So I made the mistake of not backing up my original stock software that shipped with my telus one x. Does anyone out there have a link to the telus stock software?

I'm guessing someone still has to upload the telus version?

Well there is the ruu so if your really willing to go all our you could relock keeping your unlock token safe, then unlock, flash the SU binary and bingo. The ruu is on the HTC Dev website.

Ok, here is my dilema:
Right now I have software number 1.93 (ICS 4.0.3), but pretty soon the OTA update for ICS 4.0.4 is going to be rolled out. From what I understood because I have an unlocked bootloader + rooted phone, the OTA update will fail unless I revert to "stock" (I am not sure here what this stock is supposed to be exactly).
1. Is it true and if yes what do I need to be able to receive the update ?
2. In case I decide I want to flash a custom rom, what should I do to be 100% sure I can revert to the original rom?
P.S. Some mod please modify the title from Tells RUU to TELUS RUU, it prevents Google from finding any posts regarding the Telus version. Thank you.

Ya sorry guys my phone autocorrected Telus....annoying.
As far as I can tell...us Telus users still don't have an option to get back to stock
Unless anyone is willing to prove me wrong
Well, I am rooted with an unlocked bootloader, but if there is a way to extract the stock RUU from my phone I'll uploaded once it is done.
Thad be great and I would direct you on how to do it if I knew how lol.

And that means what? I always update Q&A threads whenever. People other than OP might be looking still. Also, seeing this thread made me wonder for my own purposes seeing as I am a Telus user as well. Who cares if it is a year old. Mods would have locked/deleted it if it was old/outdated/etc.

You're not supposed to revive old threads. They won't ever be locked. There's a sticky with all the RUUs so there's no reason not to find them if you're searching.

I appreciate all the help. Another question. Since I'm on 1.09 would that be the reason its not changing my CID to 11111111.
Your not special just more phones with 2.20 were shipped out recently...but that comes with hboot 1.14 .... Which you have to flash boot IMG seperately...what's your softwares number ....if it's 1.73 there's menu one clicks you can use if it'd 1.85 jusys search for it its very easy to find... Idk if 1.85 works with the 2.20 exploits absolutely grim would know a lot more than me

That shouldn't be a problem as far as I know. As yes, having HBOOT 1.09 means you don't need to extract the boot.img and flash it separately.

Hey, I using AT&T Htc One X , 1.85 build firmware, android version 4.0.3, h-boot is 1.09. I am not able to root my phone using the above method. The CID wont change and it shows an error. Is there any way to fix it?
You're using the wrong root method. There is one specific to 1.85. The link is in the resource roll up at the top of the development forum.

I'm new to this site, just registered. Sorry i'm a noob!! So I have had the Blue Tmobile One S since august but sold that one to my friend and bought a black one from a guy and said it's from solavei, So I try it and everything seems legit except It's running Android 4.0.3 and Sense 4.0. So I go to menu>Software updates>check now to see if I can get the OTA they had in September but it says I am currently up to date. I checked my sotfware information and it said my software number was 1.84.1135.17 71ORD. I look online to see if I can some how download it and it told me that if I don't have these two other numbers and had something else then the warranty is void and I can't get updates. So My big question is how can I change my software number? Do I have to like root my phone? Then some how unroot it back to a different stock ROM? I'm open to suggestions and I would really like an answer thanks!!

If you're on 1.84 I would not update via OTA. You probably have a 1.06 or .09 hboot, which will be extremely nice for you.
I would suggest unlocking your bootloader via HTC and installing TrickDroid if you want stock. There arr several guides, including a all in one tool to help you with the process.

You can try typing *#*#CHECKIN#*#* into the dialer and then checking for updates.
Or you can find a T-Mobile US 2.35 RUU and running that. However it will be more difficult to flash ROMs once you have upgraded if you want to do that later on.

I tried that and all it did was say in my notifications "checkin succeeded" and nothing else happend.. so idk about that. I'm not really looking to root my phone, all I really want to do is have my phone run on the latest software and get OTA updates if possible. But if I need to root it, I will. And for the second thing, I'd have to root my phone to run the 2.35 right?

After "checkin succeeded" you should then check for updates in Settings, as I mentioned earlier.
You seem to be running an "ORD" build which is basically like a Beta test for the latest software. RD stands for Research & Development. The latest 2.35 RUU should work without rooting.
However that will upgrade your HBOOT and make it more difficult if you decide to root later on.

Do SuperCID then any RUU will work.
With S-off achieved, it seems like it would be worthwhile to bring everything up to the latest version. Is it possible to just push 2.14 to your phone without relocking or any of that jazz?
Why would you want the latest hboot? It offers nothing useful.
Now the 2.14 users can downgrade firmware to get rid of the touch panel junk

Yeah I used that one to update to hboot 2.15 in order to get use the new 3.4 kernel and the newer ROMS. However I don't have S-OFF, as it only works with the Tmous 3.14 (as it says in the thread), and I have the Telus 3.16 version. My problem is that with this new hboot and radio update, I have no service :/ I installed the new CM and even tried some other ROMS with the 3.4 kernel, they all work fine except I never have any service. And I am not s-off so I can't go back or use a different RUU :/

I read that you can use Moonshine on this ROM now. So you have a choice. Apply moonshine and see if you can fix the radio that way or take it back to the shop. At least it is "as shipped" in it's current state so as long as you are inside the warranty period they should replace it.

You can use any JB OTA for s4. But don't flash firmware.zip. steps 11-16. Skip them.
