I know when I visit my mom, she has a few outlets that will not charge my phone. If it's the same outlet, maybe try a different cord or charger. Some cheaper USB cords just do not work on this phone.

1000ma out
Thank you.

Doesn't actually matter anyway. I use a 5v 1200mah Nokia one quite often. The phone will only draw the amps it needs. It's quite possible that it's capable of using the full 1200 and charges faster.
My stock g2x charger was 700mah.. But my hd2 charger (the one that I'm still using cause of its folding breakaway design) its 1000mah.

I bought a 2-amp car charger to make sure I'm getting as rapid a charge as possible when I'm driving.

Would it be possible to have a double ended micro USB cable that could plug into to phones and have an apple that could determine which phone got charged? Since phones can stop themselves charging ect could they give the current out?

From what I have seen, the usb ports on phones don't provide power, they are used strictly for data, and charging the device itself, not other devices.
So there's no possible way it could do this? I just think it would be a really useful thing to have

This video shows the phone wasn't charging when it was unplugged
What's the point of having to plug in the wireless orb, isn't it supposed to be wireless
Just confused here

How else you going to get power from the wall?
It charges the phone without wires thus a wireless charger....

Not sure if serious.
It runs on 4 AA batteries. They charge the phone for an hour and then need to be changed.

Best thread ever.
My girlfriend says her One S won't charge. Any idea as to what the problem could be?

Faulty AC adaptor, bricked phone, faulty microUSB cable

It could be the power adapter I guess. She says she can charge it at work. It can't be a bricked phone because it's on.

Yeah, I'd just try a different adapter. I've had this issue where an adapter will work for one phone and not another.
So if I use the original usb cable that came with the device my phone will charge in about 3 or 4 hours. But if i use any after market usb cables it takes 5 to 6 hours I'm trying find our what is the difference between the two cables. Keep in mind I'm using the same oem charger with both cables.

Your stock charger is 2 amps the ones you are using are most likely 1 amp. You need to find other ones that are 2 amps also.
No I'm using the white 2 amp charger. I have narrowed it down to the cable I'm trying to see if there is something diffrent.

Yeah I just read it again my bad. Is the non oem cable skinnier?
Yeah I'm contacting samsung right now trying to understand exactly what makes there usb cable tick. So far all I got is its the next generation of cable.

Charge only cables vs Charge and data cables. Has been thoroughly discussed in the forums. Go buy a charge only cable and you will see the fastest charging. Just don't try to use it for data. Guage of wires also has a lot to do with how much current can be carried.
