I am experiencing a problem with watching videos via hdmi connected to my TV. I no longer get full 1080p and the image is cropped. I know this issue was fixed in an earlier CROMi firmware release. I am currently on the latest ODEX version of CROMi 5.02 rom which is running like a beast except for this hdmi issue. Is anyone experiencing this problem and is there a known fix?

This issue started when the first 4.2.1 firmware arrived and afaik was never fixed. And if it's a driver issue i don't think that sbdags can fix it easily... we should thank Asus for this, with ICS was scaling just fine but somehow they (or NVidia) managed to break it with the JB update.

Right, I currently am running prime v1.2. I installed it because I have a chinese version and they come with no google stuff. Now I also have the keyboard dock (which I heard had some issues).
Taking into consideration I have a keyboard dock that probably needs a firmware update, and that I run PRIME! v1.2 on the tab at this time, what would you recommend I do for ROM flash and would that also fix any issues there are with the dock?
PS How do I check teh firmware version of the dock itself?
Thanks!
i'm currently running the newest prime + newest netformer, i recommend it. it also comes with the dock update. there's only 1 dock firmware update, and since you're using prime 1.2, you probably already have it
to check: settings -> about tablet

So what does netformer do?
Hello everybody,
Recently I bought an HDMI cable to connect my TF101 to my TV, but the image is blurred, blinks several times and get a horrible sound quality. Is there any solution?
And what is the best ROM to use the HDMI output?
Thanks, I am waiting for the answers.
Sorry for my bad English.

I havnt used hdmi very much but i found the jellybean roms has a few issues(relating to lag) id stick with a stock based ics rom like revolver, yet your issue sounds more like port/ cable damage than software issues
I'm using 4.2.2 (see my sig) and HDMI works fine on a monitor. I haven't tried a TV nor audio, but it works fine for video as second screen.

I flash the latest TWRP, the latest TeamEOS 4.2.2 build, the latest 4.2.2 gapps, the latest KatKernel for 4.2.2 and using the latest KatApp but still the same.

Haven't tried with 4.2.2, but HDMI works perfectly with EOS3 #81 and KATKernel #69
Sound like a stuck record constantly mentioning this ROM but its the one I have 0 problems with
Plus you should try a different HDMI cable
I have not had any issues with the stock ROM using HDMI. It should just work plain & simple unless your TV is not compatible. Not all TV's will work.
I am running stock.
After 4.2.1 I have had alot of issues with bluetooth. I found a discussion post the advice was to do a factory reset. I did that process and it did not correct the issue. I then found another post that had instructions on using adb to change the permissions of a bluetooth file. That corrected the issue. However, I am still having major issues with bluetooth.
Bluetooth seems to loose connection to devices and then I have to turn it unpair/pair to get it to start again. It works then for a few minutes and dies again. This is horrible for me as I use my tablet for aviation and pull ADS-B data into it.
Not to mention root was completely screwed up in the factor reset. I used voodoo root keeper & superuser combination I had RK backup root as usual. Did a factory restore, and now root is completely messed up. No big deal. I don't use root anyways.
But this Bluetooth issue is unbearable! The only thing I can think of now is following the instructions to downgrade version (reflash) and try to upgrade again and see if the problem persists. Any ideas?

You dont need to keep a root from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1 anymore. It is possible to root 4.1.1 and 4.2.1 now so that may be your answer. Try unpairing both devices, restarting both, and pairing them again. I was having issue to but unpairing them, making sure they were not in the records of eachother, and repaired fixed it. Also, I believe if the device is a PS3 controlled, the support for it has been dropped, sadly.

Appreciate the reply. I've already tried unpairing/repairing. That's the only way to get it to work for a short time. The device is a Garmin GDL-39 ADS-B (Aviation Weather & Traffic Receiver). It worked without issues in 4.1.1.
I'm thinking about reflashing 4.2.1 and seeing if that corrects the issue. Bluetooth is acting very erratic and a factory reset did not fix it.

The device may just be acting silly, yes go and reflash the rom and see it helps. However, there is a chance it wont work at all as drivers have changed.

Didn't work so I have downgraded to 4.1.1 and seem to be working fine again. I did a google search of "4.2.1 bluetooth issues" and found a plathora of hits. Sounds like the Bluetooth stack is broken in 4.2.1 and fixed in 4.2.2.

Maybe so but it would also depend on the drivers put in by ASUS. Some people have no problems with bluetooth whatsoever but some do. Hopefully ASUS will put us on 4.2.2 in a couple months with Key Lime pie supposedly being announced/released to the world in June/July.

Highly possible. IDK. Sucks that 4.1.1 works and 4.2.1 doesn't. On my tablet, I had all kinds of Bluetooth issues when it upgraded to 4.2.1. At first I couldn't even get bluetooth to turn on, until having to the workaround mentioned on another post on here (permissions set wrong on a bluetooth library file). All this with being on a stock rom and without doing anything special (I was rooted, but never actually used any programs that required root. Just had no need.)

I understand that the latest tf700 firmware by asus suppose to fix the hdmi out issue with playing videos fullscreen. Im on the latest CROMi 4.6.4 rom which is based on the latest firmware from asus but I am still experiencing the same problem with the hdmi out. Is anyone experiencing this problem and is there a known fix?

I haven't updated CROMi-X to the latest TF700 firmware yet. That will take time as I have to rebuild everything. I'll start work on it this weekend.

Thanks for the prompt response. Look forward to your next release of CROMi. Great work!
As the title suggets, the latest verison of Netflix has not been working for me on the Asus transformer tf101. I've tried older verisons and they seem to be working but the only reason why I want the latest is because I want to use Chromecast on my tablet and it's unfortunate that a major app for the Chromecast is not working for me on the KatKiss ROM.
If anyone has overcome this issue, I have already done a factory reset and wiped the cache and dalvik but if anyone has found a better way please respond.
Anyone find a fix for this? Sorry I really want to use Netflix and chromecast with this tablet
