Tells RUU - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

So I made the mistake of not backing up my original stock software that shipped with my telus one x. Does anyone out there have a link to the telus stock software?

Hey thanks nighthawk. I only see a Rogers rom unfortunately
I'm guessing someone still has to upload the telus version?

Well there is the ruu so if your really willing to go all our you could relock keeping your unlock token safe, then unlock, flash the SU binary and bingo. The ruu is on the HTC Dev website.

I am in the same situation as the OP. I rooted the stock rom and I don't backup the RUU, I am still a beginner and I had no idea I should back it up

... Well your not in a bad situation, RUU is the term for a all stock, original. Nothing bad for you.

Ok, here is my dilema:
Right now I have software number 1.93 (ICS 4.0.3), but pretty soon the OTA update for ICS 4.0.4 is going to be rolled out. From what I understood because I have an unlocked bootloader + rooted phone, the OTA update will fail unless I revert to "stock" (I am not sure here what this stock is supposed to be exactly).
1. Is it true and if yes what do I need to be able to receive the update ?
2. In case I decide I want to flash a custom rom, what should I do to be 100% sure I can revert to the original rom?
P.S. Some mod please modify the title from Tells RUU to TELUS RUU, it prevents Google from finding any posts regarding the Telus version. Thank you.

First the RUU on HTC Dev is 1.91 and about the leaked ruu I have never heard of this yet.

I thought only 1.91 kernel source was on htcdev?

Ya sorry guys my phone autocorrected Telus....annoying.
As far as I can tell...us Telus users still don't have an option to get back to stock
Unless anyone is willing to prove me wrong

Well, I am rooted with an unlocked bootloader, but if there is a way to extract the stock RUU from my phone I'll uploaded once it is done.

Thad be great and I would direct you on how to do it if I knew how lol.

There are two there for Telus. The bottom most is the ICS and the Top most one is the JB one.
Enjoy

And that means what? I always update Q&A threads whenever. People other than OP might be looking still. Also, seeing this thread made me wonder for my own purposes seeing as I am a Telus user as well. Who cares if it is a year old. Mods would have locked/deleted it if it was old/outdated/etc.

You're not supposed to revive old threads. They won't ever be locked. There's a sticky with all the RUUs so there's no reason not to find them if you're searching.

Rogers One X Updates???

Guys,
Have there been any updates for the Rogers One X other than the original release? I couldn't find anything after searching.
Thanks,

Nope, just custom roms

I am assuming there is no way to get back to original Rogers stock out of the box since we don't have s-off yet, correct?

if my phone is only rooted, can i just double click the rogers RUU and follow the instructions to return to stock? will it still say that it's been 'tampered'?

Man I dunno what the effing secret is but I've tried all the rogers ruu threads and that **** don't work. Att and other ruus work fine (supercid) but that effing pos rogers ruu is rediculous... Always spits out some random error... Usually "incompatible bootloader error 140"

RUU 1.94.6 Internal

Someone messaged me for the 1.94.6 ruu as it allows for old bootloader reflashing. Is this true? Has the latest ruu been released? If it's been released I think I should be ok to leak.

I don't think that is true the 1.94 actually has the same hboot as the att 2.20 I believe which has currently closed the current exploits and can not be downgraded. I have never seen a ruu for 1.94. But have read of people receiving it as an ota. I'm sure some people would like to have the ruu since at present if anything goes wrong on a phone that has the 1.94 ota they are pretty much screwed because they can not downgrade to an older version. But in the end I would never ask anyone to do anything that could put their job in jeopardy so It's your call on whether or not to release the ruu leak.

send it to me and ill test it.
i'm stuck in update limbo after a failed update, and htc hasn't helped me yet.
I need a flashable ruu for my phone, bad.

main version error..
s-on
cant downgrade hboot...even you get passed the main version check...
only way for s-on to downgrade is root change main version or supercid
and find a ruu with equal.or higher hboot...

Yea needs new Rogers RUU of course.

Add required firmware version in Rules for Development

Hi everybody,
I'm here as a Sensation user with S-ON and 3.32 firmware.
I'd like to see ROM and KERNEL developers to show in the OP the required firmware version for their creations. Flashing something designed for 3.33 firmware on a device with 3.32 can bring unstability... I never tried, but it should be like this, right?
Some developers already put the required FW in the OP, but others do not.
So, what about to add this rule for the threads in the development section?

Nope, ROMs which are under active development all use the 3.33 firmware. It's the older ROMs that use 3.32

Well, this is something really good to know. I didn't figure it out because the Bruce's CM10 works fine for me (and for lots of other users) also on 3.32 And that's why I don't really need to go S-OFF and upgrade my firmware now.
Coming back to the topic...
In any case, I think the information you provided to me should be more highlighted in the development section.
Thanks for your answer.

For a guy like you, I'd tell you there was no way even if there was a way.

As you're with Telstra you will be able to unlock the bootloader on your device through htcdev then install the custom recovery then flash a rom with root as there is currently no root exploit for Jellybean.
As suggested above though do your homework first.

He bricked it. SuperCID and jb update = brick. Thats yhe reason you search and read BEFORE flashing. Just because u find a file don't mean it should be flashed carelessly. and just here in q-a there has to be a easy 15-20 threads on the 3.17/3.18 updates bricking devices
