Only if you have obtained the device-specific blob files with the Androidroot bootloader before.

The whole motherboard. Maybe try finding a device with broken display on ebay.

Relock bootloader

I found the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2597856
But the link is broken. Anyone else have the files or the source? I have to send mine back due to a defective earphone speaker. BL makes no difference in the EU, but I want to skip the arguments I'm sure they'll try.
RGDS
EDIT: Fixed. Tried the fastboot commands and it worked.

Excellent, thank you. At least it will now work for others.
a quick basic question
When you unlock the bootloader, don't they keep record of your device ID that it was unlocked? And your warranty automatically voids? I'm just wondering? Were you able to relock it? Did you send it to the service centre and got it repaired?

They'll know from the bootloader, it has a flag showing that it has been previously unlocked.
What do you mean by this?

According to EU Directive 1999/44/CE there is a statutory warranty on all electronics in the EU.
The only way to void it is if the manufacturer/seller can irrefutably prove that the user caused the defect. And the burden of proof is on them, not you.
There is an excellent explanation here: http://fsfe.org/freesoftware/legal/flashingdevices.en.html

Apparently the Moto G has three BL states. Locked, Unlocked and relocked. However relocked gives a "Locked - Status Code 2" flag. So unless you're sending it to a Motorola repair centre, they wont notice the difference.

[SOLVED] Locking bootloader

I'm selling my TF300T to a second hand shop, but I want to lock the bootloader as I think they will refuse the device with the "This device is unlocked" text.
THE DEVICE WORKS FINE. I'm not trying to trick anyone into purchasing a broken device. I know there are hundreds of post like this, but none of them actually tell you how to or if it's even possible to lock the bootloader.
Thanks,
Daniel

Cannot be done once unlocked, all Transformer tablets are unlocked forever.
Unless something very bad happens, there is no way to relock the bootloader ....
Thx Josh

Actualy bootloader can be relocked. Refurbished devices are those, thats why is a major problem with unlocking

Actually, is there a good factory reset tutorial on xda? I haven't found one yet and I don't really trust other ones on the internet.
I would like to:
-unroot
-flash original firmware
-flash original bootloader

Can HTC tell my phone is rooted etc when it's hard bricked?

Hey, so yetsreday i flashed an SuperSU update in TWRP and hard bricked my phone by that, you know, no BL, nothing when charging, etc.
So i wanted to ask if HTC or possibly media markt (Store i bought it from) can tell my phone is rooted unlocked etc, and dont accept it with the guarantee. Usually they'd change the motherboard right? I just bought the phone on saturday and im really afraid. But i have to send it in.

It depends, did you unlock your bootloader? You said the device won't boot at all? Chances are, you'll be OK. When connected to PC, is the device recognized at all? If so, what is it listed as?

I don't think it's ethical to send back a phone that you bricked while rooting.
Anyway @DarkEden_- probably didn't hard brick his phone and can restore it easily....

I did brick it, i may not be very experienced, but i can tell if my device is hard bricked... at least i think so, it didn't even show up the LED while charging.
BTW, thanks, i got it replaced by the store i bought it from. I won't go into the ethical part.
Thanks ~Eden

any unbrick files for this phone

Hi I have a HTC one SV (K2_UL) locked to Vodafone UK and I was unlocking the bootloader and it did not boot after I did it, all the computer recognizes it as is QHSUSB_DLOAD and I need the unbrick files for this phone ASAP!
Here at xda there aren't any available for this phone. If any, exist...

Relock Bootloader Command

Does anyone know the command to relock bootloader? I flashed the raw firmware but every command I tried to relock failed. I need to make a warranty claim but can't until the bootloader is relocked.
Commands I have tried but failed:
fastboot oem lock
fastboot oem asus-csc_lk ( taken from ROG Phone 2 forums)
Code:
fastboot oem asus-back
fastboot reboot (if it doesn't reboot on it's own)
Thank you! Worked perfectly. You rock!

Nice to hear it
Just remember you won't get FOTAs anymore because Asus is blacklisting unlocked phone's IMEI.
I wonder if there's a way to fake-send the IMEI to Asus when doing the unlocking process.
I don't know how exactly the bootloader is being unlocked but something tells me the unlock code is generated with the use of IMEI/SN. Wrong phone IDs = wrong key, however this is only my speculation.
I did the above command and now it says the deivce is corrupt and can't be trusted and will not boot. No press start to continue message. Can you please help me or guide me to unbrick this phone? Thank you.
P.S. I guess following the guide-unbricking-zs630kl can help? Thank you.
Edit: Nevermind. Followed that guide and unbricked it myself.

Were you able to claim the warranty? Did you do the official(Download from ASUS site) or unofficial bootloader unlock?

After you unbricked the phone, was the bootloader re-locked? Also, were you able to successfully file a warranty claim or return the phone? tnx

He has bricked it while locking the bootloader, so yeah, it will be locked. Warranty will depend on where you live. If you'll have faulty motherboard, they'll probably replace it for free but technically this is mandatory action only in the EU because just unlocking can't be considered as warranty void. Of course until they prove you that you bricked it.
