Thanks for the list. Normally (on my Note 8.0) I love the possibility of eg Lecture Notes to use the s-pen-button while hovering in order to switch to the eraser. Unfortunately, the air commands on the N3 make this impossible. Have to find a new workflow there

I have a Note 3 9002 (dual sim) version and it's designed for the Chinese market. It comes with 3 languages, Chinese, Korean and English and it only has one keyboard called 'Samsung Chinese IME'. The handwriting software is crap and nothing like I saw in the review videos of the normal versions. So a big thanks to you for sharing this, it's really great! My only problem is that if I switch to keyboard I can't get back to this method of stylus input unless I open the 'My Script Stylus' app.
Please let me know if you have any tips or advice so that I can have a good keyboard and this handwriting working nicely together.
I'm new to the Note, so unfamiliar with some of this software.
I downloaded Awesome Note and I'm quite impressed but it doesn't display properly. The interface resolution is fixed and only fills a quarter of the screen. Pity, it looks like a good app.
Scribble Racer, amazing Game!
How did you get Sketchbook ink and art flow to work with your device?

Are there any decent Calendar/Journal apps that auto load the current day ?
Ive tried everythign Ive seen in Play/Samsung stores and they all kind of suck , no pen support , or just ugly UIs.
The SNOTE lets me start one and have a "Week" as default...but then I have to number each one.
Id like one that auto opens to the current date and I can immediately jot down stuff kind of like one would do in a regular planner.

Even an App that loads up a calendar that I can instantly circle or jot stuff down on would be good.
There calendar to note 3????
I also tried Awesome Note but the display is wrong. I tried using xposed and installed it using a guide but no matter what I did with the settings it didn't really change anything.
Artflow says it's incompatible. I like the look of this, being able to export as PSD.
I like Notes Mobile. It's quite similar to S Note but I really like that you handwrite anywhere and it will transform it. I'm still not sure if i will use it. S Note integrates well with Evernote.
At least 1 more to add to the list, infinite painter. I was very impressed by the videos showing this developers apps (and you can try out free) but from the play around I have had so far hasn't been great.
I have subscribed now so if I have something new then i will let you know.

Hey guys, I've been using this app for quite a bit, and they recently added some Note functions like pressure sensitivity. Hopefully he adds more to it, but it's been my favourite note taking app so far using the English mode. Hopefully this helps someone here who does a lot of note taking and does not like looking at disorganized scribblings.

Best Note
Freenote is the best note taking app hands down!
It resembles dan bricklin' note taker app for iphone and ipad! but it's better, though you have to mess with alot of settings to finetune it to your writing skills.
i personally prefer freehand mode, as the text doesn't disappear suddenly and if i miss something from previous word i can add without going backwords with the cursor. also, you can enter small drawings with it, not with the ease of paint mode or ideogram mode, but still...
thanks alot for the post, i wouldn't have find it without!

No matter what pen style or radius choose, I can't notice the pressure sensitive effect. I have a Wacom draw pad linked onto my desktop, I can find the significant difference between the results on desktop and Note.
If I remembered it correctly, seems only ICS has native support of pressure sensitive devices.

I have only noticed the pressure sensitive effect in Zen Brush app (from the Samsung App Store).
You are correct that ICS has native api support, but the Note has custom-developed (by Samsung) support.
This app's interface isn't streamlined or intuitive.

The Note screen and S-pen is pressure sensitive....it is mentioned in all the reviews. It has over 100 levels of pressure sensitivity You can see it in the S-Memo app, and it is especially obvious when you use the pencil within the app.
Try the app DSM......LOVE it.
Tell me what you think.
I found free Note needlessly complicated.

may be for you ( and me too) ...However I have seen many people make real good use of it.
Hello, for those interested I posted on the Play Store a new application to use the NFC chip in an original way: Badge NFC
It 'a simple application that allows you to use an NFC sticker/tag as clock in/out. Place the tag where you want and whenever you touch the tag with your phone the app keeps track alternately of in/out actions, saving them in a database that can be exported to Excel
Play Store Link
BadgeNFC for Android - Home
With PRO key ( € 0.99) you can save your in/out actions on an online database and share them with a group of people ... for example, a small gym managed by a group of friends could put a preconfigured sticker and record to the online database all the clock in/out actions ... of course everyone has to have an Android phone with NFC chip ... but I guess you do not associate with Apple boys ...
For example, I'm using this app at my office: I placed an NFC stick near my company clock-in machine so I can compare my in/out actions with those registered from my company ...
I accept suggestions and / or criticism ... I'm not a developer by profession, only in my spare time ...
Matteo
EDIT: Version 3.0 is out: now with new method to register actions; this method allow you to enter custom name, custom action and custom fields using a specific Uri/Url; let's say you are a baseball coach; you can assign to each of your user a custom NFC tag with his name, his category (using action parameter) and some other attribute (using custom_field parameter):
badge://nfc?name=my_name&action=my_action&custom_field=my_field
where bold strings can be edited by you to insert the values you want.

Nice app, I purchased the pro version to support. I had something almost like this set up with NFC Tasker and the Tasker app where I would "clock in" with my phone, then when I "clocked-out", an event would be sent to my Google calendar. I like the idea of having transfer via excel spreadsheet though.
This is a very interesting application. It helps me through what I need it for and the NFC support is really seemless. I think this kind of NFC support would be an awesome addition to my app which I'm currently improving, check it out!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089865

Your app is interesting ... how do you think to interact with NFC tags? Maybe do you want to switch on/off your "auto replay mode"? What is Frequency?
Frequency is my latest app that tracks your app usage, that way you can always know what apps you use, how much you use them, and when you use them. I initially made it because I wanted an easy solution to see which apps I no longer use and can then install, but this is only one of the uses you can have from this app.
What are the features?
Show how much you've used your apps today, in the past week, past month, past 3 months, past year, or all time
Either show only the apps that you have run, or show all installed apps
Easily hide apps that you don't want to display in the list
Change the app-tracking accuracy for the background process, that way you can choose more or less app tracking accuracy for more or less battery-consumpution
Runs in the background, don't worry about having to start the app
Ability to have the background process start at device boot-up, so that you don't have to start the app once for the background process to run
If I could get any suggestions that would be great!
Great app, i have a feature request. Can you please add number of opening for app? For example tapatalk opening 20 times in a day... Etc

It's not a battery drain. Many Apps actually include what this app does like betterbatterystats. My guess is all this does is keep track of the number of alarms activated per app (I'm not a Dev :/)
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Also include a tab with "not used apps". Since I like to install all apps I see, I forget which are handy and which I never use. With your app this problem can easily be solved

4.3 .569
CWM
Doomkernel
Xposed
I believe that the app only displays those apps that you actively have open, while the display is on. Anyway to track apps that you also have actively running in the background?
2 examples that I have: When I'm in the car I have Waze and Torque always running. So I can get verbal directions and see my gauges in Torque. It only reports on one app, whichever is in focus.
Also, if listening to a book in Audible, or music in Pandora, unless the display is on, the app isn't tracking the time used unless the display is on, even if I'm listening to music via headphones or Bluetooth.

Yep you got it! I use BetterBatteryStats to see how much battery it uses but you can also see through the Android stock battery usage Settings screen. At the default 30 seconds I would say it uses a reasonable amount of battery, but of course that is why I added in being able to change the accuracy.

Hola Guyz !!!
I M CREATING THIS POST TO SPREAD THE NEWS ON XDA !!!
YES THE NEWS IS FROM OTHER SITES !! SO DONT BLAME ME !!
]Nokia may have been a tad too quiet these past few weeks - following the completion of Microsoft's landmark acquisition of its handset business - but that doesn't mean that the legendary Finnish electronics company has altogether dropped its vision of coming up with innovative products and services.
Thanks to Aswin08 !
Sure, Nokia won't be making phones anymore -- but considering its rich history and winning tradition (at least during the height of its glorious Symbian Era), its innovations are bound to go on in other ways.
In fact, just a few hours ago, Nokia shocked the tech community by releasing - of all things - its first ever launcher for Android smartphones simply called Z.
oFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE COMPANY -
"At Nokia we’ve been thinking about ways to make smartphones easier to use, and there’s one problem we’ve thought about a lot; how to find stuff right when you need it. Today, people have an average of 48 apps on their phones, and that number is growing. When you add in contacts, web content, and tasks, it’s easy to see how tricky our devices have become to use.
Did you know every time you shuffle a deck of playing cards, you’re making history? With 52 cards to a deck, the number of possible combinations is so huge that your combination probably never existed before. Our phones are starting to feel this random too.
Finding the right app or contact – your Ace of Spades – constantly changes depending on where you are, what you’re doing, and what time of day it is. We’re introducing a pre-beta version of the Z Launcher to help change this.
As soon as you install and start using Z Launcher, it starts learning what you use throughout the day and automatically surfaces whatever you’re most likely to need at the right moment.
We also added a feature called Scribble – a fast and fun way to find anything on your phone in as little as one second. We’re used to tapping away at our phones to find things – rooting through folders, swiping and scrolling. Scribble makes this easier: Simply draw the first letter of what you’re looking for, right on your screen. Ta da! Z Launcher brings you the right app, contact, or task practically instantaneously. Or, as we like to say, less tapping, more apping."

I downloaded it from the official site and I like this launcher!

You may try to add z launcher acc from acc synchronization under setting. But I think time is out,no registration for beta test now.

Nice work.
This is some nice work! It has a very polished and professional look. Though the icons and window controls make it unusable on my tablet because they do not scale up.

The minimized window icons are the size of an 8pt letter; they are hard to tap. The close button on floating windows is so small that it takes several attempts to close one.

Very handy app! Great job mate! Love the design and simplicity :victory:
As a proof of my appreciation i have hitted the Thanks button on all your posts
Nice App!!!
Does it float all app? {Excluding Games...}
nice works:fingers-crossed:
Brilliant !! Simply Brilliant !! Thanks !!
It seems like a pretty cool idea. Floating windows, like it done in Windows OS, is very necessary thing for android os.
But somehow, this app doesn't work for my nexus 5. Any apps just continue work in full scale.

I have the same problem on a GT9505, apps continue to work in full scale. Great idea for an app though
Nice work!!! (saluted)
Downloaded and tried for few minutes and works great
But I only got 512mb (4xx in actual) RAM on my phone
Can you add a switch or something to stop the service?
(it took to much ram for me to play games lol)
Btw, I can help translate this nice work to Chinese (Traditional)
Sorry for my bad English...

I have the same problem on my I9505, hope for a fix, this is something that needs to be in android stock! Great job!
Great Thanks man ...
Dear Friend ... Your app was a great , brilliant app that worked great on my Galaxy Note 10.1 ( 2014 Edition ) but , the small problem ( it's not a problem but a bit in convenience ) is that the Icons ( the icons shown in the right side of the screen which you should touch to reach the panel of CPU / RAM / etc. ) are a bit small that makes touching them a bit hard ... I were thinking of a Tablet Edition of the app to get a bit bigger icons ... anyway Thanks for your brilliant job ...
With Best Wishes

Same problem on Galaxy Note2 N7100, All apps open in normal window and doesn't work in floating window
same thing here on zenfone 6
shortcuts doesnnt do float, but the widget does, and I'm fine with it, as i read notes on a floating widget while writing it on wechat daily
Nice!
Seriously good job mate! Very professional design.
Same issue as others have noticed, all my apps still open in full screen on my nexus 5 and nvidia shield.
Doesn't work with Redmi note. Apps / shortcut run in full screen, widgets on the other hand.. disappear when i switch to another full screen app.
Yes it seems floating windows and Nexus 5 do not get along. None that I've tried have worked reliably.
