Purest and most stable ROM for the HTC One S? - HTC One S

Hey guys, I'm just wondering what the stablest, most vanilla ROM for the HTC One S is. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus that recently died on me, so I picked up the One S while is was on sale for $180. I'm trying to get this phone as close to stock Android as possible. I've done flashes before, and I'm fairly competent at following tutorials, so that shouldn't be much of an issue. There are just an overwhelming amount of ROMs by different developers that I don't know which to pick.

Moved to Q&A as this is a question. Closed as best ROM threads are not allowed.

Vivid Rom?

I didn't know if i should post this here or on the Devlopment forum but here goes.
I know it'll probably be FOREVER before AT&T releases the ICS update for our devices, if it happens at all. Because of this i rooted my phone and am running Ice Cold Sandwich from Lord Clockan in the forums.
I see that theres been a lot of work in the DHD and Inspire Dev forums on porting One V version of sense and ICS to the Inspire.
Since i'm not a dev I know this question may sound stupid, but would it not be easier to try and port the Vivid ICS and Sense version to the Inspire since it's already been officially released and working? Or would this be too difficult because of the difference in screen size 4.3 vs 4.5?
If screen size matters what about a Sensation port?
If these questions come off as stupid please forgive my ignorance i'm just a curious user.

Please do a search for your answers before you post a question like this as its been discussed nearly 312312 times. The bottom line is this: AT&T is not releasing ICS to the Inspire. However, the Desire is going to get it. This means that when the desire does get it, the devs will have the PROPER source to build off of. So no, you can't port an official ICS ROM from the Vivid or any other device other then the Desire because there will be issues from the source all the way to the drivers and beyond. So what does that mean for us, well that means that we get alpha and beta releases of ICS until the devs get the correct code to fix some of the issues in their ROMs.

I already knew everything you posted. Nothing you've said really answers the question I posted.
I'm not complaining about AT&T not releasing it. Very far from it actually since i'm using a stable ICS ROM.
Contrary to popular belief the Search Forum / Topic function does not work as well as everyone thinks it did. I tried searching using various key words and it all just brought me to the Vivid forum which obviously is not where I want to be.
In your unnecessary rant you say "So no, you can't port an official ICS ROM from the Vivid or any other device other then the Desire because there will be issues from the source all the way to the drivers and beyond." which is obviously BS considering in my OP I mention the fact that Devs are currently porting ICS and Sense from the HTC One V for the DHD / Inspire. So not only are they taking the OS and Skin from a different device and porting it to ours, but they're getting it from a device that has not yet even been released to the public.
Would someone else like to answer my question original question without being a "do a search" nazi?
I would imagine that if the Vivid or Sensation ROMs were a viable option to port to the Inspire, then one of the genius devs here would have already thought of it.

buttmaddddd? lolol. Senior members get butt hurt. Indirectly quoting me in other threads. Troll on. Follow the rules of xda and there are no problems. If you take exception with me and how I answer questions please feel free to get buttmadd and send me a PM so it can settled outside of this thread and other threads. I answered your question. There was no rant. The only rant I see here is yours and this one right here. So please keep your troll comments to yourself and out other threads. My original answer is valid and answers your question. I'm sorry it wasn't technical enough or straight from the mouths of a mod or dev, which seems to be what you wanted.
They're already porting it from the sensation XL which is closer to the inspires hardware, move along

Because porting a qHD Rom with a wholly different SoC is hard.

ROM for the wife?

My wife has an S-Off DS that I put Bulletproof on about a year ago. She's recently been having issues so I thought I'd see what the hot Roms were and apparently you guys have modern Jelly Been Roms! Are they stable? Or are there at least any solid ICS Roms to consider? Or is Bulletproof still the go-to stable ROM?
Would appreciate some guidance please.

The problem is that you will get different answers from everyone since no two people can give you the same answer since no two people use their phone in the same way. Unfortunately frequently these types of threads can lead to arguments between supporters of whatever ROMs, so we generally tend to close them whenever we find them. I suggest reading the ROM threads and trying several different ROMs until you find the one that works best for your wife.
Thank you,

[Q] Which is the best phone for frequently changing ROMs and development ?

I've always favoured Samsung to be easy to install custom ROMs on. Im thinking of getting a new phone and my preference was a HTC One M8. But I foound less development and ROM catalougs comapared to samsung…
So Which do you reckon woud be the current best phone or some model to be released in the nearby future that wid be apt for ROM evaluation and development???
I've heard rumours on the Nexus 6 and Android Silver. Any idea if it will be good???
Hello,
There are 3 threads devoted to discussions about devices, please repost your question in one of these three threads: The what should I buy thread or the The Device Suggestion Thread or the The Device Comparison Thread.

Questions about S6 custom ROMs

Hi All,
I've had an HTC one (m7) for about 18 months, but I'm increasingly favouring the new S6 Edge as my next phone; there are so many great features that I think will be genuinely useful.
Whereas I had a good grasp on the custom ROM scene with HTC phones, I'm not so sure what the state of play is with Samsung phones. I've read somewhere that Samsung's choice to use their own processor in the S6 will make it tough to access internals that are required for sucessful rooting.
Can anyone on this forum tell me if the above is true? Will I be able to customise and tweak the S6 in the same way that I'm used to on my m7? Is Touchwiz removable, or at least replaceable by another Launcher such as Apex or Nova? And would an alternate Launcher still have access to features like apps in separate windows, quick launch camera, etc.
I realise that I could learn most of this by googling here and on other forums, but it would be great if one of the regular contributors to this forum could give me an overview.
Thanks for your help,
Miles.
I think htc m9 will be for that

Hi Miles,
Unfortunately there is no one I know with an HTC phone.
I'll ask you a question and see if this would be recommended by you at all? The HTC M9.

Did you really post this... did you even bother to read ANYTHING at all?! There is the EXACT SAME POST HERE

What is the best phone for best rom for best costumization options?

I'm using a Galaxy SII but as you know, it is pretty old for today. Now the question is:
-Is there any phone like SII which have that much big DEV Com.m for today? I want to customize every little detail to my pleasure. Is that possible like old days?
The thread got closed since there already is a phone recommendation thread. Please use that one.
