I tryed this morning... works great.

Can we use Slim GAPPS with this ROM? I know they have a particular thing...they turn dark if you activate the "dark mode" of the ROM. By "dark mode" I understand that switch under Settings, present in many ROMs like Odyssey, Carbon, Illusions, Liquid and so on...
Edit: Nevermind. Tested it with Slim GAPPS and works. What's strange is that I can't get camera working, it's saying it could not connect to camera (both on stock and Focal). Anyone else?

You're right.. mea culpa, I haven't note before. It not dependent from kernel or app... I'm taking a look, probably is the nightly build. Sorry.
Update:
Maybe the cause was CarbonTeam has add to their manifest the kernel relative to ville... I'm updating.
Update:
Solved, all works. New build ready to download.

Will flash this tomorrow on my corp phone. Better work! Great work guys, long time fan from the S3 roms!
Edit:
Today is yesterdays tomorrow, so I have flashed my phone. Was sceptical to the Nova Launcher, but turns out that I did liked it very much. Misses some features from the previous (RC9) ROM, such as the ability to center the clock on the notification bar.
It also lags a bit when scrolling in some apps, but not all.
As always, I'm very happy!

I'll try to do that if I'll use it long enough . Still, it's probably the same as other CM10 builds, I don't see why this would be different. Anyway, I installed NEAK kernel on it.

Care to explain why and what will happen if I do not flash either of these kernels first? And what if I already flash this rom without flashing a kernel first?
I came from stock sammy ROM, rooted and flashed this ROM. Everything that I have tested is working.
Re: [ROM] [AOSP][LINARO] LIQUIDSMOOTH JellyBean [4.2.1] Beta 3 [n7100] » Jan 19
There is a Samsung update that changes instructions for one of the chips. If you run 10.1 rom without running a kernel that negates the update and you have the update you'll have graphic issues. If you have been running 10.1 for awhile you will not have a problem.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
Ok... So its no problem to flash one of these kernels afterwards also?
Only been running this ROM for half a day now, and have not noticed any graphical issues.

I can't find a download file dated 19th January, I have found older zip files but can't find the latest, can anyone help please, Regards.
We've pulled all beta3 downloads for the moment. Somehow Nova Prime ended up mixed into the build, rather than Nova Free. Obviously this is completely unacceptable so please bear with us while we refresh our builds and get Beta 3.1 out to you as soon as possible. We'll also be incorporating the latest device tree fixes as some very new and interesting ones have entered the scene today.
Team Liquid would also like to extend our sincere apologies to the TeslaCoil Software and ask all of you to support their work.

I can't access the "AOSB Rom Box" menu in settings. Nothing happens when I press on it. Also (noob question here) how do I add homescreens? Default is 2 but I'd like 4. Love the multi-screen by the way.

Just one question, HALO does work when you long press on a notification, but the actual HALO ball doesn't appear. Could you please check this or tell me how to make the ball show up?
Thanks!

Thanks for this too! I was wondering if the GPS fix posted here is merged into CandyKat: https://gerrit.slimroms.net/#/c/8979/.
Without it, GPS for the skyrocket won't lock.

New to this device so I don't know the ins and out yet. If its not in I'll get it in asap. Thanks. Any other issues you guys have I'll be happy to fix as best I can.
If its in slimkat then its in candykat. We stay as up to date as possible with everything that's been merged kk4.4 branch of slim.
I tested everything I could before release and GPS had no problem locking.

Thanks so much. I was just looking on CandyKat's github and didn't see the change so I was just posting in case people were wondering about it. While I know CandyKat is based on Slim, that specific change didn't look like it was merged since the last time the frameworks/base repo was updated. Just wanted to let you know, thanks again. Hoped I helped, if you need any help regarding the change, let @NoSpamDan know as he was the one who discovered the fix.

Figured out its not in source. I'll have a new build up within 12 hours. [emoji106]
Is there a better kernel source I could build with? I notice the slim thread has a from Moretz or something. I just build with stock slum for now which I believe is cm source. I'm open to suggestions.

You could try manually building from the CM kernel and importing the compliation changes from Gerrit that PR made before the change to Moretz. Just so you know, @NoSpamDan has taking out OC from the Moretz kernel posted on Slim and it's completely stable and fast!

Was there a problem with cm kernel. Don't want to fix it if it ain't broke. Most of the time kernel choice comes down to preference. After all you guys are free to flash a kernel of choice anytime.

That sounds great. You guys seem really well organized with great support. It's nice to see .
Its been awhile since I've used anything with Moretz. I haven't had good experiences with it in regards to bluetooth and wakelocks. Just consistently drops the connection. Now, maybe someone else can shine some light as to whether thats been fixed or not as I have no idea. If you can switch governors no problem and BT is stable then I'm sure Moretz is fine.
New build updated in the OP too. GPS fix.

For all Canadian fellows, you can't install on N900W8 ... I tried...
Awesome Stuff maannnn...
---------- Post added at 01:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:05 AM ----------
I installed xposed framework and everything is working except for the "App Setting" module to set the per-app-dpi and that's the only module that I use Do you know how to fix it? Or any alternate app/module or solution?
For Canadian version as well as t-mobile
Updater script needs to have device value in it
As aneeded example for tmobile
Instead of the first two displaying hltexx I change to hltetmo and am able to flash successfully
It's actually quite simple.
I use winrar and notepad++ on my pc to do this.
Although some features may not work properly and the risk is entirely up to you.
Or in some cases philz recovery is able to flash them but if there is a specific recovery to use as a requirement you take full responsibility of trying this
Just trying to clarify

Hi, I was wondering if I can ask a build question of you.
I'd like to build carbon lp5.1 for hltespr.
I've built for hltespr and hltespr pac-man kk and lp unofficial roms; well not frequent htlespr lp as there is an official maintainer. If I find the nightlys have failed I manually build hltespr for the users until the nightlys are fixed. encho is good with that setup.
Anyhow, I have the roomservice.xml file created by getdependency during pac build. I can put that file in .repo/local_manifests for carbon?
My issue is I can't figure out where to create the carbon_kltespr.mk file so lunch will run. do I create a device/samsung/kltespr folder and place it there?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT I believe I've found what I needed, 1 problem when you start building with PAC-MAN ROM 1st. They make it too easy
EDIT2: - I'm closer ... I've got the device tree down from CM12.1. .. I PM'd you instead of cluttering up the thread.

Waiting for the new version dear. This is the most stable/feature rich AOSP Rom I've ever used on N9005 by a long margin. I've been using it for a month now and haven't had a single FC/bootloop, also the battery life is great with arter97 kernel and power saving mode enabled, but there's still room for improvement in battery life. Keep up the good word. :good:
