Is the reinvented zoom of 1020 only limited for the device. I mean, can we zoom for those details when we transfer the image on the desktop.
I am not able to find any high resolution images clicked by a 1020 on the web.
If it is possible, then please provide a link to that image. Any help will be appreciated.
The image automatically transferred is on 5MP
In order to get the image that you are cropping and zooming you need to manually copy the hi res image

Hi all
I have a xda exec, and when I use internet explorer all the image seems blury. Is that just me or a common issue with VGA pdas? thank you
It's normal, since IE on a VGA device doesn't work in True VGA mode, i.e. the pictures are forced to expand over its dimensions. For example, a 100px x 200px photo will be forced to display at 200px x 400px in order to compensate the higher resolution of the screen, which is why the pictures look blurred.
I kinda figured that.... So is there any software or ways to solve this?
Try OzVga, it's free and lets you switch between real VGA and the standard mode.
I remember seeing a special camera app over on the other One X forum that set the JPEG compression to 0 and increased the video to 20mbps. The app has since been pulled because it was too buggy. We couldn't have flashed it anyway because you need cwm.
It got me thinking about something like that on our One X. Would it be as easy as changing a buried config file somewhere? Or would it require a whole new app? I'd love to be able to take some uncompressed, or less compressed pictures and really show off the camera's capabilities.

thinking the same thing - I know they are compressing the hell out of the pictures as 1.5MB images from an 8mp camera is too small. I would at least have liked the option of choosing my compression levels.
i am very interesting with this phone. I've plan to buy this phone because of the great and huge camera. because of lack of application in wp8 for editing picture, i want to edit the picture in my android device. can I share the full resolution picture with bluetooth?? or it send the 5 mp picture instead of 38 mp??
thank you!!!!
:fingers-crossed:
At the moment it just upload the 5mp version... To get the other one you'll have to cannect the phone to a PC.
Hello, this is my first post.
I recently purchased a second hand 1020. It is running Windows mobile 8.1 and Denim software.
The camera takes great 5Mp pictures. I use Lumia Camera app for the photos. It has the option of setting which high resolution format to save - .jpg or .dng.
The feature of re-framing by using the high res photo is great. I have read about this feature in numerous references. However, I have never read that this feature only works using the high res .jpg files. In settings of Lumia Camera, it states that "Reframing in digital negative (DNG) mode uses the low-resolution photo". I have tested this and the statement is correct.
The high resolution .dng photos are not uploaded automatically to Onedrive, they cannot be used for reframing, they cannot be viewed. The only thing that can be done with these is to manually copy them to a PC and manipulate them in Photoshop or similar software. The main advantage - reframing is not possible.
What is the point of saving to .dng?
Am I missing something here?
By the way the high resolution .jpg is not uploaded automatically either. Is there a special setting for this? I have "Best quality" set in Onedrive setting already.
Thanks
I use BTSYNC to backup automatically high resolution photos of my phone without using the usb port. It works Great and it is really fast.

I have used bluetooth manually - it's much slower than USB of wifi. Maybe it's my computers.
I don't know how to set up automatic bluetooth upload of high res photos.
This doesn't explain what use is a .dng file on the phone.
Thanks
