[Q] Can Wifi get affected, if you don't wipe Dalvik Cache - General Questions and Answers

I have flashed a CM 10.1 ROM on my Galaxy S advance. I am using CWM 6, I diid wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache, and installed ZIP from SDcard and installed Gapps for 4.2.2 and then rebooted. WIFI is not listing the networks and I have to add my AP settings manually.
Does this behavior is attributed to not wiping Dalvik Cache.. ?

Wipe and format SD card, cache and dalvik, make sure you are flashing the correct ROM for your phone, wipe dalvik and cache between any additional flash, like gapps, kernel.. Ect.. And you should be good

Try
WIPE Cache + WIPE Dalvik + FULL WIPE(WIPE DATA + FORMAT /system + FORMAT /boot)
Then INSTALL the ROM
Then INSTALL the GAPPS
Then WIPE Cache + WIPE Dalvik
Goodluck!

Wiping Cache Partition

I accidentally installed a cyanogenmod zip without wiping the cache partition first, right now I am still on cwm recovery. I HAVE already wiped the data.
Should I wipe it now? Should I wipe data and then restart the process?
Any help would be appreciated.
You should be alright, the /cache partition on this phone doesn't hold too much important stuff. Just to be safe, reflash the CM zip, and wipe the cache and data. You will lose all of your apps and settings, but not wiping data usually causes problems when flashing different ROMs.

Please do a Factory Reset in TWRP and then select Dalvik Cache as one to be wiped from Wipe menu.

Yupp. Even in stock recovery was the option to wipe only the cache. Weird... Is there any other way to wipe the cache?
Btw, I pulled up an issue request on GitHub. https://github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Recovery-Project/issues/1254

I think it's relevant with that slot a/b thing(?)
how about in the unofficial of twrp?
you have to use stock boot.img and wipe cache in recovery.
after a ROM update go into recovery and wipe cache before installing TWRP / Kernel / Magisk
otherwise no way.
