[Q] Touch screen not working after cyanogen mod install! - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

when trying to install beast mode kernel i was stuck in bootloop so i went into twrp and by mistake wiped everything (i was such a fool my sddata along with my nandroid back up) got erased so i had no os..
when i rebooted it was again in bootloop
i loaded the bootloader checked my status it still said bootoader unlock and soff!
so i first flashed twrp
then i mounted usb storage and copied cyanogen mod {cm-10.0.0-evita} and flashed it!
{the version i downloaded was the only tsbale version}
it booted up and now my touch screen nor the capacitive buttons work please tell me what to do??
rilly messed up!

Just a friendly piece of advice, I answered this question for you in your other thread already, and duplicate posts are against XDA rules.

Its an old version of CM. Just flash a more recent version. Newer versions are compatible with your touch panel firmware, so no downgrade required.

Well there is the ruu so if your really willing to go all our you could relock keeping your unlock token safe, then unlock, flash the SU binary and bingo. The ruu is on the HTC Dev website.

Ok, here is my dilema:
Right now I have software number 1.93 (ICS 4.0.3), but pretty soon the OTA update for ICS 4.0.4 is going to be rolled out. From what I understood because I have an unlocked bootloader + rooted phone, the OTA update will fail unless I revert to "stock" (I am not sure here what this stock is supposed to be exactly).
1. Is it true and if yes what do I need to be able to receive the update ?
2. In case I decide I want to flash a custom rom, what should I do to be 100% sure I can revert to the original rom?
P.S. Some mod please modify the title from Tells RUU to TELUS RUU, it prevents Google from finding any posts regarding the Telus version. Thank you.

Unless anyone is willing to prove me wrong
Well, I am rooted with an unlocked bootloader, but if there is a way to extract the stock RUU from my phone I'll uploaded once it is done.

You need to supply more information I think. Get ready to eat some flame, lol
HBOOT version, ROM name, recovery version, Sense or AOSP
I know that if you have the latest HBOOT, HTC updated the touchscreen drivers so that it makes AOSP ROMs nonfunctional. There is a thread here somewhere that helps you revert your touchscreen drivers if you have S-OFF.

Currently searching this exact issue for a friends daughters HTC (did an OTA with almost dead batt, corrupt ROM, no getting in to S-off, etc., so flashing a stock ROM works, but no TP), here's your link: "Invalid thread specified. [Q] No screen responce after booting Rom

I hope someone can help me... I recently unlocked my bootloader, HTC One X ATT, I am S-off and have HBOOT 2.14, CID 11111111. I am now running Team Venom ViperXL 3.2.7 and it is awesome.... but I would love to try Liquidsmooth Rom or PAC . But when ever I flash them from TWRP 2.3.3.1 and gapps it boots up fine...then once the language chose comes on there is no touch response. I don't want to use TWRP 2.5.5.0 I think there are issuse with that one. Is it the kernel? I spent the day looking for kernels that work. Rohans kernel won't work because he says on for 4.1.X not 4.2.x. I need some advice what will get these ROMs to work. I try re-downloading the Roms and re flashing but it still comes up to first page (language entry) but no touch response. Thanks ahead and do apologize for this long entry.
You need to downgrade your touchscreen firmwait since you have the 2.14 hboot. It says so on the op of most of those rom threads and theres a sticky in original android development section.

Please stop posting. You are giving nothing but bad advice to the OP. He's in the correct forum, he needs to head to the 2 development selections.
OP, you are good to flash any ROM you want FROM THIS FORUM ONLY. Granted you have custom recovery. Hboot 1.09 will allow you to flash anything with no restrictions. So don't worry about fastboot or any boot.img. if you need any help with anything just ask in here and we'll give you proper advice.

It's not that my information that was useless. It was that the OP's Info was useless. He did not give me any information about his previous searches or attempts to find a sense rom for his phone. So I provided him with clearly obvious information to his question with the limited knowledge I know about this thread, assuming that there were no sense rom but not bothering to look yet again assuming that the OP had already looked and had no success. Now, if you're going to troll and carry on and not politely excuse me for being mistaken then you can leave this thread. Good day.

Yep. Hboot 1.14 and higher need fastboot or s-off to flash any image files. (Splash screens, kernels, recovery imgs)
So you having hboot 1.09 are home free. Find a ROM you're interested in, download onto phone. Wipe everything in twrp and flash the zip file and gapps in need be. Profit bro

If you don't know the device, you shouldn't be giving advice for it, leave it to the guys who know what they're talking about for this device.
By the way, the OP's information wasn't useless. He correctly identified his device, he gave his hboot version, and simply asked where to find ROMs for it.

I've seen a lot of your other posts and if you can confirm you are unlocked and S-Off then I would recommend checking that you still have a custom recovery. If you do, then mount the SD card and move a Rom over (with GAPPS if you decide to use an AOSP Rom.) Flash the Rom and Flash GAPPS if needed. Follow the directions in the Rom of your choice if they differ from that.
Or
You could Run a RUU and start completely over. Don't forget to flash a custom recovery afterwards in bootloader mode and flash a root program (I recommend SuperSU) in recovery prior to booting the system.:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593037
Just make sure you have an unlocked bootloader and S-Off prior to following any of these recommendations.

Please learn how to post properly to this forum. OP has appeared both here and in my PM, asking for help with 2 different issues and not supplying nearly enough info.
When posting a question, you need to state clearly:
- What you were trying to do (install a ROM, etc.) including what exact steps got you to the place you are at
- whether your phone is stock or modded (bootloader unlocked, rooted, S-on or S-off, etc.)
- what ROM you are on
- the info listed in the first 5 lines of hboot.
Asking for help with one vague sentence doesn't cut it. If you want help, we need details. Don't be lazy and just type vague one-sentence posts, unless you want the same in return.
Also, the question in the OP probably would have been easily answered by simply reading the Frequently Asked Questions sticky at the top of this forum section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136172

No worries. Just take a deep breath and slow down before you post, and if possible sit at a computer where you can type properly. Asking for help with one sentence posts, and not providing enough details isn't going to help anyone. You will inevitably just have to type later anyway when we start asking for the details (plus more back and forth, and more waiting for a response).
I'm not personally much of an AOSP user, so I can't specifically help. But I know timmaa (and others) are more versed in AOSP.
Exactly what error are you getting when attempting to install the ROMs? Are you using the official of modified TWRP?
