[Q] Google Play Magazine storage? - General Questions and Answers

I am wanting to know where are the magazines stored on the device when downloaded on the Play Magazine app?
Google says it is stored on the Internal Memory and when insufficient storage is avail. It is stored on the SD card (if one is present)
I have 900mb on my Internal & 62gb on my ExtSD. I've looked on both and still cant find them.
It would be great if somebody could help me out

[Q] Using SDcard as default everything?

So I bought the 16GB model and a 32GB SD Card. Works great n all but nothing seems to default to it (apart camera)
Gallery doesnt display pictures from it, games download data to internal storage.. stuff like that. Any way to default to SD card on some things but not others? I wouldnt mind some games being on internal storage but being unable to see any pictures/videos in the gallery app because its on the SDcard is terrible :/
Thanks ^_^
Check the super link2sd thread... I would link it but I'm on my phone... Are you rooted
Edit: found the link

[Q] What is the best way to extend internal memory on 8Gb P31xx?

I just got my new SGT 2 7.0" and was wondering how to to increase applications/data storage on this unit. I know it has to be rooted. But then I got confused: there are different methods out there that are compatible with only certain ROMs, some sorts of scripts that you have to maintain/change manually and etc.
What I want is to install certain applications (Like Sygic Navigation) on external SD card (32Gb) and use internal memory for regular/small apps. The reason is that that navigation app has huge map files that cannot be stored on internal memory - no room..
Another thing I got confused is the way those scripts work: some of them allow to completely swap internal memory for external, some allow data files to be installed on the external card. Can you guys advise what is the best and easiest way to make this happen? Are there any custom ROM's that already support it? My tablet is not rooted yet and it is Android v 4.1.1 (build P3113UECLK7).
As far as I see it, being a great tablet by design - it has a HUGE functional limitation - low memory capacity - only 8Gb for 7 inch tablet. Or Am I missing something
I juat got one of those too I'd have thought 8Gb is plenty for apps. Just get a decent-sized SD card for your data (music, videos etc), preferably a class 10 card. Good luck.

The problem is that out of 8Gb we have only 4Gb available to use. The rest is already used by the system. And that is very, very limiting:crying:

You can use gl2sd app or the foldermount app, both of which require root.the first one allows you to move some apps to the sdcard and the second allows you to link and move large game/app folders to the sdcard(which is what i do, because the swap scripts do not work past4.1.2). I'm not sure if any of the external/internal swap scripts work on the p3100.

What is that "foldermount application" you are referring to?

You can get it in the play store too, but with this app you can choose what to put on your card.

Cloudagent folder

I was looking at my storage space on my internal sdcard to free up some space and I noticed the sdcard/cloudagent folder is taking up about 2Gb of space on my system. Browsing the folder makes it clear that it's my Dropbox content and all of the file space is in flat files (e.g. no subdirectories) under thumbnails. I looked in the Dropbox app and it says it is using 1.7Mb of space, clearly not correlated. Does anyone know what app uses this clouddata folder on the internal SDCard

Figured this out. It is from Dropbox but from setting it up under settings -> cloud instead of in the Dropbox app. Removed this and setup account in Dropbox and regained about 2gb of internal storage!

Play Music cache

The cache for Play Music on my phone is getting to be too much and sometimes even becomes too big for the available memory I have internally. Is there any way I can get it to cache externally? Or have the "pinned" music to save to an external sd card?

Anyone?...
I realize googles basis for streaming your music vs storing it on the device, hence the lack of external storage options in their flagship phones (which is without a doubt the root of my problem).
My question is has anyone figured out a way to have the app pin your music to an ext sd card? I thought maybe having it installed on the ext sd would help but I want to know what you guys think before I do that (not that I know how, lol).

Luckily it's in the settings settings>clear cache
Edit: read your question wrong, sorry. Try moving the folder itself
Edit: You can use a file manager to set the folder the music usually stores to to link to a folder on the ext SD Card

[Q] Horrific Internal Memory Error! Need help

I can't believe what's going on. It's as if my internal memory is unreadable. Can't save whatsapp chats, can't save SwiftKey layout, can't save XPosed framework, can't play BattleCamp, and other various issues that all have one thing in coming...
INTERNAL MEMORY ACCESS. (whatsapp saves to sdcard/whatsapp, SwiftKey keyboard layouts are on internal memory, xposed is located sdcard/Android/data/)
It's as if my phone has lost access to the memory and everything located on the INTERNAL MEMORY. external memory works fine (music, photos, apps saved on SD card)
Idk what to do now, so stuck been trying hours to fix this... Please ask anything, I'll do the best I can to answer!
Thanks in advance!
