sync idea
Great idea is to have a Sync solution based on own synology NAS !
Nice!! +1
Very nice work you make and excellent mix between Evernote and Keep
I love Keep cause the simplicity but the Evernote cause de multi-platform
now you just need work in cloud sync
Support for the samsung s-pen and you win me over. Excellente application!

[APP][4.0+] Shuffle My Life 1.7 (Vanquish boredom with random activities)

Hey,
This is my first major app I've produced by myself - it's called Shuffle My Life, and it generates random activities for you to do depending on where you are, what time it is, the weather conditions, and so on. For example, if you're near a park, there'll be outdoor activities. If it's after 10pm, you tend to get media-based activities like news, new music discovery, and so on.
It's currently in beta and being heavily developed, so I'm looking for feedback and ideas for where to take this in the future!
PS - here's some info about the permissions used:
Location - used to determine what places are near to you, to feed Google Places API (e.g. are you near a bakery? a restaurant? a park?) - Location is only stored on the local device, so if you delete the app, the data goes with it. You don’t need to use the app with location if you don’t want to.
File storage read/write - To be able to save images/videos you’ve taken with some tasks (this is upcoming for an expanded sharing functionality)
Find/use accounts - used for Google Play Games
WiFi connection and disconnection/network access - This can probably be removed, it was a relic from when the built in web browser needed to check if you were on WiFi before automatically loading a page (it now always prompts before loading a page).
Control vibration - For some fun feedback when completing tasks
Some ideas for the future:
- Localization and better support for other currencies
- Lots more tasks
- Some multiplayer element
- Better task submission system
I'm hoping I can take this idea and run with it, expanding it as I go - but I wanted your feedback first! Thanks for checking it out!
Oh, and the Play Store link is here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gadsby.shufflemylife
I like the idea but I think users need more info (may be more screenshots) about app.
Is it global? What about preferences? Why isn't it in Play Store?
It is in the Play Store, but I'm a new user so can't post direct links yet - I'll update it when I can!
It's not localized, if that's what you mean? The app should work anywhere in the world, though currency (I.e. the estimated time it takes to complete a task) is in dollars only at the moment. I'll add an automatic conversion at some point!
I'll add a couple more screenshots, good idea!
I just updated the app with a few fixes, including the ability to opt out of Google Play Games, faster loading times, a new splash screen, and crash bugs resolved. Any other thoughts?

If you press Kissmanga, a popup appears while loading the cookies. Once the popup is closed you should be able to access kissmanga. The cookies should be valid for a few hours or until you close the app, so you’ll have to get the credential again.

Downloading now, I hope your app doesn't limit the download speed. I have used some apps before, but they were limiting my download speed which took forever to me to download a whole 100+ chaps.

The download speed is not limited by the app, only by your connection or the server speed. If it's too slow, you can enable "Concurrent downloads" to download more than 1 chapter at once from different sources.

Oops sorry, i didn't check the settings, thanx for help
(xpost forum+rating) looks like it had the most feature available, although it is a double edged sword. new users would be lost without a short guide describing the options and sources, and how to effectively switch between online and offline mode.
Enjoying the app so far. One thing I have noticed is missing is a genre sort/search (shonen, seinen, shojo, etc as well as mech, slice of life, adult...). The option was available in an older Manga reading app I used to love and I used it to find quite a few great new titles to read I would have never found otherwise. Is this something you could implement in a future update? Thanks!
