Is there any way to hide albums in the gallery? I'm not rooted, thanks.

Install Quickpic and press/hold the folder you want to hide from gallery. It will place a .nomedia file in that folder, causing it to hide from every media scanner dependent app, such as gallery.

Or something to lock the current photo app?
Thanks.
I just saw two in the market...sexting vault was one I think. Can't remember the other.
PhotoVault works good. You can hide individual pics, they wont show up in your stock gallery. Have to sign in w/ a password in the app to see the blocked pics....
I recommend photovault "sextingvault" just sounds suspicious. Its the same app. But better name.

The Easy way to hide photos is to mount the sdcard to your computer or use Astro or EStrongs File Explorer and just move all the photos you want hidden to another folder on the sdcard and name the folder .Whatever
Just put a Period . in front of the folder name and the Gallery app will not look for photo's in that folder so it hides them.
All you have to do is navigate to the folder with Astro etc and then view the photos from there.
This is how i hide photo's as most people are not going to go using a file explorer to go find photo's

The absolute easiest and probably best gallery app available is quickpic. It has just what you are looking for.
You can also make any folder hidden by adding * before the folder name.

Audio Manager (Hide it pro). Its awesome! It hides pictures, apps, music, and it even locks any apps you want. Best part, is that the app disguises itself as a volume controller app. Check it out.

download an app called gallery excluder from the play store
it gives you the ability to choose which folders to exclude/view in the gallery app
Put a .nomedia file in a folder to prevent it from beeing scanned

Thanks, just found the folder in internal SD Strange doest show in gallery
I have tried the .nomedia approach (putting a .nomedia file in all the folders I want to exclude).
It works hiding all the existing pictures, but once you have new picture downloaded from browser or sent through whatsapp, it will still show up...
Kinda annoying.
Using quickpic atm but dont really like it...
help!!!
Download quick pic from the play store, from there you can hide albums or single pictures by holding down on them.

As the title says, I'm looking for an automatic wallpaper changer app. Must have the usual stuff; time presets, pointing to custom folder, etc.
But the most important part, also the reason why I've resorted to asking here after spending countless hours at the play store, is an app that allows me to customize each photo's alignment. My photos are mostly out of alignment whenever I use the more popular wallpaper apps out there. So I'm looking for one which allows me to preset the view for each photo before I let the program run.
Anyone with a suggestion?

Wallpaper Changer has those features. I've been using it for a long time and have had zero issues with it.

Anybody has the wRotatr apk? Every file out there is just malware, and the play store does not support it anymore.

I thought this app use to be a lot better. Older versions allowed you to create folders, then use a file explorer to manually add pictures from different folders. Now you can only select pictures using the gallery. I liked the file manager method

Maybe we're using 2 different apps. When I click on "add image" I don't see any option for adding images to my folder using ES File Explorer which is what I use.
All I see is gallery and photos

That's what I see too. The file explorer comes up when adding a folder so I see your point now.

I'm using muzei with local files for this purpose. If you don't like the blur & dim effect you can disable it!
Edit : didn't see you want to change the alignment, sorry !
Hello guys,
Coming from LG V10, I would go into my gallery and select any picture or video then select lock option and have them secured by my PIN/fingerprint. The only way to see them is to put in the PIN/password then view at that moment. Even if the memory is accessed using file manager of windows explorer, the files will be encrypted and wont open.
Is there anyway I can do that on the Mate 9 without 3rd party apps?
Thanks.
Yes there is. Use files app and there create you safe folder

I use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.diune.pictures app, it contains a option to create hidden folder with pasword.
