It's not, other than the back plate having the androids on it. Everything else is the same phone as the rest.

Agreed, $300 premium for some android decals on the backplate is insanity, imho.
Hey, check your Settings/About screen and let me know what version of the kernel your phone came with.
I'm curious if the fact that it's an "employee edition" phone means you get the "debug" kernel....

When do you think the nexus prime will become cheap. Many Android devices gets cheaper after 2 months...so when will the next nexus be around $400?

Retail price? That wont drop for a long long time if ever. Subsidized will eventually drop but even then this phone will be top of the pack for a while and wont drop in price until higher end phones are released or sales are slow.

I could care less if there is an "official release" of ICS for the ns4g. I know I will have it on my phone. Thank you XDA.

I'm pretty sure retail price won't go down that quick especially seeing how the Nexus S held its own for a while. Price will probably be a good factor against the iPhone 4S though...

Higher end phones have been released the HTC one x, Samsung quad core galaxy $3 (international as USA gets duel core cause of late) so yes their are better phones then nexus.

Have some hope, many people who bought when it said 4-5 weeks have had their order shipped already. I'm not saying it's going to happen, just a possibility.

That would be great, I'm never that lucky, I'm enjoying the nexus 5 port for now.

Has anyone found a volume fix?

Has anyone found a fix for the wired volume? It is terrible. I come from a HTC One and never really used my Nexus until recently. It just terrible. Power Amp can't help it. I use Beat Studios 2.0 and it just sounds really meh.

Pretty much this. The HTC One has vastly superior sound and it's the one thing I miss about it. The Nexus has one downward-facing speaker as opposed to 2 front-facing speakers so it's always going to be rubbish in comparison

Do a search there are about 3-5 threads on this with downloads. Why beats seems to be the end all be all is beyond me.
