Thumbs up for the warning.
But...there is a saying that goes "if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is ".

I understand the battery capacity number is hardcoded in the HD, so even if it were higgher capacity, it would still show that.
If you have a multimeter or other specialised equipment, that's the best way. Also, you'll need to run a few charging cycles to get a good comparison.
But anyway, cheap ebay batteries are just that. If you search this section, you will see tens of threads about fake batteries offering high capacity.
The only geniune high capacity battery is Mugen's, there are a couple of threads already about this battery.
(or buy a power-pack/recharger, eg 5000mah for €25-30)
today shows 1176mAh but i will visit tv repair centre.they have better tools then me.i let u know

wow thats real ****...thanks for the warning...Ive heard issue on all the brands that make aftermarket battery...only the original HTC seems to be actually the best performing units.
Not only the stock battery is probably the best performing one, but also the safest. Always be aware of the expansion and the heat that cheap batteries produce. It can damage your phone easily.
As for the capacity measurement, if you drain/charge the battery with higher current, it will show less capacity. Still the measured 1176mAh is probably closer to the truth than the printed 1800mAh.
thanks man for the warning
bad results
after 4th charging still giving shorter performance then stock battery.i will stop at tv repair centre early in next week then post here their measurement.personally i won't expect more like 1200mAh

To compare the two batteries you should rate them in the same conditions. So if you can leave the stock battery with them to test them both and post the results I would be grateful.

is there any other seriuos alternative on the market?

Agreed, I bought one of these Andida batteries from eBay as well, had it in for a couple of months & i've now gone back to the original battery. In my opinion, it doesnt last as long as the stock HTC battery.
I´ve bought this battery last week over ebay and at the 1st day i was pleased, because the operating time with it seems better than with the original battery. But after five daily loading sessions the battery drain gets faster and faster. Yesterday, after 1,5 hours Angry Birds and a little time listening music it runs from 100 to 38%. Today i´ve installed the original battery back and i was surprised. After five days in the drawer of my desk it shows 99% accu state. I will stay at the original.
not 1800mAh
It has only 1170mAh
anyone find a good replacement with higher cap ?
Thanks for warning.
As far as i know there's nothing better then mugen's 1500 =(
Don't look just mAh's, they will not tell all. Also, if HTC's factory battery costs ~30€, who believe that the battery which costs 10 euros, can be better than the original..?

Hi, always replace a battery with that recommended by the manufacturer ...
I have a replacement desire hd battery. It lasts about 25% less the the original one, and it is set "to be" 1600mAh strong lol
Hey Guys!
I just wanted to share my experiences about this battery I found. I bought it on amazon, and tested over a few days with BMW on.This battery had an estimated 2700 (!) mah (estimated by battery monitor widget after 5 charge/discharge cycles), and its real. I really tried to kill it fast with wifi hotspot, bluetooth on, while streaming video from youtube over 3g, and it lasted 4-5 hours ! This battery worth every penny of its price! So much win with this one! I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a new battery!

You can find it on amazon, or ebay!
Sorry for bad english!
Is it normal or double sized? If it's normal sized I'd highly doubt that the power declaration is right. Could I see a link please?

It is slim, so goes under the original back case. I cannot post a link here since I am a new member or I dont know why, so please copy this into the browser:
amazon.com/Ecell-2680MAH-EB575152VU-BUSINESS-BATTERY/dp/B008CYPKUG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353229813&sr=8-1&keywords=i9000+battery+2680
I added a picture to the original post, please check it.
I have a Polarcell 1800 too, but this 2680 (produced by Ecell) is way more powerful!
Actually it looks like one of these fake batteries. Please test it for some more days and report back than - I'd appreciate that very much
These 'Golden Business Batteries' are something to be taken very carefully. I have one that was supposed to be a 1930 mAh one, but lasts way shorter than the stock 1500 mAh one.
That's why I'm saying. It's nearly impossible to get that big amount of capacity into such a small battery I'd say.
Look I would not suggest if it would be fake. I am using this battery for more than a month, and its real. I read those ****ty reviews about the 2430mah gold battery and others.. Just google it, you would not find any bad review from this 2680 mah battery, and its working like a charm. The reason the screenshot is just 5 cycle old is that I reflash my device almost every week becouse I am trying different ROMs, and I erase every data connected to the battery.
I just wanted to share my experiences, becouse I didnt find any review about these batteries. It is up to you if you are brave enough to buy one.
thanks for the review!!
So how Ia the battery holding up nowadays? Because im really dissapointed with getting a new galaxy s3 and its battery gets used uo so fast. If your going to get a smart phone they shiuld be smart and allow the customers to fully exhaust all its features. I hate apple but always had a iphone and the batery never let me down.

Working very well for me still, seems to not lose any of its capacity. It can easily last for two days with massive usage.
possible to guess the weight?
can we fit it to SGS+...pls
Not to hate on Apple, but oh please. My sister switched to iPhone (4s) recently after being fed up with faults on her HTC, battery life being one peeve, and I still see her charging her phone several times a day.

I'm not saying that all high capacity batteries are bad.
But my experience with a high capacity battery is not so good.
I bought a year ago a Mugen 3200 mAh batt. Now after 1 year it charges very quick but also discharges very quick. My original 1500 mAh batt now lasts longer.

Hello,
What can i do for more battery life?
Is 2000 mAh battery enough to increase battery backup for "Galaxy Core i8262"?
How many hours do you think i'll get with 2000 mAh if i watch video's and browse the web?
From which company do you suggest me to purchase a battery for "Galaxy Core i8262"?
How much is the maximum amount of mAh battery which i can add to my "Galaxy Core i8262"?
What happens when i add large battery more than 5000+ mAh??
Please advice.
Thank you!
You really can`t put bigger battery, beacuse you know... it`s bigger!
1. Debloat it.
2. Use Greenify
3. Use App Quarantine Pro to disable apps.
4. Use battery doctor once just to check which app is draining much battery and then freeze or disable it and remove Battery Doctory

Guys, don't take this battery serious. You CAN'T put bigger battery in it, beacuse if you want bigger amperage, you need bigger space, whitch you don't have!

No, we have space, that's why they provide a larger back cover. The aftermarket battery is thicker than the original one, so as the capacity is bigger.
There's a kernel bug. To see if it applies, look into battery stats, see list of apps. If "Android OS" uses more than, say, 8%, it's affected.
Got as much as 30% when launching apps a lot. This causes memory pressure and the bug happens.
Known as "kswapd bug" and affects many devices, as it isn't even Android or ARM specific. Same can happen on a regular PC.
hxxp://github.com/sthalik/gcore_kernel/commit/c1e717d0b2c11c11015db9274645f073ddd2ad1e
Here's the fix. Believe the original's from CM. you can search web for "contention_wait_kswapd" to see where it applies.
While the kernel provided there works (running on my phone always, latest revision), I'm not providing binaries.

For more battery life you can turn off WI-Fi when you are not using it and also use task manager to watch unwanted background application which runs behind and uses battery, so Free NCDEX Tips, Great post.
Do not use battery other than 1800 mah for ur samsung galaxy core.
Do not use batteries other than 1800mAh for ur samsung galaxy core. Bcuz it can damage ur device's hardwares..
It's tooooo dangerous!!!!
3000+ mAh batteries can surely damage ur device. So take care of ur device even if it an big budget or small budget..

Hi jwalbro2013,
I'm not sure about it, however you can purchase a 3000 Mah battery from online website. Google search it, i have seen it's available. But buy it on your risk as i haven't try it personally.
Else, you can try flashing ARB custom ROM for A110, it improves the battery life of A110 by more than twice. I have tried that ROM personally in my A110.:good:
A little thanks hit would be appriciated :good:
Hey all
I was wondering if i should buy a replacement battery for my n910F . im considering the Anker 3220mah one.
Do aftermarket battery branda like anker have better battery life than samsung stock oem batteries?
Since lollipop update (3 days ago) i cant get 6h of SOT like i did in KK right now im at 7% with 4h 53min of SOT. I installed greenify and greenified some apps running in background.. I will see if i get better results
Also if i root the phone will i get better battery life? If i freeze some crap? I mean like 1h more of SOT ?

Personally i'd only buy a genuine Samsung battery, whatever you do don't buy any cheap rubbish on ebay, especially if they claim to be higher capacity yet OEM size. If that was possible Samsung would have done it themselves.....
Disabling stuff maybe will get you 30 min more SoT
I have 6 hrs Sot too and its very good comparing to other phones

Not sure if this is the best deal but I only looked a couple of minutes. http://www.shopandroid.com/samsung-extra-3220mah-battery-charging-system/8A37A19066.htm
I bought an Anker battery (the same one you refer to) as a spare with my first round of accessories for my N4. I didn't try it out until one morning when I woke up to find my phone's battery completely drained from some rogue service that had kept it awake all night long. The Anker battery has remained in my phone and been solely used ever since.
I did find it to drain noticeably more slowly that the Samsung battery that came in my phone. I'm not trying to imply that the Anker batteries are better than the OEM batteries; as there are variances between different batches of batteries it seems most likely that my Samsung battery just happened to be on the weaker side of the distribution chart...
What I am saying is that my experience was strong evidence (for me at least) that the batteries made by Anker are at least as good as the batteries made by Samsung. If I needed a new battery, I would buy whichever was cheaper at the time (strictly new and not a knockoff, of course). Taking a quick look at Amazon, if I needed to order a new battery today, I'd order the Anker for $13 rather than the Samsung for $18 without hesitation.
TL,DR: IMO/E Anker makes quality products are their batteries are no exception. My advice @patriotaki: Ordering an Anker battery to see if it lasted longer than the OG battery would be a good decision. It may noticeably extend your battery life (as was my experience) or it may not, but in either case, you'll have a quality backup in case it's ever needed regardless of which one you decide to make your "primary". If you think you should be getting better battery life than you are currently, trying a different battery is an entirely reasonable troubleshooting step (along with the others suggested), and most definitely worth the low cost :good:
