Hi,
As of late I am experiencing a strange issue on my carbon 27/07 nightly for the xt926 razr maxx hd.
Every time I start an app called "ppsspp" it force closes. This also happens if I install it directly from the play store instead of using titanium backup.
THe only way to fix it is to boot into recovery and fix permissions. But, every time I reboot the bug is there again and I would need to reboot into recovery and fix permissions.
Anyone knows why and how to fix it?
Best regards

{First of all, i DID search high and low to find the answer to my problem before i made this thread.}
I have been using Cyanogen 4.1.11.1 ROM for sometime now without any problems. A couple of day ago i started getting force closes everytime i tried to go on the android market. I tried reflashing my phone using the CM Updater as i thought this might solve the problem, but that didn't work. I have cleared the market data via setting>application settings>manage applications>market>clear cache. That didnt solve the problem either.
Is anyone else using the same ROM as i am and experiencing the same problem?
Does anyone know how i can fix this problem.
Thanks.
This is an APP question post in the correct area!!!

wrong section or not, i have the exact same rom on my dream and the market runs fine. just move the cm-update zip folder out of the cm updater and put it in the root of your sdcard then try wiping and reformating it. might help, might not. it's not a rom issue though as the market works fine on mine.
Ok thanks for the info ill try that now
Problem Solved
I wiped/factory reset, rebooted and it works fine again now. i dont know what caused this though.
Thanks
Just installed das-BAMF 1.3.1....After getting all my apps back from the market, I attempted to rum fix permissions from ROM manager. it gets about 1/2 way and hangs. The phone itself is ok, but the fix permissions just hangs. Any one els seeing this ????
Yup. Just happened to me just now. I figured fixing permissions would fix a slowdown I just experienced with handcent and stitcher running simultaneously

The fix permissions function in ROM Manager stopped working for me last week when the MR1 was released. And yes, it's the rooted RUU. Any clue as to what it might be? It sings along for about 124 apps and stops at the same program which is an android specific binary not an HTC modded one.
Recently the market has randomly force closing. It doesnt happen every time.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Im on the stock rom with root and cwm via blob v5.
On another note does anyone get a force close with the xda app?
Thanks

Similar issue
Are they only disappearing from the drawer, i. e. Are the apk in data/app? Could just be randomly frozen which you can fix with titanium backup
The whole apk is disappearing...

It could be a problem with the ROM or the way it was flashed. Backup everything and then wipe /data and /cache. Then reflash the ROM but DON'T restore your backup up. Wait and see if the app disappears by itself. If so, the ROM is the problem. If the problem seems to go away you can try to restore your backup.
Recently I'm having issues with google play...I can download apps but when they install they stop and I get Unknown Error 960...has anyone ever gotten and resolved this issue? thanks
Fyi, some things I've tried without success... Rebooting, Clearing cache on google play and download manager, and even removing and re-adding my google account

I had these error a couple of months ago, it appeared without any apparent cause. I managed to fix it uninstalling all the Play Store updates (rolling back to the stock version) and wiping app cache & data. After this, rebooted and updated the Play Store again and the error never came back.
Hope it helps
Just to let you guys know that I returned the phone to GiffGaff and it was accepted for replacement (they had to, since it was still under the first 14 days). I already have the new phone and no problems so far.
