I am having an issue with my homescreen apps and folders sticking on reboot. I am not sure if it is rom related or if there is a workaround for it. I am using the latest PacMan rom 9/07 build for XT926 rooted unlocked. I haven't experienced this with any other 4.3 roms but it is frustrating to see all my apps scrambled as well as apps missing from folders I've set up on the homescreen. A visual example of what I'm referencing is attached. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I downloaded the veetle app for my inspire but all I seem to get is audio, no video at all... any suggestion how I may fix this?
I just dl it and it's working fine with mine. It sounds to me like your flash player maybe. I use flash 10.1 or 10.2. When I update to 11 i have the same prob with videos, all sound no pic. I'd try checking your flash version and change it if needed.
I had this problem many times for all flash websites. This should be stickied lol
You can download latest flash player.
Force close all browsers.
If you have root then use Root explorer or Fileexpert
1) Navigate to /data/data.
Depending on your browser navigate to
1) Dolphin -
mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer/.macromedia/Flashplayer
2) Miren - cn.miren.browser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer/.macromedia/Flashplayer
Remove all permissions for config.data file.
Flash videos should work on all websites and apps
Tried and tested
Hope this helps.
I navigate to /data but there is nothing there, no other data folder. It is completely empty. I am using fileexpert
I even tried searching for flashplayer but no file was found...

Not sure. I used CM based for a week and couldnt deal with a few issues I had that are known issues with CM based roms. Go to the CM thread and search for flash player and it will lead you in the right direction.
Zelendel, may I ask what ROM you are using currently? and any particular reason why?
Metaldood, I tried your fix with the latest flash player but unfortunately did not work for me. I got it working with the earlier version of flash player. Thanks for the effort tho.

I use my own custom senseless rom by the name of Gotham. I wanted a rom that had all the best from the OEM like the drivers for BT and WIFI (proven to get better signal strength for both WiFi and BT) but didnt want the normal sense bloat. Only thing I had from sense was the dialer and contacts. (Best dialer contact combo I have ever seen) Did have the sense 3 lock with a custom settings smali code edit to allow editing the lockscreen without having sense installed at all but removed that now that widget locker has a sense 3 lock screen. So after tonight or maybe tommaro I will remove the lockscreen, gallery and the last few sense parts that I held on to for the lockscreen.

I am not sure why it did not work. Were you able to find the config.data file?
Yes I just had to check the root explorer setting on file explorer.
I use dolphin and tried doing what you told me but it did not work for me for some reason.

Yeah, they all FC now. I've tried several things, wipes, clears, the usual suspects, but it seems they might have built something in to deliberately block the current methods for disabling their stupid lock screen.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them.
Check below. Moving the app from /data/app to /system/app seems to be the solution to this problem.
I thought the same thing cuz mine would block the default screen but it would just be blank even when I chose a picture so I looked at my version # and it had done an OTA update to 6.3

No No Lock without root?
my KF is rooted from the NFX update from 6.2.2 (which puts me at 6.3 of course); I've installed No Lock as a system app (selected in Titanium Backup, which was really just moving to the \system\app\ directory anywho), no force closing issues, seems to work quite fine
can't speak for all situations, but, theoretically, anyone rooted should not be bothered with a problem; shouldn't even have to Stay rooted

You are awesome, thank you! I had removed it, so I installed it again, and before even trying to open it I used Root Explorer to move it from /data/app to /system/app, renamed it to a friendly name (NoLock.apk), and rebooted. Works just fine now, widget included!
Can anyone tell me which Touchwiz ROM has the missed calls and message notifications on the lockscreen just like on the stock rom? I tried a few but they don't have it
While I'm not sure which ones do, I thought all TW ICS had it, none of the JB TW builds if based on VRLJ1 or VRLK1 should have it. I want to say none of the JB TW roms have it at all.

If you are talking about the notification bubbles that show missed calls and messages on the lockscreen, I have had them working on the stock rooted J1 and K1 JB TW leaks. They don't work at first. You have to go into the system/csc folder with root explorer or something similar and rename customer.xml to something else or delete it and reboot. Some people delete the CSC folder entirely but it can cause some other issues from what I have read.

I cannot find the CSC folder in the System folder
Ok you might not have it then. I think some roms have it and some don't. In that case I don't know how to get the notification bubbles to show up. I used the stock rooted k1 leak installed using mrRobinson's method in his thread in the development section. I think the instructions I gave may also work with cleanROM and Synergy.
My VZW Galaxy S3 (rooted/unlocked SCH-I535) won't show any logs. I've used alogcat, along with a couple other log viewing apps, and none of them work. They install and open fine, but don't display the logs. It's almost like they aren't looking at the right log files or something. I'm running CM10.1 and this problem has been around for some time with other versions of CM10.
I've done multiple clean re-installs of CM roms and wiped cache/dalvik + factory reset. Even with that full reset, I still can't view the logs.
Is there some trick I'm missing? Any help would be great.
Nothing...?
Has anyone ever seen anything like what I've described?

Hi, I have the same issue. Have you figured out a fix? I have an original rooted ROM, 10.1.2.
Thanks
Frostik
EDIT: I found the fix - if you convert the app to System by Tiitanium backup, it starts to work correctly Hooray.

Yes. Turns out it's a change to android in Jelly Bean so non-root apps can't access general logs. You need to have a app running with root to access them. I ended up using Logcat Extreme to do it.
Wow, logcat extreme does a great job recording the information.
Hi guys, been using this great phone.for.2 months already. Used a couple of roms in the past but returned to rooted, locked bootloader stock rom with the latest update. I just had a question is it possible to make the settings menu white witout being deodexed? Or at least without modification of system files. Please.note I do not have any sort of recovery installed. Just rooted so I can use greenify and Uninstal bloatware. I really like the white menu, been searching and only foind it in custom.roms. anyway I can do that on stock? thanks in advance. I've decided to.use.stock as I could.find lots.of.bugs.on the.custom roms. Aand.I really like the stock ui. ANY advice?
Hey mate, sorry to inform you but I think you have to deodex. However I think there is another way, I understand you prefer clean stock rom, I can't unlock my bootloader and it is indeed the fastest rom do the following, search on the themes and apps for Honami white settings and you will find a port that even has cpu control.
Go to your apps folder (use root Explorer); delete your settings and settings.odex, and now copy the files you downloaded from the port and copy them with correct permissions. Then reboot and I think you are all done. Also search for an app or way do delete your cache, including dalvik so you avoid errors. I'm thinking about doing this myself so try it and tell me if something went wrong so I can help
