Isn't it possible to include a new CSC with European languages to the official JB ROM?
I recently flashed the 4.1 JB ROM to my Tab and using English it works well, but I'd like to use it with my native language (Hungarian - Magyar).
I know there is EROBOT ROM with a multilanguage version but it has a lot of modifications I would not need. I am OK with the official firmware, I just wonder how to put my language in it. I am even thinking of extracting only the necessary parts (mainly the system apps) from the Erobot multilanguage version and making a flashable zip from them. Would it be possible? If yes, how? I am curious and ready for some work with the tablet, but not being an expert I would need guidance...
My Tab is rooted, has TWRP recovery and mobile Odin.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion, idea.
Thanks, I'll take a look at...
Yes, I know, and I would'nt mind a full reset; actually the CSC app has already been installed onto my Tab.
But the task is far more complicated than just change the CSC. I should change every app in 'System\App' folder to another version which contains the European languages in their 'resources.arsc' part...

Yes, he integrated the European languages (including Hungarian), I opened some apps and checked it.

put .zip on root of /sdcard or external card and flash with recovery.
enjoy.
tested and working on 3g gtab 7+.
I can help do this for other models/firmwares if requested, it's fairly simple. just supply your stock framework-res.apk. Not entirerly sure it will work if you are on a stock .odex'ed ROM.
I dont seem to notice the ICS transitions, maybe one of them. But they are all in there correctly with the proper intergers. I even decomplied it after flashing to make sure. The .apk built without issue, so you guys let me know if you notice them.
This is CRT - OFF animation only, to enable CRT ON would be smali facestab shot in the dark.
Thanks and enjoy!
seriously! I cant believe more people haven't jumped on this thread. Crt is my favorite animation since gingerbread on my epic. People freak out when they see it. As soon as I picked up my tab first thing I wanted to do was root it and get the crt animation on it. It would be perfect on a bigger screen like the galaxy tab. Im on a stock/ rooted wifi only p6210. Please help me get this. Even directions to do it myself would be greatly appreciate! Thanks

+ 1 I just quote you! I got CRT on all my devices and it would be amazing to have it even on my P6200 rooted but stocked odexed rom
Could you help us? Thanks
EDIT :
I just flashed *.zip the CRT works fine even in my odexed rom, I prefered it in portrail animation instead of landscape one.
Issues of theme : it has partially changed my language and there is NO WAY to reset it into my own. Anyway theme is the same (Honeycomb) nothing has changed
Sent from my GT-P6200 using xda premium
not sure to begin with that one. Try wiping dalvik-cache, in recovery if you have CWM if not you can manually delete it with root/file explorer.
Theme is meant for De-Odexed.
Already did man, it was the 1st thing I did but nothing has changed. Language pack is f**ked up.
I knew about theme I was only testing there are no de odexed rom for my P6200
Sent from my GT-P6200 using xda premium
best suggestions are factory reset or try fixing permissions in CWM recovery ( if you have it )
make sure to wipe /cache also.
have you tried selecting another language, apply; then reselect your language (Italian I'm assuming?). Worth a shot.
This was also done a while back. DXKL1
Try my Deodexed DXKL3 if you havent already. Then flash my ICS Theme has all this and more!!

I thank you Chris, by the way I already fixed permissions (I'm not a newbie in Android ) and I even wiped cache (yes I have CWM). I don't need to perform a factory (at least 'till there'll be avaible a real custom ROM) and the real issue is that I don't even got my language (yes italian ) to choose in "Language Menu"
You're right, thread is quite old (I have KL7). I saw deodexed roms in dev section but not for the P6200 Gonna find yours

There would be no problem with the CRT but personally I don't know if anything changes from 3G to WiFi only version.
I guess there should be only differents in build.prop under networks but, just to be 100% sure, you could share your framework-res.apk (as he said).

Hey guys
Current custom ROMs that are built on pure android firmware lack some important applications that are originally supported in i9003. So, I preferred to open this topic to discuss all features of i9003 that come pre installed in stock ROMs by Samsung.
So, I think these custom ROMs shall have:
1- FM Radio app.
2- SamsungApps.
3- Swype keyboard.
4- MyFiles.
5- "Write and go" and "Memo" apps.
Please mention other needed apps.
Thank you
They are removed for a reason . Most of the users dont like samsung bloatware (as its call it) . And ive personally have never used those mentioned by you. But you can use Root explorer anytime to push the apk's to system/app and use them.
Cheers !!
Yeah I know that fact
But do apps of the gingerbread version work fine on ICS? I did already extract them, but unfortunately, no ICS to test them
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA
BTW, I do really extensively use them, especially swype, but maybe one can install swype from extracted apk.
Thanks.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA
Swype
I am all for Swype to be pre-installed in custom apps.
Swype is removed from most of the custom roms because of its large size that is 12 mb and it covers unnecessary space and most of the users did not want samsung apps thats why they are removed and if you want all these then use stock rom instead of custom rom and fm radio is present in most of the custom roms
12 MB is large size?? Anyways, although one can install swype beta from swype[dot]com, it is still preferred to integrate the one came with original i9003, as I think it is optimized, and is well localized, especially right to left languages. I love the "Go Keyboard" app, but still, current version has problems in T9.
Well, thank you for your assistance anyway

Hello everyone, I hope I have posted in the right section, I have to ask you a question that despite several hours of trial and research remains to me: I was going to download the firmware official google nexus 7 and take the apk that interest me, and install them on the samsung tablet 7plus.
I downloaded the version both deodexed and odexed of the google nexus 7 and I extracted, for example, the contacts.apk DEODEXED from it.Installing the apk android ics stock tells me: error with the analysis of the packet. I also tested with version odexed putting the apk file and the odex file into the folder system / apps but also restarting did not work ...
1) it's possible what I want and for example it's possible to install another launcher (ex. launcher.apk stolen from google nexus 7 stock deodexed) like a normal apk and use it just pressing home button and selecting it instead of touchwiz launcher?
2) if yes can you explain me the procedure?
3) do you know where I can find the backgrounds stock once downloaded any ROM (which gives me the compacted system folder plus other img etc etc?
Thank you in advance .... sorry for my english, i hope you have understood my intention : I'm going to have both (one of the touchwiz and one of the stock nexus 7) or replace the contacts application and launcher with those of the google nexus 7
See you soon, Andrea

Ok, i'm running 4.04 android ICS and the nexus 7 is 4.1 jelly bean... i'll try with an ICS version, but are you sure that the only problem is the difference of versions of firmware?
I think that's what causing the problem, I get the same problem when I take a 4.0 apk and try to use it on my 2.3 phone. It just isn't compatible with the system

Also you have to make sure your running the proper version of the OS. An AOSP ROM apk will not work on a non AOSP rom

now I have no IMEI And unknown version of the BB which is known.
Previous version of the BB was V10H

or search forum for other solutions
Broken link- LG official firmware android version v2.2.2 build v10E created by VIjayKumar
Which files here I need to use?
(I sent you the link in a private message)
Before that I had a BB V10H
the Version of the phone is p500h (Write behind the battery)
this phone is Israeli.
Burned the version V10H suitable handler, the device works fine.
Is there a Rom that match the version V10H?
You can flash any custom rom made for p506 or p509 directly as they are still on old baseband which is same as your current baseband. You can also flash any p500 & p505 rom (which is new bb), and then flash the file 'old bb fix' which will make the rom compatible with your radio (baseband). In short - all roms.....(just keep in mind - cm7.2 roms are old bb roms developed before stock gb was available from LG ) .happy flashing.

I'd be happy to recommend rum for me without changing the BB.
Something that looks as version 4 of Android.
I have the version of the P500H
Thank you!
Go to rashed's thread in original development section & try any rom of p506 or p509. They will be compatible for your baseband. BTW which recovery are u using? Keep a nandroid backup of your current rom which u can revert to, just in case.

the problem is that custom roms are great and offer more performance(one thing that our phone lucks) I personaly use an ICS rom, but you now, by rooting your phone, have the freedom to experiment what might be suitable for you, but I recomand to use ICS or JB roms, read treads and posts, look for what you would expect from that rom to have/do and to be for daily use, anyway from my experience every custom rom would not last too much in your phone, they are too many and too great not to experiment them(and after some time they must be reflashed anyway)
so, have fun
This version is perfect(P509) -

TNX!
For google apps download the mini gapps from 1st page of your rom link and flash from recovery. Regarding hebrew font you can check Anysoft keyboard and its hebrew language pack.

Actually, P506 has a different touch screen so the drivers are different. P509 is identical to the P500 in every aspect except for the fact that it is always old baseband.
About Hebrew, it does not work.
It will not change the system language but will allow you to send & read messages and browse in hebrew after you enable in anysoft keyboard. Did you download the hebrew language pack?

Yes, but it does not work, is there a possibility to add Hebrew to?, Is there a Rom that has Hebrew and ICS or JB.

I am interested in flashing my Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G to the CyanogenMod 10.0 rom.
Can anyone please advise if this rom support Chinese language? I would like for all the text to be Chinese, including keyboard text, settings text and GUI text.
If CM 10.0 does not support Chinese, can you recommend a stable rom that does?
Some background info. I currently have the stock rom that came with the phone (ICS 4.0.4) and the phone is already rooted. If anyone know how to get Chinese language on ICS 4.0.4, please share because I have searched all over the internet and found nothing.
Thanks in advance.
anyone?...
I am running a version of cm-10.2 (DU to be exact) and I was able to change all the text into Chinese. I think I was getting some force close errors but I don't really know exactly (because I can't read it lol) so you may have to fiddle with it. Should be the same on cm-10. As for the keyboard, it depends on which one you use but I believe most have Chinese support.

Doesn't miui support Chinese natively?

I installed CM 10.0 and confirmed I was able to get the entire GUI to use Chinese text. The keyboard was still English but I just installed a Chinese keyboard app to remedy that. There's one called Google Pinyin Input and that works great.
