Here's a bone - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hey guys, I haven't seen anyone mention xposed framework around these parts, so here's a link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
And another for a huge collection of modules.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327541
I don't know how well this would work on this phone, haven't tried it since I don't get to use it anymore. There's also a link to a gb version in the first op. Anyway this seemed like something some of you guys would get a kick out of.

App says not compatible with our arm7 processor

Aww man! This poor phone has no manner of luck at all

Just out of curiosity.. Was it the GB version you tried? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44034334

Yea, it said something about being an arm7 device or something like that
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2

Hmm...it should be compatible with out processor, "Basically, it should work on any phone which with a ROM based on Android 4.0 or later and an ARM or x86 processor." Obviously you're running CM7 which would need the experimental gingerbread version....maybe the gingerbread port doesn't support our processor or maybe it wasn't ported correctly. I've seen a lot of crazy modules in the android development and hacking forums. I'm running a 4.0.4 aosp rom so I think I'm going to give this a shot when I get home from work today. I'll let ya know if it works out twitch.

I will be setting up a build environment too soon. There are a few guides around in the internet on how to compile.
It is recommended you have Ubuntu, but not the latest version because of back compability issue compiling. Also you need 50-100 gb of free space and a decent processor to handle all the work.

Ubuntu touch port

I am starting the port of Ubuntu touch for our thunderbolt. I am not a professional developer but I have experience in development. I have an idea that I will explain.
My idea is to make a team and developed this port. I have tried but keep getting a status 7 error during installation. The status 7 I get, deals with the update script. I don't know how to fix this. This is why I would like to make a team.
Anyone that would like to join pm and I will upload the zip I made and we will try to port this faster.

One problem that I can see you having immediately is the fact that we don't have cm10.1 to base the port off of. Also the current versions of Ubuntu touch lack any real world use other than to ooo and aw at. Without the base though I don't know how porting it would even be possible.

True but I read on the Ubuntu website that it was used on ICS. So if it worked with ics it may work, If we all try to make it work it would be good. The only we need to do is to get the rom to boot, once it boots we can check what works and fix the not working. This is possible, it just takes time.

I didn't say it was impossible. We are lacking the requirements. All the info I read about it says it uses cm10.1 which is jb. The other part that sucks the most is that it there really aren't any usable features to speak of yet. I tried it with my n7 and it is neat but not even close to being a daily driver.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Well.... we can try to port it, its only the developers preview but if we port the preview we can know what we will deal with when Ubuntu touch is out.

Haha I made a similar thread over @ Galaxy Nexus and they just opened fire, because I have little skill with this stuff as well.... Status 7 means your model name or something like that is incorrect when checked with the device itself, that's why you can't flash a GSM Nexus ROM on a Verizon Nexus... I believe this info is in build.prop if you unzip the zip in question and open build.prop with some Linux distro (Linux opens ROM files out of the box, suck it Window$).

I was thinking the ace was the code name for the desire HD. Not the galaxy ace
Sent from my N7 that is peeking through the blinds because it is so PARANOID.
I can take a look at your update script if you'd like. Also I would not recommend porting this as almost 0 things work. To each their own, though

Yea I already mentioned that basically nothing works. The status 0 problem is most likely an issue with the update binary not matching the changes made to the update script.

Any request for anything specific to tweaks or scripts.

Proposed updates for 0.3
Audio Tweaks - more details after some testing.
Camera app
CPU app
Seeder 2.0.0
Edit ROMs change log to correspond to Uncapped version changes.
Planned devices for this ROM ATM.
HTC Evo Shift, HTC Evo 4G, HP Touchpad, Nexus S 4G, Nexus 7.
The reason why this limited list, because those are the devices I have at hand either mine or close family.

Usually you make the thread when the ROM is released. I think I read on here somewhere that there should be no more place holder threads made.

Just a hint, add some screenshots to the OP and also say what the Uncapped features are (special options and features that make this different from other ROMs) just trying to help you make it look more appealing.. You almost have to sell it lol. I would help more if I still had my Shift.

[DISCUSSION] LG P500 will run well with Android 5.0

According with VR Zone, the phones that run with 512 MB of ram will run well in Android 5.0
FONT: http://vr-zone.com/articles/exclusi...ate-october-will-be-well-optimized/36950.html
This is assuming that it can even fit on our system partition and depending on whether or not they are bringing in mostly armv7 features. Hopefully they keep this in mind and realize that most phones with 512 mb ram are probably armv6.

This will keep this in mind because the Firefox OS, Tizen and so one run with low-devices
Not gonna happen IMO. The system partition will be too small.

i had an HTC magic. That phone is like an htc dream (t-mobile G1)... I mention it because htc dream has 256 mb of rom and 192 mb of ram. both phones are able to run correctly CM7, and partialy CM9... The htc dream were sold initialy with android cupcake and then where updated to donut. Cyanogenmod brough eclair and froyo to those phones and other developers (mostly on XDA) brough CM7 and CM9. In any case, the system partition and ram where a limitation, and that's because there are solutions for that (sd-ext and swap partitions? ---> correct me if i'm wrong)
The G1 (and the magic) were able to run correctly at least 5 versions of android. (officialy 2 of them) even with the BOOM of snapdragon procesors, G1 chipset were outdated (and i said this because there are octacore procesors out there and we have that Old and ****ty msm7227). Many other phones has the same history and what i suppose about that is that we would have at least 5 versions of android running correctly and actually we have officialy 2, and another 2 ported by these great and awesome developers here on XDA.
At least 1 additional version of android should run correctly in our optimus one. And maybe more... I understand that all what i said will depend of the evolution of android but Hey! we need to keep the hope right?
PD: sorry for my bad english. I did as best as i could...
Our device is already running 5 versions of android ...
2.2
2.3
4.0
4.1
4.2
And ...we would be able to run even the 4.3 ..and 5.0 as well ..
And for the system partition ..
I am currently on cm 10.1 and after cleaning useless crap from system
I have 28 mb of free storage in system partition
