Hello! We're a ratpack of developers, our company was featured by Android at Google IO (our demo was live-streamed over the Keynote! Sweet!), and we're sick and tired of the friction that currently exists with file sharing on mobile devices. We're taking a step-wise approach to our grand (evil) plan for file sharing domination, and the first step is Drop, a file sharing app that is super simple, super fast, and super secure. We're launching the app into limited Private Beta, and we're looking for brave and courageous souls to help us kick the sh!t out of the prototype. The steel-booted can apply here www.get-drop.com.
See you at the Fight Club.

Interesting idea. Based on what I read from the link, is this kind of like AirDrop for Android? My wife has a few iOS devices, and AirDrop works pretty well. I'm an Android guy, and to my knowledge no one has done this with the same kind of UI fluidity as AirDrop, so it'll be interesting to see if you can pull it off.

Well 1st congradulations on becoming a developer. I too in my spare time develop but I develop games. If this is your 1st time developing a complete project I would suggest a simple game. A game like pong, space invaders, or pacman. I dont know your level but those can be made relatively easy and give you time to add something to make an original twist. Since I program in C language I dont know if any of the commands are similar in java maybe I could help. Goodluck on your project and keep us posted.
This is proly a tough one, but one I would (and many others) love to see on our HD2 phones.
Netflix watch instantly app from our queue.
Why they half assed the Netflix app in the first place is beyond me.
thanks for all the suggestions guys! knew some of you here on xda would be happy to gimme some ideas. First i thought nobody was gonna bother replying. lol. thanks again and I will keep you guys informed when i decide what to do and if I need any help. Thanks a lot everyone.
I just noticed your handle; football-fan. I am assuming you mean soccer?
Perhaps combine your love for the game with your project and develop something relating to the upcoming World Cup.
An app that has the game fixture, match time etc. It could also connect and update scores and match stats as they happen. It could keep track of the heats and results. Keep a tree/chart of who wins and loses, who makes it to the finals etc.
I have no doubt there are plenty of people out there who would love an app like that. Especially considering you could produce something that is ad free. I am assuming that any official app that comes from commercial organisations will be plastered with sponsorship logos and the like.

thanks for the idea!
but my lecturer was saying it would be better if the apps that we make would require move.. interaction / input from the user?

How about a playlist editor for wmp? Something that would allow you to browse folders and select tracks and build a playlist from scratch.
It may seem a pretty plain application, but it would mean coding a decent GUI (that would obvously run purely on user interaction), but it would still have some more "gutsy" stuff, like system access, reading folder and files etc., and you'd also have to make sure you can build a playlist file. (I have no idea what format a playlist is in - it could be a simple list, but is more likely to be xml)

Hey everybody,
I’ve made significant improvements on the tip calculator app I developed. My app is ad-free and requires no permissions. Why did I do this? Because it feels good to provide users with a free app, a clean interface, and an excellent user experience. I developed this because I personally needed a tip calculator that wouldn’t spam me with ads, would provide a customizable solution, and has with a clean and stylish interface. I believe I fulfilled all these important aspects, but I would appreciate any feedback you could provide to me by giving my app a rating or review. Please tell me what you think, thank you!
As a new user I can't post download links, but you can find it by typing "fast tip calculator" into the google play store.
A little more about myself, I’m an individual developer and a senior in high school who develops apps for personal, educational, and business uses. I am completely self taught and have never taken any programming class. I have big plans for future apps and will be applying to colleges soon in pursuit of a Computer Science degree. Thank you for your support.
Thanks Dev for making us the Ad Free App.
Here is the Play Store link for people who is interest.

Hello Folks,
We are two guys in a tiny office chasing our dreams, and our mobile file sharing app is about to go into Private Beta. We were featured by Android @ Google IO, so hopefully we have some tiny chops such that we won't be wasting your time =) We are looking for a handful of early adopter users who can play with the app and give us some critical feedback. The app is called Drop, and it is a simple, fast, and secure way to share files with people/devices in proximity. If you're up for the challenge, (and running Jelly Bean) then sign up at www.get-drop.com. Seats are limited, and we have a rolling enrollment, so hope to see you on there soon.
best,
The Drop Team
Wow, thanks for the overwhelming support on the sign-up gang! I woke up to see the sign-up console filled with names! I appreciate it folks! I didn't know file sharing was such a big and interesting problem, but I guess there's a reason why there are tons of file sharing apps in the app store, although they're mostly sub-par. Anyways, while I'm at it, if anyone would like to chime in, please list your top 3 features and 3 qualities you'd expect from a file sharing app. I'd love to include that feedback in the iteration process.
Hi Everyone,
Recently I developed an Android Game on a topic that would be controversial for a game; cancer. Due to personal reasons I decided to build and publishing this and donate the profit (revenue – costs) to institutes that research new treatments and possible cures. The game is free and revenue comes from advertisement (AdMob).
LINK TO THE APK
The game tries to make a abstract simulation of the disease that is yet playable and addictive. Until recent I had a very trustworthy reviewer that was very close to me. Now I make a appeal to everyone here to review my app/game and give me feedback and advice on the following:
* Game-play (Is it playable, add or remove some features?)
* Graphics (Images, UI, promo apps, icons etc.)
* Advertisement (Placement: when and where. sources)
* Promotion (Idea's for ''free'' promotion are welcome)
* Bugs (any errors or unwanted/unexpected app behavior)
* Language (grammar and oddities)
I sincerely appreciate all help to make this project a success!
Kind regards,
Triton Programming

The cure is already found. just not many want to regonize it as the medical miracle it is,
such a shame...
you can even grow it in your own backyard. but illigal in so many countries, i wonder why (ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY) no doctors cares about finding an actual cure.
Downloaded. Just wanna support, doesnt test your apps yet, sorry, i'm busy. I hope my support can help. Good luck

Hey everyone,
I’m Chris, anxiety sufferer out here in San Francisco. I have dealt with anxiety most of my life, and for me, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy was the way out of the woods.
Pacifica is an iOS/Android app I built for anxiety (in consultation with a Postdoctoral Fellow in Psychiatry at the Stanford School of Medicine). It consists of daily activities rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, wellness, and relaxation techniques.
It's our first week. Discussion/feedback greatly appreciated.
You can download the Android app at:

Nice, well done!

Oh...this is very interesting piece of work...seriously - while at first glance it may look like set of truisms, GUI and way of interacting with this software makes me wonder....this may be helpful.
btw, beautiful site you have there..
What made me sad - registering is not leading to full, erm, service...i still need to buy something, right?
Sigh, i lost my job, sorry I have no money...
Anyway, good luck.
