Update 12 - Reboot Force Close in S-Note got fixed (Accidently). Check details in my post in the page 17 of this thread link given below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449311&page=17
Update 11
Fixed some additional issues found in Scrapbook. This is the Pinboard main APK file and only this needs to be copied. The Other supporting files have not been modified at all.
https://hotfile.com/dl/249126479/de28fbf/Pinboard-Key1.apk.html
Check the conversations on Page 16 of this thread if scrapbook is crashing and should help you all to fix the issues.
This file below was potentially missing in the earlier uploaded zip. Pls copy to system\app and set permission and reboot in case Scrapbook crashes on starting.
https://hotfile.com/dl/249096606/32f2fd2/SmartClipProvider.apk.html
Update 10 Scrapbook
Use this file instead of the main Scrapbook File from the update 9 zip file to rectify issues with Videos &Youtube links in Scrapbook.
https://hotfile.com/dl/249073254/94607e8/Pinboard-Key.apk.html
I found that in the scrapbook while editing and adding a drawing to a picture, it crashes. Reason is a missing notes file in the System\VODB\MUL
Find attached below the link to the zip of the mul directory from one of the recent note 3 rom. Extracting and copying the files from the zip to the MUL directory and fixing the permissions is now saving the drawings to the pictures in the scrapbook contents

Update 8 - Some good news on maps
I have been successfull in activating the maps function in snote. As this requires a key to authenticate and potentially google can charge the key owner in case of excessive usage of maps, hence I am not in a position to publish the apk file I managed to generate. Hope you all respect this decision of mine.
I would suggest that you try and generate if interested the keys and activate the maps. Pls note the "Capture functionality is still not fixed in maps"
There are a few activities to be done to activate the maps.
1) Create your own keys. There are lot's of documentation out there on google that you can search for, here is a sample ---> http://jmlinnik.blogspot.in/2011/12/keystores.html
2) Once the keys are created you can register at the below google site for the maps API Key. This is a great tutorial for the same --> http://www.vogella.com/articles/AndroidGoogleMaps/article.html ( Pls note you need the SHA1 hash of the keys and the package name. keep the package name as it is. Package name can be found in the file below (AndroidManifest.xml)
3) Sign the APK file with your own private and public keys. Use the latest Snote3.xxx.apk file from my posts and run apktool (Using apktool guide --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1891686) and convert the same into smali files.
Before you convert it back to the apk again with apktool, pls edit the AndroidManifest.xml file and replace the android value below ith the API Key you got from google
4)the apk file would be created in the dist folder. Now all you need to do is to sign it with your keys.
below is the command line option replace the "testkey.x509.pem" & "testkey.pk8" with the names of the files you generated in step 1. File.apk is the apk file name you want to sign and File-Signed.apk is the signed file you want to create.
java -Xmx1024m -jar signapk.jar -w testkey.x509.pem testkey.pk8 FILE.apk FILE-signed.apk
Signapk.jar can be downloaded. Pls search using google
Once Successful, copy the signed apk file into system\app and re-boot and you should be able to get the maps active now on the S Note.
My special thanks to all the authors of the above links
***********************************************
Update 7 - Maps. (Bad News)
Unfortunately, google gives an API Key for access of the google maps application and as we have been changing the APK and signing it with a key different from what Samsung uses, there is an authentication failure.
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/android/start#the_google_maps_api_key
Don't think we can solve this as long as we use a different key to sign the app.
Any Ideas from any one will be appreciated.

Update 6
IdeaSketch Fixed
https://hotfile.com/dl/247601284/3739b55/Ideas-Fix.apk.html
Note: - the files in Update 6 and Update 5 are APKs for IdeaSketch and Magic Chart and needs to be copied into the System\App directory. Permissions needs to be fixed and re-start. As usual after re-start don't forget to install the SPenSdk3.apk
Also pls note that I have copied the files that Arsaw had extracted from from Note 3 into the VODB Directory. I had copied the contents of the VODB\Lib from his extract to my System\VODB\Lib and fixed permissions. Pls do this also in case the IdeaSketch or MagicChart fails. In case of doubt pls ask any of the senior members and do not mess around with any other Lib directories
************************
Update 5
Magic Chart File has been fixed ...thanks all for the help.. Magic chart is sheer magic!
https://hotfile.com/dl/247593406/b16e982/CB1b-Sig.apk.html
Update - Some Minor Errors still persists.. but many of the Magic chart Functions are now active
What works - Editing charts, modifying the Chart template and editing the chart data in it, making tables and creating chart from the tables etc.
Directly creating the Charts from the menu seems to crash at the moment after we draw the lines manually.

Delete the old file from System\App using root explorer. Copy the new file, fix permission, reboot. Then install the SPenSDK3.apk
file and then try opening/creating new notes and saving. Seems to be working fine for me. Saves the document then goes to display mode of the saved note.

Pls note that while testing I found that after re-boot the S-Note once opened crashes, but can be fixed by re-installing the SPenSdk3 apk. Also during saving the notes created, though the notes get saved. Logcat gives the following error

I find that there are some Note templates like "Travel" where there are fields called "Locations" that can use the map facility.
When I use that I find that the physical location gets picked up correctly though the map as such is showing blank.
Not sure if you were asking about the same thing or not

I found two bugs. Do you face the same two issues listed below?
1) On Re-boot the SNote Crashes and Like I mentioned I had to re-install SPensdk3.apk again for the S-Note to function after each re-start of the phone
2) On saving the notes, I find that though it saves the notes, S-Note Crashes and re-starts. (But the Note is saved)
I install its on my s4 but it force close... why?

Would some one know if they reference to some other files other than the SNote3.apk? If some one can help check that would be great!

Alright xUltimate has been updated to v2 What this means is that you do not need your phone connect to your computer to deodex. So you can just manually place the .odex files in (\origi_frame\) and (\origi_app\) and it will deodex. You can also transfer the .odex files from your phone like the last version.
It should not be as buggy as before. Also some of the features still have not been updated yet for newer roms. (I will be working on this in the next couple days to try and bring the "patches" up to speed)
I have added some standalone tools (Tools that do not need to be in the main xUltimate dir)
On most of the xUltimate standalone's I have added some example files in the .zip's so you can see how it operates.
Also Ill be posting the old change log for xUltimate main (When I find it lol , I saved it from google cache after it was lost)
-Matt
--INFO--
xUltimate Main v2.1 has been updated for android 2.2 (It should be able to deodex 2.2/froyo) Tested on Nexus Froyo (Only had a problem with Bluetooth.odex <-- But thats a issue with the framework.jar) Clock colors and clock remove have been updated for froyo. Other features will be updated in time.
xUltimate Color Converter will convert hex color codes to the proper binary color code for editing colors in smali
Usage: xUltimate-CC {RRGGBB}
xUltimate Theme/MM Optimizer will opt_png and zip_align all .png's and .apk's in a MM .zip or update.zip or whatever .zip (It will also remove any .db files)
xUltimate Draw9Patch Compiler will compile correctly made .9.png's so you dont have to use eclipse or motodevtools anymore. Look at the example files in the .zip and you'll see how to process your entire theme at once if you wanted.
Go here to DOWNLOAD
This makes editing your phone super easy. You can deodex your phone, change color for text among a ton of other stuff with the add-ons. Please leave comments as to how it works for you, and any suggestions as I will be relaying this information along to Xeudoxus.
I'm going to keep my eye on this, thanks for the update.
I would... it's an incredibly useful tool and very easy to use. I'm just posting it here because he posts primarily on DroidForums.
so how exactly do I use the 9.png compiler?
This is my favorite thing ever. Time to theme that lockscreen
i tryed to use this but i have xp x32 so i get a error , does some know how to fix this ?
Thanks

Please help me to fix the same. I've found some APK files under the origi_app with no *.odex file with the same name as the *.apk file. I've removed them from the origi_app folder to force the option 3 run to complete. But the process stops even for some APK files has ODEX files. There were 145 APK and 105 ODEX files under origi_app folder. Made as 105 APK and ODEX files, but still the option 3 run didn't succeed.
I believe I am having a problem with Xultimate. I have tried deodexing a single file (services.jar) and even with no modifications the phone will not boot. I made sure to chown and chmod it back to original but it also didn't make a difference.
I then tried to deodex with xultimate and reodex with dexopt-wrapper without making changes and not only can the phone not boot but the resulting services.odex is a different size with different contents from the original.
I believe something is wrong with the version of Xultimate I am using. You can read my thread about it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27289379
edit: here is the explanation of the dexopt-wrapper tool for reodexing files http://themikmik.com/showthread.php...w-About-adb-odex-themes-etc&p=75225#post75225

Hey Guys
I got a Question about this Tool to deodex some Stock Roms.
Can i use this Tool for my Galaxy Note with Stock "DBTLRK" ? Its a Free Provider German Stock ROM (ICS)???
And when the Answer was Yes: Can i use the same Instructions like this for the Galaxy S+? Or was Something else?
Thank you for Response
I'm getting this error as well and I've only seen that you need to set the API level to 14. How do change the scripts xUltimate is running? sounds like you just need to add a "-a 14" in the baksmali.jar command but I can't find where.

You could always give this version a try and see if it works for you. I am not sure if you will get any other responses on this being it seems the developer has fallen off the face of earth. It is just a shame as this was an awesome program and brought me a lot of good results in the past.

I found a solution to disable increasing ringtone:
I attached modified Phone.apk (from deodexed JPM - Android 2.2). Download it and skip tutorial to the 9 step.
0. Download Apk Manager from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695701
1. Get your Phone.apk (/system/app/Phone.apk) and copy it to apk_manager\place-apk-here-for-modding.
2. Get twframework-res.apk (system/framework/twframework-res.apk) and copy it to apk_manager\place-apk-here-for-modding.
3. Open Apk Manager running Script.bat inside apk_manager folder.
4. Choose option 22 and select the number corresponding to Phone.apk.
4.5. Choose option 19 (compression level) and select 7 (maybe works with 9, i just tried with 7 and worked).
5. Choose option 10 and when asked drag twframework-res.apk to it.
3. Open folder with Phone source (<Apk Manager folder>\projects\Phone.apk\smali\com\android\phone ).
4. Open file Ringer$1.smali with your favourite text editor.
5. Find lines (2 lines) that reads:
Code:
invoke-virtual {v1, v5, v2, v4}, Landroid/media/AudioManager;->setStreamVolume(III)V
and
Code:
invoke-virtual {v1, v5, v3, v4}, Landroid/media/AudioManager;->setStreamVolume(III)V
6. Delete this lines, save the file.
7. Go back to Apk Manager and choose option 11, when asked if a system apk choose "yes", then when asked if u want to put aditional files say "yes".
8. When "Press any key to continue . . ." appears go to apk_manager\keep\ and remove classes.dex (this is the compiled modified data or something ), then press Enter to finish.
Click to collapse
9. Put the phone into Flight mode.
10. Push Phone.apk into /system/app folder
10.5 Turn Flight mode off and/or reboot the phone to avoid FCs.
11. Enjoy constant-volume ringtones.
Click to collapse
If you get a "force close" Unzip (do not decompile!) from modified Phone.apk file "classes.dex".
Next unzip Stock, deodexed Phone.apk, and replace "classes.dex" with file with same name from modified file and zip it. Then go to 9 step of this tutorial.
Founded on XDA - original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893461
Thanks to Kyrillos13 for editing Ringer$1.smali and recompile.
What kind of issues? I had also problems with apktool, but then i found out that i have to download both, the install and the apktool itself... hope that helps.

Yeah Of Course... Here it is
Don't forget to disable the phone call sounds.
Configuration -> Call Settings -> All Calls -> Call Status Tones.
Uncheck them all. If you don't disable the sounds, your calls will be dropped (can't receive and also cant's make calls).
Hope it helps.

If someone know How to Fix that may feel free to post it here.
Wipe /data don't fix that.
eventually you could try the phone.apk from Jumba´s NeonGT SGS theme (may need porting work like image scaledown...) it features non increasing ringtone without those troubles along with call recording. dont know if this is so easy, but definitley worth a try...
Yeah, i did try it yesterday (there is a phone.apk and 3 lib files) but the phone stucked at bootloader :/
to bad....
I Fix that.
I copy classes.dex (this file contain a smali folder) from modified Phone.apk to stock, deodexed Phone.apk
And Everything Works. No Force Close

I have problem with non working Phone.apk. I replaced the apk but now I have no signal(no working connection). I also did buck up the wrong file so I cannot restore it. What can I do to fix it?
You could request the original file here ;-)
Can I have an original Phone.apk from 2.1 eclair?
Just tried it and failed. Going for reflash...
Huuu, didn't think u could be on eclair rom nowadays. This mod is only for froyo roms... i think there wont be many people with eclair around on xda anymore. Better request in general forum eventually.

Hahaha! I'm rather conservative! But I forgot to update the above. I eventually flashed the JPF. But again, the Phone.apk icon is different. Do I have to deodex the rom?
This tool is designed for the Samsung Galaxy S 4G ONLY.
I am not responsible for any damage caused by this tool. I don't see how it could happen, but who knows...
This tool will allow you to upload your bootanimation.zip and it will send you back a CWM-flashable zip file to flash.
Requirements
Samsung Galaxy S 4G
CWM Recovery (tested on 3.x and 5.x)
A kernel that supports custom boot animations.
Frozen Yogurt: Here
Gingerbread: Here
Notes
A QR Code will be generated that you can scan with Barcode Scanner (or equivalent) and download your zip file directly to your phone.
Maximum number of characters for the zip filename is 20.
Uploaded file must be named bootanimation.zip.
Maximum file size for bootanimation.zip is 10mb.
Your chosen filename will have a Unix-style timestamp attached to prevent duplicate names.
Your download url will remain valid for one (1) day.
Source Code
The source code is written in PHP and is available on my GitHub. If you want to try it yourself, your web server's PHP installation must have the Zip PECL extension installed.
Link: http://bootanim.crackpot.co
I moved the script to a new home at http://bootanim.crackpot.co, along with changed the GitHub project name to "bootanim". Everything should function normally.
Package Download: undefined
Failed to move uploaded bootanimation.zip file.
Tested and I get the above error message.
Tried again 12:25 pm still get same error
There is another one that I use.

What browser are you using?
I think I corrected the issue. I think it was an issue with my PHP config only allowed 2mb uploads max.
Version 1.1 is live now with A LOT of updates.
For reasons I can't quite explain even though the script is correctly creating the zip files, once flashed they do not work. At first I figured it was a permissions issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case. So my best guess is the zip file isn't being created properly.
With that in mind, I am going to rewrite the script to use the zip class FB used on his debloater script.
We'll see what happens, shouldn't take long.
After talking with FB, I think we finally nailed the issue and it should be functioning like normal now.
Thanks FB!!!!

Hi,
everytime I want to flash a new version of a rom I have to modify the zip file contents, i.e. delete some files etc, which is a very tedious process.
Thats why I created a little tool for Windows (requires .NET 3.5) that can do the following with a zip file of a rom:
- Delete files
- Add / Replace files
- extract .apk's, decompile them, modify (regex replace) inside text / xml files within, recompile them and put the updated version back into the rom zip.
The tool is still beta, so there could be many errors if you don't use it correctly... always make a copy of the rom zip before using this tool on it
The included apktool (for decompile/recompile of apk) requires JRE 1.6 and only works for Android Jellybean roms / framework-res.apk's - but I think you could just use another apktool version for different Android versions.
Included in the package is a sample configuration that is basically exactly what I am using. Of course you can change what files to add, delete and modify. Also there is a screenshot attached so you can see what it looks like - as you can see you need to have some basic knowledge of how android rom stuff works, I don't think this is useful to total noobs, sorry.
If you have any problems / suggestions feel free to write here.
I hope this is useful to someone
Regards
Abomb
Changelog:
1.0: Inital release
1.1: Some error checking, not all errors will be caught but at least some basic ones.
1.2: Files to delete and apk's to modify can now be selected from the zip file via file browser
1.3: Log during modify operation and bugfixes
1.4: More bugfixes, plus the settings are now stored in the image of a cat
Thanks I'll try it.
Nice tool mister.
There is any way to add zip paths auto (for example /system/etc/ etc) against to write all the line manual?
I'm using win7 and winrar.
Thanks.

I'm not sure what part of the tool you mean, add files, delete files or apk modify? And do you want to add a whole directory to add/remove?

Ah now I see what you mean.
I'll try to implement a way to "open" the rom zip file inside the tool to select files from it without having to type in the paths manually.
Edit: 1.2 now has that feature implemented, please try it and tell me if that works for you.
Version 1.3 shows a log during the modify operation and has various bugfixes.

thx im gone try it:fingers-crossed:
I have been on XDA for 2 and a half years or so. I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and skills and its all in part due to XDA and the individuals who spend their time helping others who have made this all possible. The list of those to thank is too long. So before you see what I have to offer below, I want to thank everyone around the forums here for your help, or criticism . Without you guys, I never would've learned what I know today.
Most of my hacks for the HD 10 are spread out around several threads. That makes it hard to keep everyone updated when I find or create new goodies. It also makes it hard for users to find these goodies. This thread aims to solve that problem. From now on, I will include, if possible, my tricks and hacks in this thread. This aims to make searching for and installing these modifications quick and simple.
I have created a flash zip that installs all my goodies and hacks I have come up with so far. I just need so others to test it and make sure the installation process works and everything that is installed works. So please report back your findings so I can remove test from the thread.
***IIf this zip doesn't work or if it fails the worst that can happen is you will have to flash back to fresh stock and start all over and re-root. So make note of your Fire OS version before installing this zip. I am not responsible for anything that doesn't work. If you install this zip, you are doing so at your own risk.***
This zip does NOT contain the Google Play Store. By installing this zip, I assume you already have it installed. ViPER4Android requires an extra step or two and SELinux switch. See below.
Requirements:
- HD 10 with Fire OS 5.6.1.0 or 5.6.2.0
- Rooted with Xposed installed and Flash Fire functioning properly. See here to get it up and running.
What this zip includes:
- *ALL* of my framework-res mods including WiFi and location service optimizations.
- My rewritten Settings.apk which also includes all of my mods.
- Stock Basic Dreams and Photo Table screensaver. This was one of my goals when I first signed up on XDA. I knew what needed to be done to get this to work, I just didn't know how. Finally after nearly 4 to 6 months of reading and testing, I was finally able to edit the framework-res.apk to bring you this and other features. I also had to track down a working Basic Dreams and Photo Table APK. That was half the battle. Go to settings -> display settings -> Daydream. You can choose colors, clock or set some custom photos in Photo Table. Tap three dots in upper right to decide when Daydream turns on. (Note: Photo table requires your images be placed in internal storage in the 'Pictures' folder).
- Google Calendar (assuming you have deleted Amazon's calendar).
- DeskClock latest update and APK for Google Clock (assuming you deleted Amazon's clock).
- Google Contacts Sync Adapter (Once installed, you can delete Amazon's contact sync adapter as seen here. Also for non-root users). This allows for a small amount of visual customization when you pull down the notification bar. When you customize your profile in Google Contacts (also included in this zip) with a photo, the icon in the notification panel will change to whatever you upload as your contacts photo.
- Google Contacts (requires sync adapter listed above).
- Google TTS. You can delete PicoTTS in /system/app once Google TTS is installed. It's very outdated. You can also delete both of the Ivona folders in /system/priv-app. Best to delete app data for all three before deleting.
- Latin IME (AOSP replacement for stock keyboard. Will only work when you delete Amazon's keyboard (com.amazon.redstone), any other keyboard you have installed, then perform a factory reset without installing a new one.
- Stock Android Marshmallow boot animation. The zip replaces the bootanimation binary file in /system/bin/bootanimation with one from from @ggow custom ROM for the Fire 7. Amazon had modified the stock bootanimation binary to force the gold 'fire' boot animation. Doing this made it impossible to customize the boot animation. So I replaced it under the assumption the Fire 7 ROM binary is from an AOSP build and is pretty much universal among most custom ROMs. And it worked!
- Gallery3d. Replaces Amazon Photos (You have to delete Amazon Photos on your own) with library injection so it is fully featured. You can edit all images with a full stock of editing options. (does not set lock screen wallpaper. To change lock screen wallpaper, see here. Requires root). I was able to find the APK and libraries in this thread. The flash zip there doesn't work for our devices so I modified the APK to be more tablet friendly, allowing for scrolling and viewing in landscape mode then added the relevant files to this zip. In the APK, I removed the options for a settings menu, because it doesn't function, but the library does a great job at making up for the loss of it.
- CM Browser. I was able to port over this APK along with CM File Manager, CM Wallpapers, Lock Clock and Trebuchet from an official CM Lollipop ROM for the Amazon HD 8.9.
- CM File Manager (Can replace your favorite root explorer).
- CM Wallpapers. Cyanogenmod actually had a few good wallpapers. I wish they had made their own live ones though.
- CM Lock Clock with weather. (Yahoo weather doesn't function. Use Open Weather and set update interval to 30mins).
- Trebuchet Launcher with basic launcher settings. (You have to delete fire launcher on your own for this to take effect. /system/priv-app/com.amazon.firelauncher)
- Google Calculator (assuming you deleted Amazon's)
- Stock Android Live Wallpapers and Live Wallpaper Picker (doesn't include Androids add on wallpapers. For all of Android's stock live wallpaper add ons and stock wallpaper images, see this thread.
What this zip DOES NOT include or do:
- Google Play store is NOT installed. It is best advised to do this manually. Even flashing Gapps doesn't stop you from needing to tweak Secure Settings a little bit.
- Does not delete or remove any files or folders. It does however overwrite some. The framework-res, FireTabletSettings and bootanimation files will all be overwritten.
- Not yet a custom ROM, but it's close.
-Build.prop edits are not included. My WiFi optimizations and ViPER4Android need a few tweaks. Please see the 'build.prop' section below for details.
Installation:
NOTE: If you only wish to install certain packages or tweaks such as ViPER4Android, see instructions below installation guide.
1. Simply place the DragonMods.zip into internal storage.
2. Open Flash Fire and tap the '+' and select Wipe.
3. Make sure ONLY Dalvik Cache and Cache Partition are selected and tap the check mark in the upper right of the pop-up.
4. Tap the '+' again and tap 'Flash Zip or OTA'
5. From internal storage, select my zip package DragonMods.zip.
6. Tap FLASH and wait for everything to happen. This will take upwards of 10 minutes or more, depending on many variables so be very patient.
Install only select packages:
1. Place DragonMods.zip on your PC desktop. For this I use 7zip for Windows. Right click on the zip file and select 7-zip and open as archive.
2. Double click on system folder then double click on the folder you you want to delete. Example: If you do not want to install my framework-res APK, delete the framework folder. If you don't want CM Browser, delete that folder.
3. Once you are happy with your custom installation, replace the zip on your tablet's internal storage and follow installation instructions above.
ViPER4Android:
I have not included this in my zip for a few reasons. The foremost one being it requires you to delete a couple key files so I would rather you make the choice yourself rather than me doing it for you. I confirm it is full operational and functional and doesn't force close once installed properly. If you aren't convinced, just activate the notification.
1. Download the V4A2.3.4.0 Lollipop.zip provided at the Google Drive link below or go to this thread and download it. Make sure Selinux switch is installed, set to permissive with notification enabled. Also make sure BusyBox is installed.
2. On your tablet, go to /vendor or /system/vendor and tap etc.
3. Back up both of the audio files, audio_effects.conf and audio_policy.conf then delete them from the folder
4. Go to storage -> downloads and tap on the V4A2.3.4.0 Lollipop.zip, system, etc, and extract the two .conf files.
5. Go to the folder they were extracted into and copy both of them to /system/etc, overwriting the ones that are located there. Set the permissions (rw-r--r--) and reboot.
6. Go to downloads again, tap the V4A2.3.4.0 Lollipop.zip and system, app and extract the APK.
7. Create a folder in /system/app titled 'ViPER4Android'. Rename the APK 'ViPER4Android.apk' and paste it into the folder.
8. Set folder permission rwxr-xr-x, APK permission rw-r--r-- and reboot.
9. Open App and follow instructions. Tap upper right for menu and set UI to expert.
build.prop edits:
1. ViPER4Android needs a few tweaks to the build prop. If these variables and values already exist in your build.prop, please change them to the ones below. You can use Build Prop Editor or a root file explorer to make the edit:
Code:
Ipa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=false
2. The WiFi needs a tiny bit more tweaking here too. Locate the following line in /system/build.prop and add the value to it as seen below (there is currently no value set and the best ones are 1, 6 or 11. You can use any number as long as it's 11 or less.
Code:
ro.wifi.channels=11
3. Locate the following lines in your build.prop. Back them up to a text file then delete both lines (numbers might be different):
Code:
wifi rssi->bar thresholds
persist.wifi.rssi.thresholds=-84,-75,-66,-55
Downloads:
DragonMods.zip (the main zip you need) - Current as of November 16, 2018
DragonMods5-6-2-0.zip (for users on FireOS 5.6.2.0)
V4A2.3.4.0_Lollipop.zip
That's all for now. This includes pretty much every hack, trick and tweak I have been able to achieve on these tablets so far. I hope you enjoy all of these and watch out for more of my hacks. Thank you everyone for making all of this possible! Don't forget to hit the thank button
Change Log
- November 22, 2018: Updated links to reflect the following: Fixed issue with Trebuchet launcher missing from zip by readding it to the folder. I don't know How I missed that. Replaced google Clock with correct APK. I meant to put in the DeskClock available from the Play Store. If anyone would like a zip containing the CM/AOSP DeskClock that changes colors as the day and night change, let me know and I will upload the APK. The reason for this mess: I used the wrong zip template I have for this package. The one with the mess was intended for my personal device. My apologies.
Problems:
-If you delete Amazon photos, when you tap settings, display settings, wallpaper, it will kick you back to main settings. Solution: download Amazon photos from the play store as a user app then do this:
Code:
adb shell
su
pm disable com.amazon.photos
pm clear com.amazon.photos
.
Function returns.

Flash it in flash fire...says that in the OP
Be advised
I just downloaded it and realized I didn't put th right folder in for Trebuchet launcher so the folder is empty. So don't flash this zip until I can fix it when I get home later.
Update November 22, 2018 1:42PM:
- Fixed issue regarding launcher. See change log at the end of the OP.
after changing the permissions for /system/vendor/etc to rw-r-r and rebooting, get the boot screen then boot to quick flash on desktop then to black, can only get the power down window to show when holding power. I'm trying to change the permissions back in adb. . can you please send code to do this correctly? if this is the correct approach. i backed up the 2 files in es file explored back up folder.
I got it....
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
chmod 755 /system/vendor/etc
this worked... took me a while to figure it out. But it's all part of learning!

It already prompted me to install drivers which I did and re booted and still no go. I'm familiar with installing ViPER4Android and have it installed on my phone but not able to get it going in HD10. This tablet needs some way to higher the sound, sound on this tablet SUCKS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flash fire will take approx. 10+ mins sometimes to go through the files then about the same time until the red flash fire bar appears at the top. With flash fire you just have to wait.

Try deleting the viper folder if you installed it via a file explorer. Reboot then install viper as a regular app. Don't open it. In a root file explorer go to /data/app and copy viper folder to /system/app then reboot.

I did that the first time. I had to enable Selinux Switch and enable Permissive which it seems like you have to enable each time you want to use Viper. The Driver Status now says NEON enabled, Enabled=Yes, Status=Normal, Audio Format= Supported but it still sounds like it makes no difference in boost in volume. The App you suggested Volume Booster works great. On my phone I can notice the difference on Volume quality and boost but not on the HD10 using Viper. What settings are you using? Maybe it's the settings.
