Hello respected Developers ,
Jelly Bean is released today with some new and important features. Nexus ROM is already available for download. Since Jelly Bean brings updated UI and few new features only it may be possible to port Nexus ROM.
Kindly consider its possibility and reply
Thank you all !

Hmm...so I was right. It can be ported.
Jelly Bean ported to HTC One X http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737736
I hope so.
I'm not a Developer, but I hope so :good:
nothing will be done until the source code is released (google said mid july)
Guys, chill. It is best we wait until ics is fully developed with the kernel 3.x before we talk about this. I am sure that this needs ICS as base. I have been researching about this jellybean update the whole day. it is somewhat a small update to the ICS with automatic widget resizing, GoogleVoice (commandable just like siri) and also less lag... this is just like a froyo to gingerbread update as they said in vid reviews.
now our future is on the 3.X kernel:good:
Hi
Did anyone noticed that kernel for jelly bean port on HTC one x.
It is 2.6.xxx

No, but I am
Thread moved and cleaned. Development section is only for roms/kernels, etc. being worked on with some kind of bootable image. This is not. (First hint was the title ends in a question mark)
Keep it polite guys.

Thanks Jay
And apologies for posting in wrong section. Everyday we learn something new
Thanks !
Maybe...
I'm not a developer and i don't know how to port a ROM. However, I think porting an I9000 Jellybean Rom will be easier since I9000 and I9003 has similar specs.

i9003 will follow, once kernel 3.0 + ics is completely ported and good for day-to-day basis ^^
Everytime it happens that when we work on perticular version of cynogenmod then suddenly new version of galaxy device releases or new version of android releases then current development looks old to us. So we leave it in incomplete stage & we move forward to achieve new things of new cynogenmod but again everytime same story repeats & thats why we have so many incomplete cyanogenmod roms.
I want to suggest that if the developers are working on ICS cm9 then they must work on first to achieve kernel 3.0 & get stable cm9. People now should not rush to achieve JB leaving behing cm9 work incomplete. "One time one task"

Source code of jelly bean is of no use for us until we get kernel 3.0. Because building jelly bean rom or cm10 based on 2.x kernel is again a waste of time & again one more incomplete rom

You're right on that one bro.
Regarding porting Jelly Bean, it's another challenge for our great developers. And it is possible since it has already started coming on many devices. Another point is that JB does not introduce System level changes like ICS but a major update over it. So JB should easier than ICS.
Regarding Incomplete ROMs, each and every developer has his own set of skills and can't do what other can do and we must respect this. What dhiru can do is not necessarily doable by others too. But this should not come as deterrent for some quality work like MIUI and AOKP. If we would have kept waiting for 'Perfect and Complete' ICS then we would never have these great ROMs. These guys are working within known limitations and doing a great job. So i would always encourage new challenges, innovations, ideas, development and ROMs. We again might have many things not working on JB Ports but that's what fuel the developers to take up challenge and win it. Remember the first ICS and MIUI Ports ? And look today Thankfully Lolation, Frank, UT36104, Vurrut did not get discouraged by current limitations and went on to port these great ROMs and fix bugs. Thank You guys
Take every new thing as a challenge and give your best with whatever you have in hand instead of crying of what's not there or what will come someday
Good Day guys

I completely agree. People learn by doing hands on, and what I mean is building roms. Discouraging them just because you want them to complete a rom is very selfish, everybody has to start somewhere. Not everybody has sufficient knowledge in android programming to help with completing roms, i believe people feel a sense of accomplishment after building their first rom, only to be struck down by others that want a complete rom. I just want to say guys, don't discourage new roms please, think about other people's feelings. Thanks.
Cheers

Its not about discouraging new rom development. Its about how well we concentrate on each thing to complete it. I am not saying that we should stuck to only one perticular rom development. But remember guys that google will not take a pause for us so that we can complete current cynogenmod rom. New versions of android will contineously come out by google but we must have to think whether we should run behind new roms or should we first build a base kernel 3.x without which every future development will remain incomplete...???
Really frustrated today about the MMX A110. Why?
The other devices such as xperia mini , lww (single cores) are already on 4.2.2 and bugless and are on their way to 4.3( cm10.2 based and already the base is compiled and rom will be out in 1-2 weeks) while our device with better specification is lagging behind.
We are just cooking roms. And by that i mean just roms. Well the device has come long way from the stock but if u think about it, nothing diffrent from 4.1.1 base of mmx. We r just creating roms but there is no developer here. Neither cm10, cm10.1 , or pacman , aokp roms r available and no one is creating it too due to lack of developers and sources.
Whats the point?
Will we even have jb 4.1.2? and 4.2.1 is a lot of distance to be covered while others already are on their way to 4.3
will mmx ever release the kernal sources for A110? Really really doubting it now.
What has become of the petition we all signed?should we create a new one now?or will it be ever adressed?
These r things developers need to think(i know u think) before releasing a rom becoz just ports and themes arent going to release the beast in our device and scripts have limitation too
Pls comment on what u think and anyways for progress that is.

I think MMX also don't have source code of his phones..
Thinking
So what should we do? Anyone?
If source code is not with mmx or even if present is not released then our device will not go any further than 4.1
should i start another petition for requesting mmx to either open source A110 or release 4.3 directly(becoz a new base is all we need but after that we will stop again somehow or other)
any ideas or plans are really appreciated
if u r reading this then dont sit idle but comment so that we can know what u all want and what we should do too
No one thinking
So as i have seen, no one is thinking about this then the last option to say this is
I will move on from this device in 2014 if no cm or pac man or 4.2 or kernal source codes are not released, which for the time being is impossible.
CM10.1 is left at start by varun
pacman is no started by anyone
4.2 is not being released officially for our device
kernal sources are not present with mmx becoz its just a rebranded phone so no use of the petition
but we have miui and lewa which still based on 4.1
conclusion-just cooking roms but not much development.
So how is this an active dev community?
What r we actually doing for progress?

Less than a month and there's a prototype about CyanogenMod for Xperia M2 Eagle (D2303). But, it's only on Alpha, still too much way to go.
Personally I hope that they fix everything and works fine for go to D2302, D2305 and Eagle Rex (D2306) devices soon.
Either way, great job 'til now!
Guys, it's stated RIL (Mobile Network) is not working in main post. If that, or any other bug presents a problem for you, don't use this build, keep waiting, all, or atleast most of bugs will be squashed soon.
Dual SIM support comes after all bugs listed in 1st post of a thread are fixed.
Does this ROM work on the D2306 model of the Xperia M2 or no?
Lol
Make it official duh :silly:?, cause cm 11.2 will be easier to compile and create whit more devs :highfive:,
one more thing, bring back the original style of xperia roms :good:

Not full. Everything goes fine in Xperia M2 Eagle Rex (D2306) using this CyanogenMod. But, the basebands used on networks connections are differents and there's a problem to solve. That's the only difference between two devices, just the band they use.
So, we must wait for a Xperia M2 Eagle Rex CyanogenMod with the basebands directed to our devices.
I don't even know if using that CyanogenMod will brick your phone, but, I don't think so D:.
Regards
Now this will be an interesting development. Probably it would take some months for a relatively stable and functional build to come out. This based on experience with my previous device.
I hope CM 11 for M2 would be out in time, before 5.0 Lollipop gets the CM treatment.
You can speed things up by helping developers and posting logs of current build. This is based on experience with my previous device.

That's correct. As far as I'm concerned about dual sim support there is a script which will look for a model number and according to that load a RIL driver for SS or DS.

Welp, Sony's BT drivers suck. That, or the M2 sucks. I'm getting audio skips with my BT headset, just like I do on the stock ROM (and 4.4 is worse than the 4.3 one). Same files played back via headphone out have no skips. The same headphone doesn't have any troubles on the old Xperia Arc and Nexus 7 2013, so it's definitely the M2 at fault here.
Edit: Actually, it's _much_ worse with CM. I'm getting audio skips every 10 seconds, while it's about 1 per minute on official 4.4.2 and about 1 per 30 min on official 4.3... are there any settings you can change with respect to A2DP audio buffers or similar?

Hello everybody, I know it's against the rules to compares ROMS and say which is best but what I want to ask you is what do you think would suit the following characteristics:
Smooth and faster than stock (all of them are but you get it)
Clean and lightweight but with cool basic features
Bugs fixed (very important, the less bugs the better)
I am looking forward to android L but I heard about the storage problems and I just want to wait until it gets "Stabler". I appreciate every developers work (olivier, varun, devious fusion... ) but I'm sure you guys have your own opinions about which one suits your needs. I just want something that I can use daily without bugs. Also a rom that doesn't have the microphone problems?
I read another thread in which paranoid android was recommended and I kinda liked it, do you recommend it?
I liked it's features but I was afraid it might slow the system down... Also what's the best (again less buggy and more updated) cyanogen version? Is varun working with free xperia? I have plenty of questions because only now I though about unlocking the bootloader...

Hi,
My advice would be to try out all ROMs and pick which suits best for you. Everyone has different taste.
I personally liked Liquid smooth with thunderzap 4.7.
Regarding Cyanogen latest version (experimental RIL version by Varun is stable. Link : https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=taoshan).
As far as I know Varun is busy with CM12 bring up on various devices and fortunately he is supporting our device :victory:
If you have questions regarding how to unlock bootloader and flash kernel/Rom please check guide in Android development section here before asking questions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/guide-installing-kernels-roms-xperia-l-t2548498
Hit "Thanks" if I helped.
Thanks!
Right now I know I'll be flashing thunderzap because it looks awesome
But I'm really in doubt about paranoid android or cyanogen mod.
The thing I like about cyanogen mod is that it is really clean. In other words, the developer starts everything from scratch being able to only code the essential things. I really like that in a rom. no portings or copy pasting with old sources, but again, paranoid android developer also says that he built everything from scratch. So they are both awesome. I think I'll pm devious fusion about what bugs he has knowledge in his latest build.
I have bootloader unlock not allowed but I think I know someone that can get the job done (if I'm successful I'll make a thread about it) that's why I'm not testing already. I really hope varun fixes everything in cm12 he is a great developer!
By the way which should I choose, free xperia or varun cyanogen11? Is varun working on cyanogen12?
Maybe free xperia is more updated

Free xperia (FXP) will be updated every week with upstream changes.
But it may or may not be stable.
Cyanogenmod 11 by Varun is stable version. So I would prefer Cm11.
CM12 is already out but has some minor bugs. Depends upon your usage, it may be good as daily driver.
Go for repexpersis rom
Full z3 experience
It is flashed over fxp
Go to android development section
