Hello, I am long forum, but now I got to make my account. I installed and was able to make many phones, forumu's help. Now I have a little problem, I have a Motorola Defy with this room http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510063 and I have a problem with some sites having 256 bit protection. From what I understand I have to have 128 bit now. How can I manage to get on those sites, I've tried Opera, Dolphin Browser, and stock android browser, with no results. I received this from a friend http://nblock.org/2011/09/03/how-to-update-the-android-certificate-store/ way, but it's too complicated for me. If you know any simple way or provide me the exact steps.

I got a Verizon XV6700 Yesterday for learning how to do with WinMobile system. uhm.... that's not the point...
The phone was changed into full chinese-language mode, i even can't input any english words with out keyboard -- that must be a big trouble -- I must turn the screen first when i input english.
I really don't know how to google a WM ROM for XV6700. I even thought maybe the phone is too old to find a matched ROM. then firends told me i may try to come here and find the solution...
So the story would be continued with any of you -- Please tell me what should i do? How could i find a match rom file here?
BTW: for some reason chinese fire wall may block a mont of links. if you have a good idea, please reply this post straightly with thanks.

I've been waiting for an idea and I think I finally have one. I am going to attempt to make a Android App using Web Scraping that will allow me to navigate and use the forums on Roblox (.com if you really want to look it up) better than I can now. Hello Nick64. If I were you, I will focus on builidng an app for getting the Roblox Hair Codes and Roblox Outfits IDs automatically. I think that this can be easily done using some program languages. I am saying this since most of the Roblox forums are not working anymore while on the other side, the players are still searching for these kind of codes. Just saying.

I'm looking to make android app for this Ajax chat we have on a certain forum. The chat is MGC Chatbox Evo. Basically, I want to connect an app to the chat, like you do when you fire up a browser.
Now, my programming experience is very out of date, so I'm looking for some documentation (noob friendly if possible) on this. I've searched google all over the place, I found a couple of tips, but those aren't very understandable for someone at my level.
Here are the questions I'd like to cover:
1) In which language do I write this?
2) Using what compiler?
3) Where can I find documentation related to making something like this?
I'm a bit savvy, so if I find a way to do this in one programming language, I'll probably find a way to do it in another, but I can't. I've never made an android app before, but I'm very eager to learn, so all and any help is appreciated. Of course, if someone has time and desire, I'll gladly work with you on this and learn that way. Forum has 600,000 registered users, and you would be free to take all the credits for it.

I consider myself a rational intelligent man but I find this site insanely complex, non-intuitive,an extremely frustrating! After sleepless hours and hours and hours and hours of trying to familiarise myself with this place, this 64 year old man is sitting here in tears trying to find his last post among other simple tasks attempted. Does there not exist here, a simple starting tutorial to introduce one to the basic workings of this place? Please help.

I FINALLY found a downloadable and functional apk for this forum's app (Google Play store will not play with my device at present ... That is one of the reasons that I am here) ... and that is helping me a LOT!
Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to make it a point to strongly recommend the XDA forums app to newly arriving members here.
I TRULY think that the website UI here could use some development to make it much more new-user-friendly, however.

Maybe I am missing some kind of search filtering option, but, I do not see any value in hundreds of thousands of non-applicable and irrelevant search results when trying to find something here. Perhaps someone could direct me to such filtering options if they do, indeed, exist.

I simply HAD to tether to my PC as I simply CANNOT function on this site via my smartphone ... it is HORRENDOUS. I can't even figure out how to THANK people hardly or reply to their help ...
DAYAM ... what takes seconds here takes HOURS there ... SO MANY BUGS ... photo verification of reply to prove I am not a robot half way off the farking page ... and MANY MANY other concerns.

No I know how to tether ... but I have not been bothering even when at home. I have been so stupid til now. I was just emphasizing how much easier it is to communicate with this site from a large computer, monitor and keyboard is all.
