I installed Cyanogenmod 7.0.2 on my nexus s and everything works but I can't get any 2G or 3G data. It's a HSPA network..Is this a driver issue? Could the cell phone provider somehow tell it's not the original version of the OS that came with the the phone?
I'm in Canada on Koodo..

update to the latest cm7 nightly(cm7.1 based) or cm7 kang. cm7.0.2 is VERY old and outdated

you might have to manually add the apn's.

I compiled and installed a AOSP ROM of latest ICS. Now I have no mobile data. I reflashed stock ICS. Still no mobile data connection...
Rest is working perfectly. Is it my provider? The E and 3G and H icons are popping up. But no working connection though

I remember my log saying no radio included.
Now I flashed AOSP+, wifi is working again. Still no mobile data. I will flash radio I was thinking of doing that, But I flashed the stock ics rom which also included the radio. That didnt work. But I will try it.

Same here, flashed back to gingerbread, everything worked perfectly.
Flashed AOSP+, mobile data broke.
Guess I have to stay with GB for now, can't really stand the UI after a taste of ICS though.
All proprietary files need to be in place.
Hey guys, I seem to be in a bit of a pickle. For a while I've been using Team EOS stingray version 2.0.0, but LTE never worked. 3G worked fine, but not LTE. I read that I needed to update the radio so I flashed the latest radio (imm76l) using Rogue recovery and now I don't get 3G or LTE, and my baseband version is listed as "unknown". Any thoughts as to what went wrong?

The new radios only work on EOS ICS/JB Nightly's past 95 and CM9 builds past mid June (I believe,) AND ICS Stock that was released for the 4g model in June. They will not work with any releases prior to those. Unfortunately 2.0.0 is before those builds and won't work the radios.
Thanks for the replies. It turns out my problem was that you need to flash the new radio BEFORE flashing the ROM. I fixed it by flashing the latest Jellybean build from EOS.

and now i changed my Mobile operator to diffident one...
if i install rom based on CM, my 3G doesn't work, but if i install Weapon Rom, everything working without problem.
The Weapon rom is old and slow.
what can i do?

Did you do full wipes when reinstalling? Which carrier? Is your baseband updated? CM7 Gingerbread runs flawlessly on the p999 tmobile g2x in my experience and would imagine it runs just the same on the 990

but the with the new carrier i have problem with 3G, i install difrent roms based on CM and the 3G doesnt work.
only Weapon work, and yes i do full wipes.

No, when i using Weapon rom, i have full signal and if i install CM rom i dont have 3G
there are any other roms that not based on CM ?
install weapon, look at the apns. Cm7 may not have the correct apns.
Go to settings, wireless & network, mobile network settings, access points names. Copy them down, and add them into cm7's apn settings

The only Stock ROMS I am aware of are WEAPON's (2.3.3 GB), KWES' (2.3.4), and BURU's (2.3.4) ROMS.
Weapon is for v21e Baseband, while the other 2 are for the v21y Baseband ROMS.
But you can run the base band fix if you wanna run weapon and are on March base band!

CM 10 Mobile Network help!
I've installed CyanogenMod 10.1 on my Ace Plus (GT-S7500), and I've noticed that my mobile network is disconnected and not working but wifi is working fine. Help please!

try to flash stock rom again and check if network is stable or not
if yes then flash cm 10.1 by wiping every thing
if that doesnt solve the problem then its your network carrier problem not cm 10.1
and for the kernel
no you cant run it on JB buddy because it is for GB not for JB
you cant run any GB kernel on JB

I've flashed the stock rom, and yes, the mobile data is working, but when I flashed the CM 10.1, it's not woking. What seems to be the problem? Okay, so GB will only work for GB, thanks for clearing this for me, though I don't have any idea why mobile data is not working on CM10.1 but works on stock rom.

ohh then you just have to manually add apn settings !!!
just call your operator and ask them for apn setting
or search on Google you will find it

go to SETTINGS -> wireless and network settings -> MOBILE NETWORK -> access point names -> click your phones left button then click RESET TO DEFAULT
After flashing this rom my 3g signal is always very weak or nothing, while the gsm is full all the time. Any help? (sorry for my English)

If I remember right this is bug in nexesque rom.
It may be this, because before flashing it had been working fine. I'll try changing the rom.

did you flash the patch for the gsm?
because i did that and my 3g signal was all wack.
and after that patch even the signal on the other roms i flash stayed the same.
only 2g works fine.
so it may be this

I flashed the gsm patch and I was still not working. Now I flashed other ROM (cyanogen) and the 3g is working fine. It should have been something from NEXQUE ROM :/
NEXQUE is for BL locked phones, to provide vanilla Android experience as much as possible. Enjoy in AOSP, CM or any other rom (Carbon as my favorites) for unlocked BL

Just use older carbon build and fix camcorder hiss sound (if you have) manually. I use 20140423 build.
