My AKAI 7" Tablet is stuck in a boot loop - General Questions and Answers

Hello.
I've looked in the other threads involving boot loops but couldn't find a solution.
I have an AKAI 7" Tablet (Model AK8460) running Android 4.0.3. It ran fine till I got into my head
that I must find a way to display Greek diacritics on my tablet's browser since I study Ancient Greek.
My device was not rooted and I would be afraid doing so even if I knew how.
After trying both font installer and iFont, I copied Times new roman bold from my PC to the custom folder under ifont
and then tried setting it as the default font. I didn't see any message that the process was completed, but the device rebooted
and ever since. it is stuck in a boot loop. This didn't happen with Arial Unicode MS or SBL Greek. In both cases, the device rebooted
with no boot loop (though diacritics weren't displayed but that's another matter).
The tablet has this pinhole reset but I don't quite understand at what point during the boot I'm supposed to use it
and for how long.
Your help is much appreciated.

One website had some recovery methods for various devices but it seems AKAI is a company with
no official website or brochures with listed combo-buttons to get into recovery mode.
The pinhole reset is just like a restart button on a PC. It wouldn't revert the tablet to its factory settings and
is still stuck in a boot loop.
Please help.

Never mind. Got a new one off the store. This all fiasco started because there is no support for more unicode characters
as there is on the IOS Apple devices. I know some LG and Samsung devices have the ability to change the system font
without rooting. I'm not gonna risk another bricked tablet.

I know its a late answer but it might help someone : I have an Akai k711hd ( I belive made by Lava, xtron model ) holding down the power button for like 8+ sec or so rebooted and factory reset my tablet.

GT-P6210MA boot loop / hangs at splash screen

Hello,
I'm new to the community. I generally work on PC but a friend brought me this Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 Plus that turns on but is stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 Plus" splash screen when it first turns on. I have tried the" Power+Vol up" to reset to factory but it seems to go too-quickly and then I am back to square one because nothing changed. I dont know if my friend or his kids tried to do anything crazy with this so I don't have much more info.
What I am asking... I want to get this tab back to factory, or at least a working ROM. any advice is helpful but please keep in mind I have never really worked on these devices, the one thing I do know is if I jump to conclusions I can brick the device.
Thanks in advance. If more info is needed please ask.
did you try with a retore power + vol down with Odin
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-P6210&pcode=XAR&os=1&type=3#firmware
choose between 3.2 honeycomb or 4.0.4 ICS
I got the same problem before !!!

There is my solution
I had a very similar problem to both of you and noticed that the /data (instead of /efs) directory/partition "didn't exist" according to the boot screen when i entered the default recovery mode. i partitioned it and ran a factory reset and it finally booted.
and all just in time to pull the factory US ICS update

[Q] recovery mode with dead android logo help please

i have a tablet with a name oplus fab nova 3g. the manufucturer is said to be from the us.
now my problem occured last week as i was making a personalize theme for the tab. to make it more costumized i change font via font installer. the font ive used is not from font installer server. ive had change fonts for around 5 times without harm. now ive decided to rewrite the roboto for the keyboard. the font installer ask to boot. so i tap yes. now my tab booted only at the manufucturer logo. im rooted via framaroot. i am not a fan of custom roms so i dont do the stock rom backup. the tab got 2 bootups: recovery mode with fastboot mode, reboot mode, and recovery mpde options. ive tried the recpvery mode and it goes with manufucturer logo and a dead android with red triangle on its belly. ive tried pressing volume up+pwr keys but still no other option except the dead androod logo for 10mins then it will reboot. the second bootup shows the developers test. like test camera and other hardwares of the tab. all fully working. clear emmc and said formatting and goes booting back again.
so my best option is:
1. flash stock roboto font via adb but i dont know what im going to do. im new to this.
2. flash the stock rom. the prob is the makers of thr tab wont issue stock rom for us cause they said they dont support rooting.
my other question is if i flash the roboto will it fix the problem? and did anyone of you did this and succeed and passed the boot looping?
since i got only 2 options is there anyone of you got any other way to fix this before that option number 2. this tablet is just a gift from my boyfriend. its cheap but it had my sentiments. the store where he bought this is 200-300 miles away from my location and it will take 2 months before they could fix this. and that im going tovisit him a month from now. i need the tablet for gps since im a bit paranood with what happened to malaysia airline unsolved crash mystery unsolved i have to travel by plane next month to visit him. please help. i dont want to cause another harm to the tablet that will cause it bootable no more. i still can charge it. system hardwares all sound. your post is highly appreciated and sorry fpr my bad english.

[Completed] LG 8.3 Tablet in boot loop

Rooted stock Kit Kat tablet (V500) 2 weeks ago, and all went well. Used ioroot24. however 3/4 days ago started tablet, and tablet in boot loop.
Have searched and tried LG Hard Reset , gets to android robot deleting (only for very short time) and restarts in root loop
Also Used LG mobile support tool which d/loads recovery file, appears to load on tablet (in d/Load mode) and reboots in boot loop again.
Button set to factory reset does not work either.
Should I install Linux distro and use adb/fast boot commands? Am using win 8.1 x64 at present.
On starting shows LG logo, seems to boot for 15/20 seconds then reboots.
Point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Lenovo A2107A-F stuck in bootloop.

Hello. I recently acquired a Lenovo A2107A-F tablet from a friend. I rooted it using an app I downloaded from the play store. The app did root it and was working fine. I then downloaded another app (can not remember the name) that allowed me to tweak/change settings, files, etc. I used that app to change the boot animation to a doctor who animation. Still working fine till the other day. I decided to change the animation to something different. This time I changed it to a Jurassic Park animation. That's when it stopped working. It will boot up and the animation will start and then the animation freezes the screen but the tablet keeps continuing to boot up. I went into the factory reset menu via the pwr bottun/vol + button and reset the eCCM (I think that is the right) to reset the tablet to factory. Didn't work. It's still doing the same thing. I have looked through a bunch of threads on this website and tried a lot of different stuff and I can't get anything to work. I think the main problem is I can not get my computer to recognize my tablet. I am running Windows 10 and all the drivers I've found don't appear to work and my computer wont let me open any files that contain executable code. Any and all help with this will be appreciated. Thanks!

No longer see the bootloader screen on my Dual boot Android/Win 10 tablet

I followed a guide to dual boot my Linx7 tablet using the Cube iWork 7 download with Android and Windows 10. I got this working fine and over the last few weeks have setup both how i want them. However, at some point i seem to have lost the ability to choose which OS to boot. Normally I'd turn the tablet on, see the American Megatrends screen then it would boot to the EFI Shell/Bootloader?? which would give me the choice of booting Android or Windows. I get none now and it will just boot to the last used OS.
In Android i noticed an app that is called 'Boot to Windows' which works as expected, reboots into Windows. However when I was booting to Windows, to get back to Android i rebooted about 6 times and just hammered volume down which happened to work and boot it into Android. I'm not afraid to boot back into Windows in case i can't get back into Android.
Does anyone know what I've done, how i can fix it, ideally without having to reinstall both OS's again or is there a way of changing the OS to boot to without the menu (like volume down which i feel shouldn't have worked for me but did)
Any help would be really appreciated as I've searched for hours to find answers without any luck.
