If you're into custom roms I'd try to get a used GNex. It's still a good phone with an awesome community and good for another 1-2 years. Imho the community is much more important than the specs nowadays. The OMAP4460 is far away from beeing top notch but if games are not your main concern its performance is adequate. All the features you need in a package much more beautiful and handsome than the Nex 4 (The Gnex does not have inductive charging but it's easy to DIY).
If the Rom is not important or Hardware is the most important thing the 4x HD might be the best choice (but don't bet on getting JB no matter what LG is telling you ).
mmmm im really undecided ....
O4X HD has Roms too, just not as many. And its in black or white

4x hd is made by lg meaning lack of sources and it also gets late updates.
Gnex has the best rom support, but is getting outdated
and imo the xperia ion is the best choice.
its new, got nice specs, and very open source with nice prompt updates
Let get Xperia Ion or Xperia Z the same

Let get Xperia Ion, It looks nice and got good configuration. If you used to check it one time, you can decide easilly; Or you can take the Xperia Z for the same

If you intend to play around with your device a lot (Kernels, Roms, Mods), I'd say the Nexus. If you're not planning to do so, id lean more towards the Ion due to the more reliable company to this day im still iffy about LG

What is everyone's opinion on the best $100 (+/- $20) Android phone. Can be New or Used. Factor in best hardware, dev support, etc... I need a phone for my 11 yr old daughter and can only seem to come up with the Pantech Burst @ $120 new. Thoughts?
Just bought an Xperia x10 for my girlfriend off ebay for 125.00 US. Its great so far however the software update (2.3.3) has caused the camera to stop working. I installed feralab v27 fire which has fixed that. However, I now get a wifi error.
I also saw the Xperia x10 mini pro on ebay for about 90.00 US.
You should try asking here mate:

The burst is far better than those two...
Tbh, the Pantech Burst in terms of specs are probably the best you can get at that price. Its a dual core Snapdragon S4 with a gig of RAM

Best $200 Android phone
I would absolutely prefer a Nokia WP device, they are beautiful and have lots of nice software extras, but I would take any android device. 6 of the top 9 best rated phones on Moonar store are android smartphone. For this zopo c2 mtk6589 It's quad core mobile phone android 4.2 RAM 1GB ROM 32GB 5.0 inch FHD screen. Especially like this 13.0MP camera and up to 4096×3072 pixels resolution.
Well, I'm pretty happy with my ZTE v970 with custom JB ROM (Bruno), but for an 11 yo girl a well known brand with everything working out of the box is obviously a better choice. I'd probably go to a store with her, see what's available at the price range and let her choose what she likes best... looks probably count more for her than hardware
just please, dont buy a china copy of original phone, like clone of s4 or s3... it is really bad phones

Htc Desire 500 - 199€ - http://www.phonearena.com/phones/HTC-Desire-500_id8029
Can someone help me to find the best one? :victory:
Thanks so much.
Okay i just checked 3 of the phones. Nokia lumia was left out for me because as i know it doesn't run with Android and that's a no go (my opinion)
I think the best decision here is the HTC desire 500.
it's screen isn't to small and it has the best camera of them. The LG also has a big screen but it's resolution isn't that good and also it has less internal storage ...
The galaxy s3 mini is a good phone too but i think a good screen and the camera are important so i wouldn't take it ...
Moreover as i have seen (on chip.de) the desire has space for 2 sim cards which also can be very useful. All in all the HTC has the best hardware with quadcore processor, 8mp camera, 1gb ram and a good screen as well as a good software (either Android 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 -not sure).
So have fun with your decision

He's right
He's right... Undoubtedly htc... Best in quality
2-0 for htc for now... 20€ is the difference... Not so much
HTC for you...
Hello all,
As my old Xperia X8 curently rests in peace I have the chance to buy a new smartphone device. The thing is that as a college freshman my budget is as low as it gets, so the purpose of this post is that you guys, the elite of the net when it comes to smartphones, could help me choose wisely.
My goal is to find a smartphone that I can find here in my homeland (Greece to be particular) or could order from abroad, that wouldn't cost more that 130-145 € (shipping included or low enough if possible).
What I'm looking for mainly is a fast processor with good ram capacity that whouldn't let me down at multitasking, web browsing, app executing etc.To be percise, what I'm looking for is the best and fastest processor/ram combination I can find within that budget.
From there on, my preferences focus on the camera, wifi capabilities (speed and range), screen size and looks/styling with that particular order.
My manufactor preferences are Samsung and Sony of course. But if any other mobile manufactor has what I'm looking for I would be glad to take a look.
I myself have made a small research on possible devices I could buy. Unfortunately I am not a phone specialist.I'm far from it, (although I would like to get there one day hopefully) so these are some devices I came up with during a quick search at a greek online store:
http://www.skroutz.gr/c/40/kinhta-t....html?order_dir=asc&price_max=150&price_min=0
If you cannot open the link for some reason, or if you just don't wanna, the devices are:
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
Sony Xperia M
Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 (S7582)
Samsung Galaxy Core I8260
Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus 3G
All of the above are within my budget.I lean towards xperia m because from reviews i found online it seems to have the best cpu performance from those 5, it's the only xperia sooo and because I never owned a samsung before so i don't know how it would feel yet.
So please guys if you can, suggest me the best option from these 5 or a better one that you can come up with that follows those requirements I listed above.Your help is really important to me and I would be really greatful to you if you had time to devote to my silly requests.

You should definitely go for Motorola Moto G because it comes with Kitkat out of the box and Specs are truly awesome, Camera is pretty good too.. on the other hand HTC desire x is a pretty out dated phone , and 601 may be a nice choice but Moto G offers more in Less price ..
Lenovo!!!!
Quad-core power

honestly the moto g is my no1 preference but as i told you i couldn't find it cheaper than 195 euros.I found it on sites abroad but the shipping and taxes would raise the price to the same level. If anyone could advise me on how to obtain it in a cheaper price like the US and India ones that would be awesome!!!!

it's like you're asking me to spend my money for half a year of use, maximum! I'm a poor student, not a naive Richy McRich!
I personally don't think Xperia is worth it's price. It has a lot of issues with it's software from my and other people I know's experience. So... I'd recommend anything else but the Sony Xperia brand.
Based on your list, I would chose the xperia m !

I owned the g2 then I moved onto the g pro 2 (d838) as I got a fantastic deal on a new one on ebay.
The g2 is an excellent device with a fairly decent custom rom scene thanks mostly to @Cloudya but the g pro 2 has similar hardware specs with the massive bonus of a 5.9 inch screen (g2=5.2 inch) an extra 1gb of ram, a micro sd card slot, a removable battery and an improved ois on the camera.
I absolutely love my g2 pro 2 but, at the moment, the dev scene is practically non-existant. We have easy root but no custom recovery. I can't understand why this device isn't popular, It is excellent and as soon as we users flaunt this fact then perhaps people (especially developers) will buy this device and develop for it.
In saying this, on stock, this is the best device that I have ever owned and I have had many.
Agreed, I have owned a g2, loved it. this G Pro 2 is even better. All specs mentioned in above post are 1 reason why I like it more. Another is the size, I can't see my self going g2 size again. This phone is the best I've owned, and that list is long. I sold my galaxy note 3 after using this for a week.
G Pro 2! I own a nexus 5 and now got a D838. I cant start explaining how much more awsome the G Pro 2 is. The screen and the battery life are the selling points for me.

I also don't understand why LG hasn't released this flagship to Europe anyway? Luckily eBay is there to help us.
