Today I had some free time, so I made this custom rom for Xolo q700 user. This rom is based on the latest update released from Xolo (24/7/13).I modified this rom little bit to improve the performance.

Installation:
1. Download the Xolo q700 rom to sdcard.
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Wipe the data/factory reset.
4. Format the system (mounts and storage -> format system)
5. Flash the Xolo q700 rom.

not a huge difference seems from stock rom.... only deodexing n battery icon changed... rest all things r same as stock.

i made this rom within a 3hours.So i can't able to add more features.But i will in free times.Now i have exams for three days.

i appreciate ur efforts... I know how much time consumed in a ROM development... it is not a easy job to make a new rom.... hope for a best rom (completely bug free) from ur side

xolo, mmx, lava, karbonn etc r not supposed to upgrade their devices.. they use machines rather than mind, so they develop new device for upgraded version.... its all business.... i didn't heard any of these gave any upgrade.

Further I have a question, I understand that app are getting installed in internal memory, but why data related to apps also getting saved in internal memory. In all my previous adroids though my apps used to get installed on internal memory, data used to get stored in external SD card. Can anybody please throw some light ?

In your other phones, data was stored in external SD card cause you you chose Move to SD card option.
While in Q700, your internal memory is also your storage memory.

I just check there is prerequisit of 110MBs internal memory for 500MB external SD card.... I have 32GB card... I do not the script is for me.
For next version , I would definately like to have apps to SD, !!!

That not like that.
If you repartitioned your sdcard as 2 GB EXT,then you would need around 200MB internal memory.

Introduction
This is my second ROM release on XDA. I released MIUI v5 earlier, but LeWa was the first ROM I ported. I had given it to some forum members without distributing it widely. That ROM had some issues as well. In the MIUI thread, someone asked me to release LeWa ROM, but I was very comfortable with MIUI. Hence I started a poll and was planning to release LeWa if at least 30 people wanted it. I'm not waiting for the poll to close and is releasing LeWa ROM based on Lenovo S920 (ver 13.09.06).

Installation instructions
Important: LeWa ROM needs changes in the boot.img. Hence you need a different boot.img to boot LeWa ROM. But this modified ROM is not included as a part of the ROM itself.
You need to flash modified ROM separately.
Backup everything that matters to you
Reboot into recovery (CWM)
Make nandroid backup
Wipe /data partition and /cache partition
Install ZIP from SD Card
Choose ZIP from SD Card
Flash the new ROM
Fash the Kernel (E3_LeWa_Kernel_Install.zip)
Wipe dalvik-cache
Reboot

there is option to select network type but only have effect on SIM1

Just install Google Play Store. Everything else is there.
Haven't tried deodexing. You may try it.

I haven't seen a drop or gain in battery life versus other ROMs. But much more memory is free compared to MIUI. But why to keep so much memory when it is available?

Are you unable to boot with the ROM I have provided or deodexed ROM? If you are trying my ROM, you have to flash boot.img after flashing the ROM.

Can we use this rom on qmobile noir a900 (same as gionee e3) by placing boot.img from noir a900 stock rom ??

I stuck on reboot when i enabled art on it !!!
Is it broken ???Or just because of less space in data???
Also I hve now flashed AORP !! But whenever I login to my google account it shows "google account manager stopped"
Any fix ??

1 ) change your partiton order ( 500 mb + for sd-system & 500 mb + for sd-data )
2 ) wipe both partitons using mitool
3 ) flash the gapps provided in 2nd post only ...
4 ) if u enable art it will take time for 1st boot be patient for 20 mins

n also as system is on sd ext..a bit laggy..not much..but u can notice that ..m using sandisk class 10

Its not an issue. See here u r using sd-system which on sd card as sd ext partition and twrp as well as philz recovery tend to search for su binary in system (the nand one) partition. And obviously recovery cant find it so it giving u no root issue. IGNORE IT. It may say os not install if u r doing sideloading, IGNORE THAT TOO.
Reboot, and if u cant see carbon boot logo then buddy wipe/creat sd-ext partition again.

just if the unwanted apps were removed it would be the best one till date..
downside is fps on this rom is only 46fps

I downloaded "miui_a117_javajohn_4.2.18_c8e3a6f79b_4.2" rom from miui india official site, i was running lewa5, and i did all the steps for installation as you mention.
But my phone is stuck in boot loop i think(initial micromax M! logo ). I tried it multiple time but still same.
How long does it take to boot for the first time? is there anyway to fix it? any tips about how to check what could be the issue. I don't know much about debugging and all adb stuff but i can follow steps and all.
EDIT:
i get following message will doing reset,
"no app2sd partition found. skipping of /sd-ext"
I don't know if its anything to do with that.

Check if your Downloaded package is fine, sometimes it can be the issue..
We can check it by comparing MD5 unfortunately on mega its not possible.
Another thing, do factory reset and than wipe delvink cache. Then do to mount and storage from there.
format /system
/cache
/data
There is no sd ext partition in your sd card that's why it skip that.
Install package and boot up..
I want to share a problem regarding call volume when using headphones and playing music.
It's a very critical bug, when somebody calls me while m listening to music call volume is very low, many times my mic also do not work (headphone).
Please fix it.

i assume if zip file extract properly without any CRC errors usually means file is intact and same as original.

Bro even I face bootloops after flashing this ROM then I msg @Javajohn regarding he said just replace ur stock boot.img and then flash again but I did not try it till now coz of time issue. Just try it and hopefully it will boot this time.

Yes u have to d/l the whole rom again to be on 4.2.18 now we can expect 4.2.21 from @Javajohn anytime but need to fix this boot loops for this rom first.

I wonder why problem exit in first place. I mean i'm sure it work for other people here.
Anyway, i don't understand what you mean exactly, do you mean to say replace boot.img after flashing miui with stock firmware boot.img? or replace boot.img before flashing miui if so replace with which boot.img?

I want to backup my current mobile data & setups. Some apps are in SD card & some are in the internal storage. I have installed CWM recovery. What should I do now?
Should I have to push all the apps to the internal memory then take the backup? or something else?

no need just wipe cache n flash the zip ..n press next on aroma when u r prompted !!!
i am going to try this. this doesn't seems like lewa V5?
i was trying to port lewa but got stuck all the time.

Get a new screen guard. And for memory card it depend on wat write speed u want ... Suggest u to go for class10

How to do:-
Put 1gb_cwm_a110q.zip in sd card.
Go to recovery and wipe data factory reset,wipe cache partition,format system,wipe dalvic cache.
Now go to install zip from sd and select 1gb_cwm_a110q.zip and install.
After finish update,install any new cwm flashable rom.
Now reboot after install finish.All done.Enjoy
If you facing bootloop then again go to recovery and do all steps like wipe data,wipe dalvic,format system,cache and then install new rom.It will surely work.(you will see cant mount cache in recovery,ignore that,it is one time show)
Same steps for 507MB and 880MB zip....

HOW I DID?
I EDITED EBRS WITH HEXA EDITOR WHICH WAS NOT TOO DIFFICULT AND THEN MADE CWM FLASHABLE ZIP WITH MY SCRIPT.

I think you did steps before post updated.I updated the steps.Now do the steps from start and follow each steps carefully.Every step is required
and important.
do wipe data factory,cache,dalvic cache,foramt system
install my zip
install new rom directly
it will go to bootloop
now again go to recovery,it will say cant mount cache,dont panic,its normal.
Now do wipe data factory,cahce,dalvic,format system etc again and install new rom this time it will boot.

No U just need to flash it once. Then flash any rom. U dont need to flash again while switching roms

For most roms which require system partition 880 MB is quite sufficient. If any rom requires 1GB partition, it will be specified in the OP or the instructions. If you will to revert back to original system partition, use the 507 MB one. For roms that dont require partition, 507 MB is enough.:good:

I am not sure but You can try,if something bad happens then drag your stock ebrs in zip and then follow same process to revert....
If this not worked then tell me i will create one specially for chd :good:

-Do all steps carefully.
-use cwm recovery only.
-if none of above worked then try disabling signature verification from recovery.
