[Q] No 2G or 3G with Cyanogenmod 7.0.2

I installed Cyanogenmod 7.0.2 on my nexus s and everything works but I can't get any 2G or 3G data. It's a HSPA network..Is this a driver issue? Could the cell phone provider somehow tell it's not the original version of the OS that came with the the phone?
I'm in Canada on Koodo..

update to the latest cm7 nightly(cm7.1 based) or cm7 kang. cm7.0.2 is VERY old and outdated

Just tried the nightly build and still no 3G..

you might have to manually add the apn's.

i update my Chacha to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 CM10
But the wifi not working
i can see tha available network but when click connect do nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any help ????

As noted in the release notes and in the thread: CM10 is far from stable. Try CM9... works great for me... Only the wifi scan doesn't work... So if you change location, you'll have to switch WiFi off/on...

Turning off wifi and turning it back on solved this for me.

i try turning on/off
but it didn't work
and try CM9 and the same problem
so i use CM7

It works with CM7? Now that's weird. Maybe you should talk to Alex C. or adlx.xda about this.

[Q] Wifi Problem in my ace plus??

I have a weird problem in my ace plus... My phone connects to wifi network but when i browse it doesn't works.. When i search something on google it works well but when i use facebook it keeps on loading for a long time and at last give error connection timed out. If i use static ip same problem google works but cannot browse facebook...
But now i installed cm10 by the Whisp and the wifi works without any error i can use google facebook or any other sites its working fine..:laugh::laugh:
This wifi problem is only with gingerbread roms both stock and custom roms :crying::crying::crying:
So is there any solution for it????? Since it works in cm10 but not is gb roms i don't think its the hardware fault..
so if anyone can help me please do reply..

I have tried all custom gb roms available and stock gb roms too but all with same result
but in cm10 everything works no problem at all:good::good::good::good:

Happened with me too.. i flashed a custom rom and problem solved!!:good:

i have seen these problems in many other devices like galaxy s advance or even s3 but cannot find a reliable solution

jellybean has some new drivers which increase
WiFi strength
but you can increase in Gb too by tweaks

[HELP] Incoming calls not working in LG P500

I just installed CyanogenMod 10/ Jelly Bean 4.1 on my LG Optimus One P500.
Everything seems to be working except the incoming calls. Incoming calls are getting listed in call log but i don't get any notification of it when i get the call. Outgoing calls are working fine and Messaging is also working fine.
i am confused if this is related to baseband thing (old / new). If someone could advise on what could be the issue and how to rectify this problem, it would be great.

Since you are getting network, and can receive calls, baseband is not the problem. It could be a bad flash or maybe not enough space (more likely) in / system. Trim the rom more and reflash. Use shinobisoft's tool to trim the rom.

Sup man i had the same exact problem and i found out it was the custom rom i had installed ! i just installed a new custom rom out of the list on the site for my p509 and it worked! the rom i got right now is Aospa 4.2.2 paranoid 3.15 works perfectly! thank me if it works :fingers-crossed:

you can use cm 10.0(android 4.1.2) pure galaxy rom, its the best in jellybean without any bugs(wifi tether,camcorder problem), or you can use speedmod which is based on kitkat 4.4.2.(wiffi hotspot and camcorder bug), kitkat is more fast :silly:

it is mentioned, that camera is buggy as in any other android 4.0+ rom on our device

ya camera will be slow it takes about 5 sec for a click and the battery thing, battery backup will be less as compared to gingerbread, but its actually not of great importance as phone performance is highly improved check out the rom threads and get assured

I recommend running the Speedmod KK by GiuGiu19 i have found it to be very user friendly and havn't found to many bugs bar the ones you are previously told about. The battery on the other hand i feel gives me way more use then when i was running Stock ROM GB, i recommend changing but the choice of which ROM you use is your choice download them both and have a play around then pick which is built better to suit you.

I posted this in the q and a thread on this ROM some are possibly the apps others are because of the ROM
1. I cannot sync contacts into my contact list for example my Facebook can't sync, the account is added in the settings but nothing appears in my contacts list no one is added.
2. When I use "File Commander" the default file manager I can access the my external SD card but it is read only. I can open things on it etc but I cannot move anything onto it without going on my PC.
You can make the external SD the primary one but still this isn't because of this ROM its kitkat in general
3. "Now Launcher" (Browser) doesn't load pages properly. I know this is probably the app but is it possible its because the ROM doesn't come preinstalled with Adobe flash player?
4. Sometimes the messenger keyboard doesn't go away after I reply to a message through the notification bar I have to press back for it to go away.

Just updated the file commander and I can now use the SD card and it isnt a read only. So I cab actually use it now

I use Speedmod 2.2.1 (Based on KK 4.4.2) it has no major bugs :good: (camrecorder and wi-fi bug is FIXED by russian developer, I don't remember his nickname, like Vergiliy or smth like this). Works much faster than stock rom or CM 10.2 and older.

no bugs as of now..

the fixes are all there. There are two noticeable bugs on this rom the camcorder and the camera flash. they are supposed to get fixed in the next build.

I recommand you to use cm10.1-20131027 4.2.2.. By techkang
Its very fast and smooth.
1. Wifi working.
2.Wifi hotspot working.
3. Camera working.
4. Flash working.
5. Fm working.
Everything is working... You should try it...
Also u can use cm10.1. With kernel 3.0 or 2.6
