Hey all,
I really want to mess with Ingress more and what better way than on my bike. The problem is that the handle bars on not really like others and there is no room to use a standard mount.
Does anyone happen to have a Ninja with a mount for the Nex4?
Thanks

I don't ride motorcycles but have you checked out ram mounts. They seem to have a variety of ways of mounting stuff. I have the xgrip universal mount. You can get that and in their website select a joint solution for your handlebars.

I had a ram mount U mount on my ZX6 and later on my F800GS I had two. They work great. Once you get the ram mount and extender, check out 400472898716 on ebay. It's a ram compatible nexus 4 holder. That combo should work just fine.

I use the Ram X-Grip with the Ram ball mounted to my bar mount bolts. You don't have those but RAM offers an option for the Ram ball to mount in your steering stem hole area LINK.
The X-Grip is great! no slipping - been using it for about 6 months on my Multistrada.

I'am scanning ebay time to time, this one looks pretty nice to me:

Has anybody tried this or any other solutions?
This is just a car mount.. the Google Car Dock will charge it and put it in some kind of NAV mode I am guessing..
But I am waiting too, much more excited about the car mount over the desktop one they sell.
i'm buying this one when my N1 arrives:

I have this one. You will need to modify (Heat and bend, file down slightly with dremmel) to make it work with a hardcase on the phone. I got it to work nicely.
I just bought a random car holder from a store with variable width and it works like a charm, cost like $10.
Might not have a built in charger, but I already have a usb charger for my car so it doesn't really matter.

BEST Phone holder.. BY FAR
bought this to use with my G1 back when the Sprint Hero Nav app was dumped.. used it many times and works excellent with the Nexus One as well ... it rotates landscape and it unclips to use in the dash vent .. i originally wanted it because it doesnt interfere with the touchscreen and its low profile wont let it vibrate too much..and it has a good grasp on the phone without damage (i run a track setup on my suspension with competition spring rates and coilovers.. along with solid engine mounts)

it's not clear by the Amazon description, does it mount by peel and stick or suction cup?

I've been looking for a low profile secure vent mount for my benz. Might check this one out for $15!
Update: Just picked one up at PepBoys for $11.99!
FYI: it's brand name is TypeS Xgrip universal holder & model is AC30267-60/6
Update2: Took it back...way to flimsy!

I had a lot of trouble getting it to 'hold' securely at the correct angle height on the vent.

just got mine in today... it's legit badass. very sturdy and it's a suction cup that actually holds suction. the actually phone holder offers 360 degrees rotation and tilt. i give it two thumbs up!
I just got one from http://www.thecellguru.com/Products/26866 for a little under $33 delivered. I have used Cellularaccessory (the OP's source) in the past and found them very helpful as well.
The mount is "OK" in my book. While nicely made and holds the phone well, it isn't anywhere near as adjustable as I would like in terms of angles. There is only a small amount of adjustability in the ball joint that connects the cradle to the arm, perhaps +/- 20 degrees.
Another drawback is it launches the &*^%ing car-mode app/screen and ties it to the home button, which makes for a less-than-useful phone (until I can figure out how to customize that app away).
On the plus side, the lever for the suction cup is very easy to use (much better than, for example, the twist-to-lock used by TomTom).
I also like that there isn't stress on the phone's micro-USB connector. That connector has been a failure point on other phones.
It includes a standard Samsung CLA, which may or may not be able to provide the 1.1A that the T959V can take to charge. I use a USB cable and the Elago 1A (dual) CLA-to-USB which lets me charge the phone, as well as a headset/speakerphone from a single socket. Apparently Amazon has seen enough sales of the Elago line (love their Nano II microSDHC reader) that they have picked them up themselves. JoWow has been good in the past for many orders and Elago items (they were previously the only Amazon-related source).
I'll probably end up ditching the suction-cup arm and figuring out how to better mount the cradle. From what I have read, it isn't the industry-standard pattern, so it will have to be something custom.
I actually made my own mount using a cheap piece of crap mount off Amazon and my old Magellan GPS mount. I took the front part that actually holds the phone, and used a dremel tool to cut new holes in the back so that it would slide on to the arm assembly of the GPS mount. Fits perfect and looks awesome. Best of all, it doesn't fall off my windshield anymore!
Anyone have an issue using a bluetooth headset while docked? It seems to disable unless I undock, make call, and redock.

Make sure you let us know how that works out. It's interesting... But what if you wanna mess around with your cd player?
What about the ac vents? Perfect spot. Ready to reach, out of the way of everything...

Normally I would say a Spiderpodium <http://www.breffo.com/> and maybe sugru that to the bike if you want it more permanate.
I used a Slip-Grip RAM mount on my SV650 for my iPhone 5--worked great (sold the bike). You have to pick if you want it for a specific case, or no case. IIRC, my buddy dropped the bike which broke off the tab that holds the phone in--but he did drop it on that side.
Since I'm too new to post links, just Google Slip Grip Car mounts. SLIP-GRIP-RAM-HOL-HOLDER for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the one I would probably get (unless you ride in inclement weather; then consider one that allows a water resistant case).
This one also needs the appropriate RAM mount for your bike--RAM makes a center mount and a handlebar mount (might even be others). The nice thing about buying this separate is that you can always keep the mount, but upgrade/change the phone holding component later.
I have planned to buy a dashboard mount for Nexus 9. This is my favourite option http://www.amazon.com/Exogear-ExoMount-Universal-Dashboard-Tablets/dp/B006JJZCAO/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1414573795&sr=1-4&keywords=dashboard+mount+for+tablets
Are you gonna bug something like this for your card dashboard and tablet.
probably get a ram mount
Ram mount for the win
ive a ram mount for the motorola xoom in my ride right now. its a cup holder setup because i dont have much real estate on the dash for such a large tab like this item is designed for.

You have a link for what you got? I'm interested in the same. Couldn't find anything after a casual Amazon search.
i purchased this mount from RAM when i bought my moto xoom which was in 2011.
have you been to the RAM site directly? they have many types of mounts.
Ok Guys for now i can say Exomount its perfect for the new Nexus 9
The Spiderpodium Tablet is also another good alternative to the ExoMount.
I commute on a daily base to work.
I am looking for a secure way to mount my note 9 to the stem of my bike (or on handlebars).
I saw a couple of solutions (quad lock etc). but those solutions require a specific case. And those look quite beefy.
I would like to have a kind of normal case where it doesnt look bad or hinder normal use.
thanks in advance!
Quad lock also makes a stick on mount you can apply to any case.
I just swap cases when I ride my bike so I don't have to deal with the bulk mount all the time.

Helpfull that link of RAM mount.

You could take a look at the SKS Compit mounts. There are several versions out there, even with a powerbank and QI charging. Didn't need that though
The mounting hardware is for handlebars up to 30,8mm diameter , my new emtb has 34mm, so I had to improvise a little bit and designed a specific mount for my handlebars, that I 3d-printed.
Looks like that
