[Q] All Share Cast Hub & Wi-Fi Network - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Has anyone streamed a movie to their phone from a Wifi network while simultaneously using the Samsung Allshare Cast Hub to send it on to the TV? I was thinking of getting this Hub to use while traveling and use the Hotel's Wi-Fi rather than my limited data to retrieve movies and then watch them on a big screen instead of on the phone. I don’t know, if being connected to a Wi-Fi network while using All Share will cause problems. Phone: Rooted Galaxy S3 with Stock Rom and Custom Recovery.

[Q] Any luck with screen casting?

I am thinking of going with the T-Mobile $70/month unlimited data plan as my sole source of internet for a while, but they only allow 2.5gb of tethering, which will be plenty to send work emails and browse, but not enough for Netflix, so I need some way to cast my Moto G screen to my laptop (or maybe a cheap tv) without any external WiFi network. I'm under the impression that Chromecast needs an external WiFi network (please correct me if I'm wrong), what are my other options?
You can use:
Wifi Direct, Miracast, DLNA, Chromecast
You can't use:
HDMI, MHL
If you have a DNLA enabled device, like a 360/PS3/SmartTV, you can use an app like Skifta to stream from your phone to it
About Netflix, you'd better try miracast,or open netflix website on your laptop[using the phone as a router]
[i dont have a cromecast, but AFAIK nothing prevents it from connectomg to you phone if you sharing your wifi]

[Q] Keep 4G connection when streaming to WiFi tv.

Hej.
I'm confused, I must have tried all streaming apps there is for streaming to WiFi TV and all of them shuts down my 4g connection when hooking up to TV on WiFi. I can not see the point of streaming when loosing my internet connection, I have tried them all, chromecast, bubblepnp, localcast etc and all of them connects to my TV and I can play some music stored on SD but I am not able finding out how to get chrome browser sharing to TV etc or tubio app to play on TV as the mobile data connection is shut down. I'm convinced it is a software problem as what I'm looking for is practically a extended WiFi hotspot. I'm using a huawei g740 android version 4.1.2 phone, Sony bravia TV and a Chinese TV stick name something, it all connects on WiFi so Im stating all hardware works. Please help.

VPN and WiFi Hotspot

One of my favorite features in the S7 is its ability to share WiFi (i.e. act as a WiFi extender / repeater). Since I travel a lot I like to connect my Chromecast in hotel rooms. However since hotel WiFi's need you to login, I wouldn't be able to connect my Chromecast to the internet. S7 solves the problem very elegantly.
Now the problem is that I need to connect to some media that is location specific (Hotstar / Netflix content). I use a VPN (tunnelbear) to access that content on my phone / laptop. However, if I share my S7 WiFi with the VPN on, the Chromecast does not connect to it? What could be the problem and is there a way around it without rooting my phone?
Regards,
Roy
good tread am asking all time for this possibility but can't share with vpn on where is problem !

Cast video to tablet from phone?

Hello,
I have a strange situation, I have a galaxy s21 ultra and tab s7+. What I would like to do is essentially use my cell phones internet to watch video on my tablet. My mobile plan does not allow my phone to be a hotspot, so that is out of the question.
So, is there a way to cast video watched on a phone to a tablet? Or something along those lines? In this instance I have no wifi at all.
Via Bluetooth. Requires wireless network is set to Bluetooth on both your devices.
