[Q]Xperia J no-scroll wallpaper - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Okay so I saw that there was a thread like this in the past but the issue was not addressed.
I want to know how I can set a no-scroll wallpaper on the Xperia J. I've tried a few apps ( such as picspeed or wallpaper wizardii) and they do the trick but it only last for like 10 minutes and then it's back to the same old scrolling wallpaper.
I've read that I might need to try other launchers but to be honest if I use another launcher like Nova, or the others, I won't have any free ram to use.
The reason I want to use a static non-scrolling wallpaper is because of the smoothness that it provides( the home screens scrolls so much better and the phone is easier to use-- buttery, if you will).
So does anyone know how I can set a wallpaper to be-and remain- static?
Thanks!

You can try installing serajr's gx home launcher and enable static wallpaper option in launcher's settings:laugh:

Wow, thats awesome. Thanks!
I'm still new to Android, so help me out with this here. I'm using LauncherPro myself, but from what it seems, when I set it as default, TouchWiz should never even be open, so why would it's configuration make a difference when I'm using LauncherPro? Does TouchWiz still load somehow?
I actually think I did delete most everything out of TouchWiz, but if it would make things faster I'll dump all the extra pages I have too. I'm not using a live wallpaper, but anything that will help speed I'm down for!
Well I just remove every thing for insurance just incase it does run in the background, but don't forget to remove the pages in touch wiz as well, if you don't use live wallpapers it obviously run smoother but the live wallpapers put iphone to shame, only if it runs smoothly of course
Thanks for this but what I actually wanted to fix was the app drawer.....
The app drawer lags terribly when I am using a Live Wallpaper with LauncherPro....
Anyone know how to fix the app drawer lag?

Launcher 360

For some of you that don't know this launcher, you should try it !
It works very well on our P920.

I totally agree as I am using it even as it came on Chinese!Fastest and lowest memory usage launcher with smooth animation and fast response.
Definitely recommend everyone to give it a try!
I'm normally using GoLauncher EX but i'll try this one for a few days from now on.
The first impression:
the scrolling is REALLY very smooth / it is even smoother than in GoLauncher EX with exact the same apps on the homescreens
i like the way the folders are managed -> like in iOS and with vertical scrolling (screenshot attached)
there are only few options to customize the homescreen, eg apps are not renameable and widgets can't be resized like in GoLauncher EX
maybe it is a wrong feeling but it seems to me that the apps open faster

[Q] help changing screen transition

i have a tf101 on ICS. I bought it from my friend. When he had it he had set up.screen transitions. he assigned the menu containing the transitions to a specific gesture so.he.wouldnt forget how to do it. Once I bought it.I formatted it and now I cant for the life of me figure out how to add page transitions. I tried googling it but still could not figure it out. Id appriciate it if somebody could.tell me how.to.do it.
sorry bout the english, my fingers are too big for my phone keyboard.
To set up custom screen transitions, try a non-stock launcher like Go Launcher, Apex or Nova.

All of them allow you to change the number of home screens, most have screen transitions.
My launcher if choice is Apex.

Scrolling wallpaper

Anybody able to get their wallpaper to scroll as they change screens?
I have tried the HTC launcher as well as Nova with no luck. Also tried forcing it within Nova and tried using Wallpaper Wizardii as well.

In Nova Launcher, I found that it will only scroll if I used Muzei as a live wallpaper. I didn't want the Blurring/Dimming of Muzei so I just decreased both settings =\
Mine isn't scrolling as well. Thinking what to use too so it will work and scroll.

[Q] Different wallpaper crop options on the z2 and z3 with lollipop?

Hello to all! I wanted to use a picture as wallpaper on portrait mode on my xperia z3 and I see I do not have that option.
It always asks to crop the pic. Also I do not have the option to use a static wallpaper and it always have to rotate.
My brother has the xperia z2 and can do everything I stated before! Is this normal?
I twitted sony but have no response after 48 hours and hoped that you will have the answer as always.
Just so you know we both updated to lollipop recently.
Thank you!!!!
I made the thread in the wrong section! I should do it in questions and answers! I searched but did not find how and If I can do it myself!

Moved to Z3 Q&A
Wouldn't mind an answer to this myself. I have a lot of wallpapers that are tall rather than wide and they are unusable with the cropping option I've given. :-/
I know I could use Nova Launcher but I'd rather know if there is a way to make this work with the default launcher.
I installed Google now launcher and use its wallpaper picker to apply those tall and portrait-typed wallpapers on default launcher.

That's weird. I tried that but the only way I can get it to work is to assign GNL as my default launcher, go and set the wallpaper, then set the Xperia Launcher back as default.
You need to long-press on homescreen and then choose Wallpapers and then another Wallpapers which is the wallpaper picker of GNL.
I noticed that there is no way to have a ''still'' portrait type wallpaper on the xperia z3.it has to be moving left and right and doesn't gives us that option. On the z2 if you choose a portrait wallpaper you don't have to crop it and it stays still on all screens... I cannot understand why they did this. I only found a way to do it on the default launcher. You have to choose photo slideshow live wallpaper and only choose the one wallpaper you like. The only thing i am not sure about is if it will have an effect on battery life.
