What is this
This is MIUI for Retail Asian/ATT phones, this rom based on MIUI patch rom for Retail China stable branch project and re-packed for retail Asian/ATT phones.
This rom solved the battery drain issue(wake lock issue) when flashing official miui on retail asian/att phones.
Modded
As the stable miui branch not support the root permission function, I used the common SU binary, this means U need to install SuperUser or SuperSu to manager the root permission if U installed this rom.
There's no other extra mods, it is a pure "official" MIUI.
If U got FC after installing this rom, please DO A WIPE DATA/CACHE
How to install
This is for retain Asian/ATT only
- U should flash this rom on an ICS stock rom(I mean, your kernel should be 3.X, and your stock rom should be ics)
- If you're on CM10, flash via cm's recovery
If you're on other roms, Install bootstrap to flash this rom
- Wipe
- install this rom
- reboot
- enjoy it
WARNING
As always, I take no responsability for damaged phones, the user has full responsability. I am not responsible for any data loss and or bricked phones.I assume the user has read this README file and knows what he is doing。

Sweet!
This is for JB 4.1.2 Asians and for 4.0.4 AT&T?
What's new in this? Have been using official miui for months..
Is it jb based or ICS?
Sent from my ME865 using Tapatalk 2
I believe this is a "fixed" version of the Official MIUI that is based on ICS from this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1914096). It should have everything the other MIUI has plus the battery fix.

So this is a working version of MIUI for MB865 AT&T?
can we use the overclock zips in this ROM ?!
Just flashed. Freaking awesome !
I was running NUMA. Removed Bootmenu, completely.
1. Flashed bootstrap as instructed on OP page.
2. Rebooted to recovery from bootstrap.
3. Reset to factory default.
4. Cleared dalvik cache.
5. Went to mounts, formatted /system. (I always do)
6. Flashed zip.
7. Added ATT APNS.
Freaking awesome.
On ATT net in California. Tested texts, and web so far. Both working
Flashed 10 minutes ago.
Gapps needed?

So what about the MIUI settings apps and stuff? Like the ones that let you edit the statusbar. Would I be able to find them apps, install them and use them properly? Or no?
EDIT: Just did a google search and can't find those apks anywhere. Anyone know where I could get the MIUI apps?
Hey guys, been messing around with apks from the GT-I9000 version of MIUI 3.4.12 and scott.hart.bi's CM10.1 to see if I can get a a pretty smooth working version of MIUI for the Infuse. Not sure how well it will turn out but for anyone interested I'll post a link when I finish. I've done a little similar with the Mytouch 3G Slide before with pretty meh results but we'll see what happens.
You have to replace more then just apks. Permissions, intd, etc
Look at bradman117 port post in android development section. That should help. If you want I can just port it for you.

Ok we have a problem
I ported it correctly.. And I flash rom then gapps and it gets stuck on miui boot screen
I boot into recovery, flash rom again and reboot. Then it starts to optimize miui apps, then continues to boot on miui screen. But just sits there. I'm thinking it's because I'm on 4.2.2 and trying to flash a 4.2.1 rom. Is anyone on a 4.2.1 rom that can test this? Or a gingerbread rom? I'll upload it

I think it should work if you're porting from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 but don't ever try to flashed that to gb it will brick your phone.
Nah it won't. There have been plenty of people that flashed jb from GB without a problem. The worst that can happen is you lose your imei and have to Odin back to stock. I actually went from gb to jb just fine without ics.
Also i found the problem in updater script

Yes that is advised because it makes sure you don't lose your imei. I recommend always flashing ics before jb. But some people are lazy lol.

The build in where?
Hello Friends, This is BRICKBEATS and I have just COOKED my first custom rom for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III 4.3 from the recently released update. This is stock WITH KNOX APPS REMOVED AND SOME VZW BLOAT REMOVED, and was supposed to have root but it doesn't seem to work at this time. THIS IS A CWM FLASHABLE ZIP AND DOES NOT FLASH THE SECURED BOOTLOADERS, MODEM, OR RPM FILES!!!! I just flashed it to my phone less than an hour ago so any bugs are unknown as of yet. I figured we could all test it out and any input is appreciated. I will get screen shots soon!!! Enjoy
edit: wifi is broken
edit 2: give a decent amount of time for that first boot, it may take a battery pull and hard reset..

Yes if you do flash this rom you can in fact revert to 4.1.2 or any version of android built for this phone for that matter. All this is doing is just installing a rom that has the 4.3 base. If you do decide to go back, just flash a rom thats built on any other version of android for this phone.
this is actually a better rom option with more functionality...

This is amazing! Although I dont own one J, as I have x920D, but this development is amazing indeed.
Keep it up buddy.
Good Job dude..Nice to see developments...Keep up the good work...
I saw BOA Official Site announced that they are releasing 4.4.2 for x920d Model within a week.
So x920d owners, get ready for KITKAT.
I have uploaded kernel and patch file for x920d. As I don't own this device, can't check wether it works or not.
If Boa is going to release KitKat ROM, that ROM maybe better than this one...

On DNA 4.2 ROM, zoe was just disabled by Java side. There should be easy way to make Zoe work.

this is a port and things are expected to be broken..why in a hurry to get KitKat when we are guaranteed to get the update in a few weeks [email protected] i do appreciate the effort but if this would have been released earlier this is a step ahead the expected OTA..the DNA guys made the port since Verizon is expected to delay the release of the KitKat OTA for DNA..if the DLXUB1 has AOSP things can be fixed..the OP is missing the sensor files at the same time IMHO we are ought to need a bootloader update..
could be a problem in my mod?

I faced exactly the same problem when I changed sku_id to KDDI one: Dialer kept crashing.
Could you try again without my mod in step 3? At least you can finish setup wizard and use, I guess. Or, just changing sku_id in /system/customize/ACC/default.xml to another one may fix the problem.
If these fixes don't work, please wait for BOA's ROM or official KitKat update...
Thank you for your reports.

I thought /system/customize/ACC/default.xml from CDMA patch would make this ROM usable. (Even if mobile network doesn't work..)

Sorry I'm not sure...
Well, even though I'm using J Butterfly on CDMA network by KDDI, I can change preferred network to GSM/UMTS or Global.
You maybe able to use GSM network after applying unmodified CDMA patch.
CDMA patch adds
Code:
system\etc\permissions\android.hardware.telephony.cdma.xml
system\priv-app\EPST.apk
system\priv-app\FieldTrial.apk
system\priv-app\HtcCdmaMccProvider.apk
And modifies
Code:
system\bin\rild
system\build.prop
system\customize\ACC\default.xml
system\etc\gps.conf
system\framework\framework-res.apk
system\lib\libhtc_rilhook.so
system\lib\libhtcflag_native.so
system\lib\libril-qc-qmi-1.so
system\lib\libril-qcril-hook-oem.so
system\lib\libril.so

TouchWiz is really ugly too. It's kind of stupid I can't just put a regular version of android on it.
