Does anyone know if there a way to make a fast charge widget by using taker were you can turn fast charge on and off and have the icon(widget) change when you turn on and off the widget?
Probably is you use Secure Settings. I believe there's a toggle that will enable Fast charge. Just create a task to enable it and then create a widget to turn it on.
Edit - It worked fine. You'll need to download Secure Settings (and the helper) and make sure to enable fast charge in the settings, then go into Tasker, create a new task, plugin, secure settings. Save it, create a widget and select Tasker, then Task, choose the one you just created.

This works great, but is there a way I can make Tasker echo back the status that I've switched to/from in a notification? or change icon between on and off? I can toggle with the widget, but if I forget the state I'm in I have to to terminal to find out.
Thanks

You could have it set a variable that you create to 1 when on and 0 when off (basically toggling between the two). Then just set up to check the variable and create an Alert pop-up telling you it is On or Off . . .
Was looking to do the same thing. Here's what I came up with, xml in zip attached.
You'll need Secure Settings installed.
What the task does.
1. Reads /sys/kernel/fast_charge/force_fast_charge and stores value in variable %FASTC (0 = off, 1 = on)
2. Toggles Fast Charge using the Secure Settings plugin
3. The next set of commands flash a message and change the widget icon depending on the status of %FASTC
Setup a widget that uses the task, and you should be all set. Keep in mine changing the name of the Task/Widget will require editing the "change widget icon" commands.
Edit: Looks like I made a boo-boo. The read statement happens too fast and would still get the old value of force_fast_charge before Secure Settings changes it.
I moved the statements around and edited the IF statements for switching icons and flashing messages. attachment updated.

I just installed Secure Settings on my Note8, and for the Fast Charging option, the app is telling me that I do not have a compatible kernel... Does any know what this may be?
Hi folks,
My first post!
I'm running CM10.1 on rooted HTC ONE X.
I would like to use profiles to automate some settings on my phone, such as home, work, car etc that toggle WiFi, adjust volume, brightness...etc.
I can see three ways to do this:
1) Use CM10.1 profiles and add shortcut to profiles in quick settings panel.
2) Use NFC Task Launcher and NFC tags
3) Use Tasker and activate profiles by connecting to home WiFi, Bluetooth, near cell tower etc
I suppose I could also use a combination of the above?
What do you do? What are the pros and cons?
Thanks

Hi.
Does anyone know if it's possible to change the default battery profile in Miui 7 to enable mobile data? I'm using the scheduler to switch between sleep and default modes and I want for data to be enabled in default mode. Should I use a custom profile instead?
Thanks!

Pretty sure you can't change the default profiles. Just put yourself on the profile closest to what you want, make a new one and modify the other settings to your liking.
Hi guys how I could set the screensaver when my device its conected to the source power and it dont have the screen saver option on screen settings ?
I have rooted my device, and instaled sqlite app and edit a database on /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/ settings.db>secure|screensavercomponents
its works but exists another way to set the screensaver in app-menu?
And how I could make my on screenSaver?
I would like to very easily, as easily as switching Android profile, hide specific apps from my phone and their notifications when at work.
Setting up a new profile on Android seems to do this, but it seems I have to manually configure every single app again, and all of my settings. Whatsapp will also not let me verify my number on both profiles.
Perhaps there is some easy way, touch of a button easy, to quickly hide the predetermined apps from my normal, main profile, and their notifications?
If multiple profiles really is the way to go, is there some way I can duplicate my main personal profile into the second, and then remove the several apps I do not want on my work profile? Perhaps something similar to a symlink could be set up from my work profile, pointing at my main profile, some how excluding the apps and settings I do not want? Further, maybe some kind of symlink would allow whatsapp to run on both profiles?
I have been searching online for a solution but not had any success. Device is rooted 7.1.1.
