Partial Wakelock Issues - Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

Any of you had any problems with the partial wakelock AutoSmsService? It's been running on my phone for over an hour and is really messing with my phones deep sleep. I've googled it many times and have come up with nothing. I'm running BeanStalk. I've turned a few things off with System Tuner but all related to Google, don't know if that matters. Any and all help would be appreciated!

Well I figured out a fix for now in case anyone else has this wakelock. It's real simple and I don't know if it's permanent but it's gone. Just clear cache of the messaging app. So far so good!

[Q] deleted_wake lock?

Hey guys, I'm new to xda and have noticed a small problem.
I have a wakelock called delted_wake lock, i know cause it says that on battery battery stats.
I was wondering if any of you guys have the same issue or a fix.
Oh and I'm on CleanROM 5.1.1, fresh from odined stock with absoutely no mods/themes/etc.
Any help will be very much appreciated, thanks!
Deleted wake locks can have a bunch of causes- see the BBS knowledge base
https://github.com/asksven/BetterBatteryStats-Knowledge-Base/wiki/deleted_wake_locks
It's primarily caused by simple things like turning wifi off, or uninstalling an app

Big wakelock I cannot find any information about, could someone help?

Ever since I've got the Moto G I've had a mysterious wakelock called 'qcamera2factory'. I cannot find any information about it on Google and was wondering if anyone has the same wakelock or know where its from?
Yeah, It happens to me too, but..is this a real problem?
Battery average in the last 4 hours, wifi and 3G on, sync on, with 95% of this wakelock active in that time, is 1,5% per hour. Seems pretty good to me.
Maybe we should have a look at this:
https://android.googlesource.com/pl...-mr2.0-release/QCamera2/HAL/QCamera2Factory.h
Ask motorola via twitter if you can, seems they respond to bad news pretty quickly
Seems to be a logging issue, so if we delete the log, the wakelock should be gone, too.

For me it was caused by Snapchat - once I opened Snapchat the only way to stop qcamera2factory doing this was a restart.
I've removed Snapchat and in the four hours since qcamera2factory has only reached 0.3 s.

How do we delete the log and what implications will that have?

Have the same issue, see my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48566966&postcount=13
Any news on this yet?
See the other thread: uninstalling Skype + a reboot fixed it for me.

Help with a couple wakelocks

I am not too versed with this, was hoping that someone could help. My battery life while in idle seems to be suffering quite a bit. Here are the wakelocks that I see using BBS. Any idea what I should do to help my situation?
Do folks keep Google Now off? That seems to be one of the wakelocks but not sure what the other one is.
I'm on stock 4.4.2 using Franco's kernel r24.
Thanks very much!

Don't know why the second pic didn't attach, including now.

Here's a thread where people have already discussed. No real solution yet other than reboot and hope it goes away ...

I'm also on stock 4.4.2 and Franco, and have the same BBS stats, but when my phone is in stand-by, it only burns 1-2%/hr. SOT, on the other hand, is 9-10%/hr. on low brightness, and can go up to 15%/hr on medium brightness.

Switch location mode to device only.
To permanently solve Google Now issues, Greenify it via Xposed. Unsure of the ramifications of this if using GEL.

I'm not familiar with Xposed - isn't Greenify just a regular app? Thanks for the help!

Greenify is an app on the play store, but you can't greenify system apps with it unless you get Xposed, and get the donation version of Greenify. That's how you Greenify a system app. If you don't want to go that route, you can try uninstalling Now, then grabbing it from the play store (or just move it to /data). This way Greenify will be able to control it.
Thanks mate. I gave it a try, but for some reason greenify with exposed did some weird things to my battery settings - the screen on time didn't advance (always said 2 min 32 sec), and better battery stats didn't display most of the usual stats. After I disabled Xposed and greenify, it worked fine again. Weird.

Inconsistent battery fixed by reboot

I have been so impressed with the battery life on the N5 however the last 2 weeks my battery is dropping 50% in less than 4 hours. If I reboot my phone it fixes this and drops about 10% - 15% in 4 hours.
I thought it must be an app I am opening that is constantly running in the background but can't see anything obvious.
Anybody got any suggestions or advice? I have stopped almost all apps and uninstalled the majority. I don't want to restore factory defaults if I can help it.
Have you checked Gsam? Mine sometimes does that, and the culprit normally is my kernel keeping the phone awake for whatever reason, and a reboot solves it. Not sure why though

Get betterbatterystats and see what your wake locks are.
I have gsam but not really sure what to look for?

I'm not familiar with that. Does it tell you what your partial and kernel wake locks are?
If you go to App Usage it will give you a breakdown of what apps are using your battery

I have this exact same problem. I normally have to reboot my phone when I disconnect from the wireless charger. I don't think that's always the cause tho. I would love to install batterbatterystats but you need root am I'm really trying to not go down that road anymore.

I think It's the dialer. I had this problem in 4.1.1 where it would constantly be looking at my address book in exchange.
In my case, Gsam points to the Kernel being the issue. I'm trying out a different kernel, and haven't experienced the same issue.

Note Pro 12.2 LTE not going to sleep

Hi All,
Ive been having an issue with my P905. Android system is keeping awake all the time. Anyone else experiencing this? Any fix?
I've tried factory reset. It worked fine for a few days but its not sleeping anymore. I have two profiles set up, not sure if this could be an issue? I dont want to root due to warranty issues. Ive tried installing BetterBatteryStats but without root the guys cannot help.
I've tried reinstalling the official software without wiping but this did not help. All the apps I have installed on the tablet I have installed on my Note 3 as well, other that bloat.
Not sure what to do now. Please help.
Thanks

I had a similar problem, and digging around, found that the NY Times app was using up a huge amount of the battery, even though it was set to only update every 4 hours. I removed it from the Magazine UI page, and while I couldn't uninstall it, I did restore the app to the factory image and deleted its data/cache. That fixed it for me.

This is so hard without being able to root the device.
Backing up, when you say it is kept awake, do you mean that it won't go into Deep Sleep, or the screen is actually staying on?
Assuming it's not a screen timeout issue, the places I looked were in the settings battery section - it shows what procs are using up the battery. I also checked settings for applications under running, looking at who was accumulating CPU, and also the System Panel app, which gives a different view into processes running.
What I would recommend is to charge the tablet up, then right before turning in, restart it (which will reset all the usage counters) and leave it that way overnight. Check first thing in the morning for what has been happening during the time it should have been in Deep Sleep.

Thanks a lot for your help, appreciated. The issue is deep sleep. Last night I charged and just before 100% I switched off and on again. Before restarting I disabled the NY Times app. Ive attached screen shots of the battery now. Hopefully you can see something that I've missed.

I'm not seeing any smoking guns there. If you're not seeing anything suspicious under Running in Apps Management or one of the other performance monitoring apps, you may have to just start uninstalling things and see if you can isolate it that way.
What does the battery chart look like, tap on that green/gray graph and take a screen shot. This reminds me of my LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1. LTE would consume battery like crazy sometimes, particularly when signal strength was marginal.

This is the current screen shot. Ive done a few tests and it seems Android system keeps awake even in flight mode. The entire weekend the tab has been at home and connected to wifi most of the time.
Thanks

try the greenify app?
last i remember the developer released a non root version but im not sure if your device is supported.
search playstore for "Greenify" and get the non root version
it hibernates most apps until you run them manually.. you could use this to possibly pin point the app that may be preventing sleep? hibernate all the apps you can and then remove on app from hibernation list and see which app is the culprit... each time removing it from hibernate and then putting it back or rather replacing it with another one so you can accurately see the effect of each app on sleep?

I tried to greenify everything that I could. This did not help. I found that WakeLock Detector works on non-rooted devices via a PC version. I tried this and yesterday I think I found the cause. Seems com.sec.android.app.bluetoothtest is keeping awake for over a day. I dont have bluetooth switched on. I thried switching it on a left it on for a few hours but that did not help. Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks

I don't see this running on my P905. Quick web search mainly brings up links listing in in bloatware lists for various models.
