Hi all I've been researching on my own but I'm having trouble figuring out exactly how to use a VPN to connect my GS3 to my home network so I can watch TV with the app even while I'm not on the home network which the app requires. Any ideas?
First of all i neet to know, what you have tried and some more infos about your configuration.
Do you use a DDNS-service? What kind of router do you use? What kind of sharing do your Files use? FTP? Samba? UPnP? Where are your files located? (NAS? Windows-PC? etc...)

Are there any software that allows me to share WIFI internet? I'm having trouble with my pc WIFI... I'm currently using "internet sharing", but it only allows me to share WAP....

I just read the cleanfire thread, but isnt it same as internet sharing except it allows to share dial-up connection via WIFI? different from what I want to do... I want to share my WIFI internet connection via USB.

sort of... to give a back ground info, my university uses somesort of software to check if my pc is updated, but because I'm using work pc, the software gives me an error message.... Pocket PC can bypass the software check, so, I'm wondering if there is a cab that allows me to go on internet through ppc so that I don't get the stupid update check.

I think you should share the connection of Internet to the Wifi network interface on your PC, not on your PDA.

I created an ad-hoc network with my pc,my laptop and iphone can both detect and connect to share the internet.However,my G1 can't.Does some1 know how to set my G1 detecting this network,or some useful apps?

if you're rooted - yes. wpa_supplicant supports ad-hoc. If you're not interested in learning how to config the .conf file yourself look on the market for an app called WiFiHelper
So i need an app with which i will be able to easily control my pc via my htc diamond(i need this for 3g and wifi)
is there any app that can do this..it will be good that it is simple to configure?

you can use remotedektop normally installed on every rom.
On Pc you have to allow Port 3389 in the firewallsettings and a user belonging to remotedesktopuser-group.
Using Wlan both devices have to be in the same ip-range (normally distributed by a router), i.e 192.168.2.x and 192.168.2.y. Then you can use it by naming the target computer in the rdp-tool. (if it doesn´t work, use the target-ip)
Using 3g you should have a static ip-address or your router should have the ability to communicate with i.e. DynDNS. In the configurationtools of the router you map Port 3389 to the target computer which should have a static, internal ip.
Edit: RDP-user must have a password, administrator-user is always allowed to use RDP.

Sent from my GT-P5113 using xup vpn? I know and have set up a vpn connection with my work network ( i created the vpn im connecting to and know all the credentials). What appears is when i create the vpn its to only access internet while using the vpn network. I and my company have files autocad and ms office fikes, that i would like to access on my tab.can anyone provide insight to this would be very helpful and would be a selling poeint for the tab.
