Hi again Well it took me a bit, but as there was another OTA, it seems I finally got around to getting a new build together. Now up front it should be noted the slight tweak to the name... This stems from the fact that the newest build is in a way a step back from those that came before it, at least in two very large ways:
1) I did not personally carry over all of the themes that had been made for earlier versions of Tweaked (I did bring over the base Black and Blue by @stranula though)
2) I did not invest the time into porting in all of the lockscreens again
My apologies for not doing these things (at least up front, who knows what the future holds), but time is not what it used to be for me so I felt the sacrifice worth it (hopefully folks agree!).
Now that we all understand the meaning behind the name... let's move on to the usual stuff
I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS (GOOD OR BAD) AS A RESULT OF FLASHING OR ATTEMPTING TO FLASH WHAT IS POSTED HERE! It seems that there is considerable variability across our phones, so as always YMMV!
If there is anything you would like to see (or wish wasn't there), let me know. I can't promise I'll do anything about it, but such requests keep me motivated and learning - and thats been the driving force behind this ROM since it began.
You will need to have CWM Recovery already installed on your phone - it should work fine on any of the more recent variants but I've had great luck with the most recent one or two (version 5.0.2.7 can be found here or here) - note that some report issues with nandroids, but I tend not to use them so I haven't experienced any issues. Also, I would strongly recommend doing a data wipe/factory reset within CWM before flashing any of the non-update CWM .zips (that's what I've been doing at least and I have had no problems).
As far as kernels are concerned - there is currently only the stock fp8 kernel. Hopefully that changes at some point, but options are limited.
MY GENERAL RECOMMENDATION:
ODIN back to stock EP4D BEFORE you flash anything (which can be found here). Then either flash the three update .zips that are floating around or (likely easier) take the three OTAs to get to stock FP8A. It just makes for far fewer problems.
CWM Installation instructions:
- Backup your current setup/data
- Download file and place on sdcard
- Boot into CWM recovery
- If flashing full ROM package, its recommended to wipe data/factory reset in CWM recovery
- If flashing update package, its recommended to at least wipe cache/dalvik in CWM recovery
- MAKE SURE TO MOUNT /system IN CWM RECOVERY (it should say "unmount" after system)
- Select and install the .zip you put on your sdcard
Download links can be found further down. Let me know if there are any suggestions/issues/etc - happy flashing!

[size=+1]TWEAKTOOLS[/size]
Now tweaktools is a bit limited compared to FP5 as there are no themes and a number of the CWM mods were scrapped. That being said, there are some goodies to be had and it can always improve
Here is an edited recap of the FP5 overview of Tweaktools:
Getting started
First off, while you can use adb to run tweaktools from a computer, I'm not going to discuss this route (for those with the knowledge it's totally doable). For those going about things on their phone, here is what you need to do:
1) Open the Terminal Emulator app, then type "su" (without the quotes) at the $ prompt and hit enter
2) At least the first time you do this you'll get a prompt for superuser access - allow this of course
NOTE: If a message appears saying su could not be found, go into the Superuser app - you should see a prompt saying update su binary, which you should agree to, and then all should be well
3) Now at a # prompt, type "tweaktools" (again without quotes) and hit enter
4) You are now in tweaktools - read the screen, make selections, and have a good day.
Installing themes via tweaktools
NOTE: THERE ARE NO THEMES AVAILABLE CURRENTLY!!!
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the themes option
3) Select a theme you are interested in
4) Here you can choose to view a screenshot (this should open it up in your browser on your phone), just DL the theme, just flash the theme if already DLed, or do a combination DL/flash.
NOTE: Themes are best experienced when flashed over the default black and blue theme - if you are not currently on that theme (or aren't sure what you are on) you should first flash back to that - THEN go through and select the new theme you are interested in. If you do not, there WILL be problems (either aethetic or functional)!
Installing debloated/selected system apps via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the applications option
3) Choose what you would like to do, which includes:
- Looking through a number of debloated/preselected system apps available through tweaktools and installing
- Removing any of the system apps that have been installed via tweaktools
- Install/remove system apps from your sdcard
NOTE: Remember - these are apps that are going to /system/app - which is different than installing an apk from the play store for example.
Installing CWM-flashable mods via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the CWM Mods option
3) Choose a general category to look through
4) Select an option. Here you can choose to just DL the mod, flash the mod if already DLed, or simultaneous DL/flash. Also, for boot animation/shutdown options you can choose to view a preview gif of the animation, which will open in your phones browser.
Installing "tweaks" via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Choose tweaks menu
3) Select between init.d and non-init.d based tweaks
- REMEMBER: Many of the tweaks require init.d support, which should work on Tweaked Lite
4) Select the option you would like to install
NOTE: For more information on a number of the init.d-style tweaks, check out this thread, which is where tonsit pulled a number of these from, as well as this thread dSlice put together.
Updating rom via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the Check for Updates option
3) Here tweaktools will check what rom version you are and let you know if there is an update available on tweaktools
4) If there is, choose "y" to install the update
[size=+1]Tweaktools FAQ[/size]
Q: I can't connect/get into tweaktools - what gives?
A: Sometimes servers get busy, so there will be occasions where DLs will be slow, not work, etc. The best bet is to just give it some time and try again in a little bit.
Q: So I am in tweaktools, but my app/theme/cwm mod doesn't seem to stick/flashes REALLY fast?
A: Most situations can be resolved by simply clearing downloads, exiting tweaktools, and going back in after a little time has passed. Another thing to try is to make sure the phone is NOT connected to your computer once the phone reboots to go into recovery. Something else that I have noticed is that If a problem still persists, you can just download the file then manually go into CWM recovery and flash it there.
Q: When I start tweaktools it says there's an update... now what?
A: Well you should update - the only time updates are made available is when something is fixed or some new functionality is added. There are technically two things that can be updated - the launcher (this update will require a reboot into recovery), and the menu (this does NOT require a reboot). You should definitely keep these up-to-date.
Q: Where can I find more information on tweaktools?
A: More information on all that can be done with this incredibly useful utility can be found here or here!
[size=+1]FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS[/size]
Q: I'm getting a "can't mount /sdcard" in CWM recovery - what should I do?
A: While this doesn't seem to happen often, you can download the ADBsdcardFix.zip here - then extract the folder (should be fine to extract it to your desktop) and attach your phone to the computer via USB (I did this while the phone was already in CWM). Open the newly-extracted ADB folder, and then double-click on the CWMsdcardFix.bat - something should pop up on the screen for a brief second, which is completely normal. After double-clicking the .bat file, on the phone go to mounts and storage, then select mount /sdcard - and it now should work!
All the .bat file does is the following code:
Code:
adb shell
umount /sdcard
rm -f /sdcard
mkdir /sdcard
exit
Q: Hangouts gives me a can't-sign-in error when I first sign in to the phone (i.e. after data wipe, flashing rom, etc.)... WHY YOU BREAK IT?!?!
A: Yeah I'm unsure what the cause is for this (my thinking is with so much initial syncing going on it just gets irritated), but if you reboot your phone (or even just wait a while) the issue will resolve itself.
Q: I'm having overlap issues with statusbar icons and center clock - what should I do? Also notifications aren't clumping like they were before with center clock - what gives?
A: Yup - things may overlap, so you will have to change settings to avoid the issue, or deal with it. And yup, now that center clock is more "true" center, notifications will not clump as they did before.
Q: I set my statusbar to be transparent... but I don't see my wallpaper under it. What gives?
Q: This is more a launcher issue than anything else. I actually edited the TW launcher to make it viewable - and unfortunately behavior of this will vary across launchers.
Q: After first flashing, my statusbar is missing - what do I do?
A: This occasionally happens - it clears up with a reboot. It also clears up after anything activates the statusbar ticker - so doing things like usb connecting your phone to your computer, downloading/installing an app from play store, getting a text - all these things make the statusbar reappear. Note that this only happens after the initial flash.
Q: What the hell is TSMParts?
A: A huge slew of mods and tweaks - here are some notes on them:
Most of the tweaks start at stock-ish defaults.
The statusbar icon tweaks all require a little effort on your part for changes to take effect. All changes can be elicited with a reboot, BUT for most there are other ways:
- Bluetooth/vibrate-silent/alarm icons -- just change their state (on/off or vibrate/sound, etc)
- E911 -- Go into Settings > Location and security... you don't need to do anything else, you should see the change
- Battery/signal -- these just take time... I have yet to figure out a way to get around that - seems a Gingerbread thing...
Q: Why don't you mention blah blah blah in your FAQ? It would be helpful!
A: Because you hadn't told me yet! If you feel something should be added, PM me with exactly what you would have liked to see in the FAQ (so both the Q and the A, and with details) - I of course reserve final editing rights but if I feel the addition is warranted I will add it as close to the original PM as possible.

EDIT:
End of Support notice posted to my WIFI Only FP8 Beta Project Thread, HERE.
I also left some Tweaked Lite 1.x TweakTools enable WIFI Only Option breadcrumbs!
If you want, feel free to continue to run WIFI Only Media Player Q/A over there... or not.
...that is all...
agreed, nice work. thanks!
I can confirm that everything is in great working order (even installed the wifi only tweak thanks to Jheide).
just to share my process with others:
was on tweaked 3.2 FP5 (with the FP8 modem updaterizer provided by dwith).
backed up everything via TiBu
rebooted to recovery
mounted system
wiped cache/dalvik
wiped data/factory reset
installed tweakedliteFP8
rebooted
reinstalled apps via play market
installed wifi only tweak via terminal emulator (system did not reboot, but a reboot is necessary, so be sure to do so after exiting TE)
restored data via TiBu
a couple of observations:
- I don't get that screeching noise on video playback on videos taken with this phone - YAY!!!!
- some apps such as Google Earth will NOT download b/c the app says my system is not supported (no worries though, as I can restore the app via TiBu)
- Google Hangouts works completely (even tested video chat, and got audio)
Good to see people (dwitherell especially) are supposing the Charge. Haven't been using mine for anything more than a desk clock, but I know there are some people out there still using it and appreciating the work put into it.
A job well done by all of those involved and dwith.
I am extremely grateful for this. :good:
Thank you very much sir. My 3 charges will receive this on sunday when im back from vacation if I can pull the phones away feom my kids long enough to do it. Damn Minecraft....anyway your awesome thanks again

what lockscreen style does this one actually have?
Not sure yet if I'll install this because I'm not sureif I want to go through the hassle of restoring my phone again but thanks for all your work.
Finally I'm intrigued by your "Empty ZIP" Could I concievable take apks from TiBu and place them in that folder to get a flashable zip?

Conceivably yes, but in order to truly work it would need a little more (things in /data as opposed to /system primarily) - I would advice NOT using it for this purpose, though it could be a base to use that you could modify to do so with a little research (and trial and error... actually mostly trial and error, at least in my experience lol).
This has two lockscreens - the two I had to do nothing for to add into the rom (beyond allow the one to be accessed). Those would be the usual circle stock one and then sliding-tab AOSP one seen in the screenshot.
apps not working
Iinstalled everything as per directions but I cannot login through Gmail, any ideas?

Need a bit more info... Is there an error or something that comes up? Do you have a data/wifi connection? What if you skip the setup after initial boot and try to add the account after - maybe even after a reboot? I don't have vzw service so I have to skip the initial account setup, then connect ro wfif and add the account after connected.
apps not working
Well I installed the tweaked. Lite Tom 1.0 , withkernel and radios, but do I need to manually install the systems Apps? I cannot access Gmail even with 4g and wifi it immediately states that my email and password do not match. I also have 2 step verification on,would that be the issue with this version of Gmail? The info is correct,ie password and login. Name.

Ah, so you are ok to do things like go into playstore, yes? And the issue is just GMail? There may very well be sonething you need to do to make the 2 step verification stuff happy, but I am not aware of what it is unfortunately. Sorry for the troubles!
apps not working
No playstore, but I'm going to try and remove the 2 step verification.
---------- Post added at 12:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:54 AM ----------
On older androids With 2 step verification you need to generate a unique one time password under manage application specific passwords under >settings >security
Ending on a page labeled :
Authorized Access to your Google Account
Thanks for the update
Hopefully this will keep running strong for a while. Typically in the past when the slow-down-over-time problem happened, reflashing ROM usually fixed it for a bit of time, right?
I've gone through some times where I wanted to toss this phone at the wall.

I had the 2 step verification for a while also and it was more trouble than it was worth. I had the same issue as you and once I removed it everything was back to normal again. GL

Yeah a reflash usually fixed it. There were a few things I did in the past that I sought to avoid this time around with the thought that they were related... only time will tell though

I am in no way responsible for what you do to your phone. You take all responsibility for flashing this ROM and anything that happens with you phone!!!
*So what is Com Rom/UGB then? Basically it was the next stage in adrynalyne's superclean roms which have been going since dl09 (and since dio1 through jt1134). Its a stripped down version of touchwiz (in this case EC09 gingerbread) with enhancements/mods/themes...basically more functionality.
Highlights: (as of 0.2.1)
*includes tsm parts: see sbrissen's thread for specific mods added
*gingerbread themed (frameworks, sys ui, settings, dialer, phone, music, browser, contacts, camera..more to come)

*rooted with super user
*busybox
*tweaked minifree settings
*advanced power options
*working ec09 browser downloads
*new market
*ads blocked by host file
*6th toggle added to status bar pulldown power controls (vibrate/sound)
*clean text on toggles (auto rotation to rotation, mobile data to data)
*launcher2

*latest gapps (including google +, and google car home instead of tw version)
*overscroll glow
*aosp weather/news, deskclock
*microbes lwp, and nexus lwp
*8 tab browser (i9000, from nameless)

***SDCARD Stuff***
(This is only my opinion and may or may not help those with issues)
-i recommend properly mounting and unmounting your sdcard with each use...meaning dont just yank out the usb cord or reboot (recovery or otherwise) with the card mounted as a usb devices. Doesn't hurt anything to do this and *might* help keep your card intact.
-if you card gets borked (you see the blank sdcard/format message in android), first try and format in cwr, rather than in android or on your computer...fixed my card up, ymmv <-----nitsuj17's words!!!
Known Issues
*if you boot with usb plugged in, adb works, but debugging/usb storage wont show as available, unplug and replug ur connector
*ec09 eats sdcards...om nom nom
*MIUI lockscreen when plugged in will tend to run your processor at or near maximum mhz. (seems to do this on most phones)..you may choose not to use it when plugged in
*calendar fc on google cal apt ringtone notification (to fix this change from the default ringtone and you SHOULD be good to go)
*manage applications fc in settings
*MMS don't work for the Mesmerize yet, hopefully this will be fixed soon!!!
***MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR SDCARD ON YOUR COMPUTER***
Instructions
***again ec09 eats sdcards...use a backup card if you can!!!
Installing Com Rom
Method A (coming from voodoo froyo or eclair)
1. download rom with kernel (or have a gb kernel on sdcard to flash)
2. move to your sdcard

4. reboot to allow conversion
5. boot back into cwr
6. wipe data/cache/davlik cache (if you dont, expect issues...and also dont bother bug reporting..we wont help you!)
7. select install from sdcard
8. select rom .zip
9. reboot
10. wait 5+ minutes for phone to boot up (it takes awhile)
11. profit (or not if it bootloops)

Thanks Tator! Great work getting this out to us!
Sorry to expose my noobness here, but I thought there was a logical naming scheme for these rom versions, like ee19 is after ec10. Now this is ec09, but its GB? Does netflix work with this rom, like it does with miui?

It's a fascinate test build of gingerbread TW and must have been completed around the same time our froyo got finished up.
Has anyone actually applied this? Why was this put here and not on rootz? What is the difference between this and MIUI or CM7?

Hi all -
NOTE: This project is on permanent hold until Tasker 1.1.2 is officially released. There are lots more features that will make it much easier both from a development end and a user end to use tRUE. I regret that I can't work on this now, but there are just too many Tasker limitations to work around that will be dealt with in Tasker 1.1.2. This will hopefully be by the end of the month, but may take into mid-October.
Furthermore, Koush has locked down writing commands to recovery starting with CWM5. If your ROM uses CWM5 for its recovery, it will not be compatible with tRUE.
Introduction
Welcome to tRUE - the Tasker Recovery User interfacE. The main goal of this Tasker profile scheme is to act as a replacement for most ROM Manager Premium features.
Why tRUE? How is it better than ROM Manager?
tRUE replicates ROM Manager functionality by writing commands to /cache/recovery/extendedcommand; these commands get executed upon reboot to recovery, just like ROM Manager. But there's lots more that tRUE can do!
Automatically download and install latest CM7 nightly for your device, at a time or context of your choice! GApps flashed automatically for free!
Bulk update-flash install - great to flash kernels, fixes, and more, along with your nightly!
One-touch and scheduled backup - Click a widget and immediately perform a Nandroid backup! Or, let it run automatically every night!
Free with Tasker - Tasker's the greatest $6 app out for Android, and it can replace lots of apps you typically pay for!
TO DO: Flash profiles: Flash any set of zips you want at any time!
TO DO: One-touch Nandroid restore of latest backup!
TO DO: Simple backup management - automatically delete old auto-backups!
I'm always listening for ideas as well, please contribute to the development of this project!
What's in the ZIP
The following Tasker profiles:
tRUE-nightlywget
tRUE-nightlyMD5
tRUE-nightlyinstall
tRUE-nightlycheck
tRUE-boot
The following Tasker tasks:
tRUE-AddNewZip
tRUE-boot
tRUE-cwm
tRUE-flash_nightly
tRUE-flash_user_zip
tRUE-nandroid
tRUE-NandroidWidget
tRUE-nightlycheck
tRUE-nightlyinstall
tRUE-nightlyMD5
tRUE-nightlywget
tRUE-restorenandroid
tRUE-RestoreWidget
tRUE-SETUP
tRUE-s_volts_scheduler
tRUE-UPGRADE
tRUE-wget_gapps
tRUE-wipe_cache
The folder "tRUE", which contains:
folder "download" - contains gapps-gb-20110729-signed.zip, and will contain your downloaded nightlies
folder "scripts" - contains checkupdate.sh, flashzip.sh, install_nightly.sh, nandroid.sh, wipe_cache.sh, get_CWM.sh, s_volts_scheduler.sh
Requirements
Tasker 1.1+, available on the Android Market or Tasker website
Secure Settings Plugin, available on the Android Market
For now, ROM Manager (free or premium) - I only need this for the directories it creates, I'll do it myself later
Coming from tRUE 2.1.1?
See this post; download the scripts folder and replace yours with this. It corrects some issues if you have a CWM that was both detected by ROM Manager and is not CWM2.x or 3.x.
Installation
Make sure you're already running a CM7-based ROM. tRUE does NOT wipe /data and perform the first-time-install instructions for your device; if you try to do so, you might brick!
In Tasker, click Menu->Preferences->Misc and check the box "Allow External Access". This allows Tasker to pass arguments to the shell scripts run by Secure Settings Plugin.
UPGRADING USERS: Delete all old tRUE profiles and tasks. (Sorry about the tedious installation! It'll be more streamlined in the future.)
Download the attached ZIP. Place the tRUE folder in the root your SD Card. (UPGRADING USERS: it will suffice to replace the scripts folder with the one from the zip.) Place *.tsk.xml in /sdcard/Tasker/tasks . Place *.prf.xml in /sdcard/Tasker/profiles.
Open Tasker, hit the Menu Button->Profile Data->"Import One Task". Import the 19 tasks. (WOW THAT'S ALOT! It's what you get with awesome functionality )
Repeat previous step, but with profiles. Import the 5 profiles.
Exit Tasker by hitting the check-mark. This will save the profiles and tasks.
NEW USERS: Re-enter Tasker, the click Tasks and select "tRUE-SETUP". Click the play button.
UPGRADING USERS: Re-enter Tasker, then click Tasks and select "tRUE-UPGRADE". Click the play button.
Download the GApps package below and place in /sdcard/tRUE/download. Or, run the task "tRUE-wget_gapps"
Edit the "tRUE-nightlycheck" profile to suit your needs - currently it'll fire every day at 4am, if your device is powered.
Setup will try to automatically detect your device's CM7 codename; if it can't, enter the codename (i.e., cdma_droid2, vibrantmtd, glacier, etc)
Create the tRUE widgets - on your home screen, long-press, then click "Widgets"->Tasker->Tasks->tRUE.
Usage
When a new nightly is available, tRUE will automatically wget the zip and leave it in /sdcard/tRUE/download . You can skip this process if you download the zip yourself and place it in that folder. It then performs an MD5 check; if the check succeeds, it writes commands to /cache/recovery/extendedcommand to perform a Nandroid backup; wipe your cache and dalvik-cache; flash the nightly; flash the GApps package; and flash any zip you provide. See below.
Use tRUE-AddNewZip to add update-flashables to your nightly installation. I install Glitch Kernel and my own Software GPS Fix for my Vibrant. tRUE looks at /sdcard/tRUE/toflash.txt and installs zips in order. You can either use tRUE-AddNewZip or manually edit this file.
Limitations and Bugs
Currently tRUE-nightlywget is kind of slow - I tried to provide download percentage so you don't patiently wait wondering how long the download will take, but this seems to actually slow down wget, and sometimes wget actually quits out. I can't replicate this all the time.. I might have to just remove the download percentage indicator. Sorry!
AFAIK, all variants of CM7 run on ClockworkMod3+; I only provide commands to use CWM3+. If you're running CM7 and are on CWM2 or below, please let me know ASAP so I can include functionality.
It seems that if you abort a script via the Secure Settings plugin notification (it fires when I use a script), no more scripts will fire until after a reboot. I am working with the developer of the plugin to see if it's a true bug or an issue between keyboard and chair.
Right now, tRUE-nightlycheck will run the entire download and install process even if it couldn't detect you were on CM7. If you're not running a CM7-based ROM, YOU MIGHT BRICK UPON TRYING TO USE tRUE. FOLLOW THE CM7 FIRST-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO USE tRUE.
To Do
Only enable vibration when user presses the tRUE-nightlycheck widget - this way the user can sleep soundly without his phone vibrating in the middle of the night
Manage deletion of old nightlies - maybe keep 2 or 3, but delete older ones?
Menu-driven interface to more ROM Manager-esque - one widget to access all functions, instead of many
Add "flash profiles" - allows you to quickly go from vanilla CM7 to MIUI to some other CM7-based ROM, while flashing all your extras for you
Add one-touch Nandroid restore widget
on setup, create clockworkmod folders (to store backups) if it doesn't already exist
Add profile to perform automatic Nandroid backups
If I helped improve your CM7 experience, PLEASE hit the Thanks button! Or even better, donate This has been a really fun project for me and I hope my work helps you too!

COMING IN NEXT VERSION
I'm going to start using SL4A to do the heavy lifting. Writing for Tasker is exhausting and difficult. No new features will be added until V3, when everything will be written with Perl/bash; Tasker will be used only to support the Perl scripts. This gives me the ability to really use UI (show download progress, list cool menus, etc), and improve my own sanity! I get to write in a real programming language!
V2.1.x will contain bugfixes as reported by the community.
bug fix: S_volts_scheduler not restored correctly on new flash still - workaround in progress
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why is the install process so tedious?
A: Tasker was designed to be very extensible, but wasn't designed to be able to run what some might call an app. There is discussion to implement mass-import of tasks and profiles in future versions of Tasker.

Q: JESUS CHRIST, 24 DIFFERENT THINGS TO IMPORT!?
A: See above. You're getting what's essentially a ROM Manager Premium replacement for free! If you wanted easy-to-use with no freedom to customize, go buy an iPhone

Q: Why do I need Secure Settings plugin? Why didn't you use Locale Execute plugin?
A: With Locale Execute Plugin, running commands as root requires granting permission to every single command that uses it. People got around that by writing all possibly needed commands into a single shell script, then used Tasker to pass arguments back and forth. SSP in the end makes the install process easier for the user. It also lets me look at exit codes and capture STDERR and STDOUT - both tasks are much more difficult than necessary using Locale Execute.

Q: Why are the icons so ugly!? Couldn't you pick better ones?
A: I could have - but that requires that users have Tasker icon packs installed, and in the end icon packs are just for aesthetics - I don't think making it a requirement to install more stuff before you get to play with tRUE just to make icons look pretty is worth it. You're free to change the icons, though!

Q: Why should I use tRUE instead of ROM Manager Pro!? It seems like a lot of work (both for me to install and you to develop) to replicate a well-known app.
A: Tasker is AWESOME is why. It's $6.50 on the Market (or $5 if you buy it directly from the developer), and that's the best 6.50 you could possibly spend. I replicate so many app functionalities with it, it probably saved me a good $15 in the long run. Contrast to RMP, which is $6 and only manages your ROMs. Not that that's a bad thing! A lot of apps are out there that let you control basic stuff on your phone - but Tasker can replicate the functionality of a LOT of apps out there. This started mostly as an exercise to see how far I could push Tasker.

A: I appreciate the gesture Really all I need from you is to push the Thanks button and post with your experience, questions, comments, bug reports, etc. If you're feeling REALLY generous, hit the donate button I do this in my spare time because it's fun and I love Tasker. I don't expect anything in return for me sharing the work that I would have done anyway.

Updated to v1.1. Found a bug where the device name was not being passed correctly to the shell script; also turned on Secure Settings notifications for debug purposes. Please re-download and try it out if you've had problems with V1.
update to v1.2, fixed bug where gapps package was accidentally deleted after new nightly found
Many thanks, this sounds awesome, will give it a go, though I have already purchased the rommanager premium (just for nightlies actually).
Looking forward to seeing more advanced useful profiles, I'm loving tasker as well.
This is pretty neat, I'm testing it on my Droid X right now.
I don't suppose there's any way to implement some sort of progress bar for the download? It's basically a wait-and-find-out process right now.

I can't do a progress bar, but I think I can do a toast notification of how much of the file was currently downloaded..
I plan on doing a rewrite with more robust options and capabilities, but it's kind of on the backburner for right now..
Let me know if you run into errors, please! I'm kind of surprised more people aren't using this setup..

In Tasker, just hit the Plus sign on the bottom to start a new profile. Then select the first context you want the download check to fire. Like I said, I have mine set to fire at 4am every day. Then, set CM7_AutoInstall as the task to perform. Finally, long-press the first context once the profile is created to add more. I only want to have downloads happen when I'm power is connected.
Thanks, I guessed that was the way, but just wanted to be sure. Now looking forward to seeing CM7 build 16 today or tomorrow to test this. Will post my results. Many thanks again, nice work.
Another question, does it flash it directly over the existing build, or could you think of something to wipe cache before? I always wipe cache and dalvik as instructed in Q&A in CM thread.

Ok, my first report.
First, as a new build was released I tried to test the task directly, but after some minutes, I cancelled the script. Then, I browsed to the CM7 folder and I saw the build 9 downloaded there (I am on 15, and the new one was 16).
I thought it was because I cancelled the script, so I deleted the zip there, and placed instead my actual build i.e 15.
Re-ran the task again, all good, it d\l and flashed the rom on my phone, but instead of having build 16 on my phone, it was the build 9, (from 30/07).
So there must be a bug, I assume.
Just wanted to let you know, hope you'll fix it as I'd love to use it.
Sorry for my English

Im on Samsung Galaxy S2.
Nice catch. I just looked at the mirror page for your device.. Since 9 is a single digit, it's the last link on the page. I assumed that the last link is always the latest mirror.
If you try again tomorrow or the next day it should work, since eventually Build 9 will be removed from the page. I'll try to work on this this week (along with the rewrites).

The last couple times I tried the script, it will start the download and pop up with "Download completed with errors" a few minutes later (not long enough to actually finish the download) and then reboot and try to install the failed package. CWM fails the hash check and reboots normally.

Thanks for the catch. I check the MD5 before I reboot into download mode, and it's supposed to error out if the check fails.
All, I will try to have V2 released this weekend. Life's a bit hectic right now and frankly there wasn't a whole lot of interest in this project from the community before, so nobody tested for me all this stuff.. thanks for the help!

I would hope not.
One suggestion: I use Rom Manager Janitor to clean up old backups on boot so I only have ~3 or so, but it specifically looks for the naming system that Rom Manager uses so it doesn't delete manual backups. Could you use the same naming convention or do you just pass the "backup" command to CWM and let it do its own thing?
Otherwise, I'd rather stick with RM's backup and just have this script flash the nightly.
The notifications that SecureSettings throws up (not the ongoing, but the one-off errors and such) don't activate the Clear button in the dropdown window so I have to click it to clear them. It's probably an issue with SecureSettings but I thought I'd let you know.
Finally, I have two gapps zips in the AutoCM7 folder. 20110613 and 201106130. Can I delete one?
Update on my issue: I'm going to try and get a screenshot of the error message that the download spits out. It shows the download hit 100% but the file size keeps increasing until ~102mb, then the md5 check fails. Manually downloading (i.e. via rom manager) works fine.
Screenshots:
http://i.imgur.com/Ix4jo.png
http://i.imgur.com/0BPBJ.png
http://i.imgur.com/a8Vn9.png
As you can see, the download hits 100% about halfway through the actual filesize. The MD5 of the downloaded file actually matches the md5 on the nightly site, but it says the md5 fails. Manually selecting the zip with Rom Manager works just fine.
Hi,
I have been in contact with Bertans through his LEANdroid thread and through private message and we have been working on a bit of a mod for LEANdroid. Basically people want OC/UC and the rest of the goodness from other roms.
It is a mod of LEANdroid 11.10.2 and has a few extra bits over and above that rom. Now has a kernel custom compiled by me from aorth's kernel source.
Includes:
LEANdroidMOD_6
-2.2.2 Thailand rom base, newer and has the mystical .2 instead of .1!
-NOMA kernel from before
-Custom Ubuntu and Jura fonts because they look better than the ugly android ones
-Not compatible with previous 2.2.1 releases (up to LDM 5)
-This is for testing, not sure if it is compelling enough as an upgrade over LDM5 as I am going to include fonts in LDM 5 too.
-Still has old market, but it will auto update, may update it in a future release.
-Has XDA anti malware patch set up in installer.
LEANdroidMOD_5
-Custom kernel based of NOMA source
-Very custom smartass cpu profile setup, seems fast and battery efficient
-24/12/12, now has Ubuntu and Jura fonts and XDA anti malware patch in installer
-Otherwise similar to before
Previous
-Android 2.2.1+ LEANdroid 11.10.2+
-OC/UC 30mhz to 691mhz. Defaults to 30mhz and 600mhz- Fusion Kernel.
-Smartass and interactive governers. Default is ondemand.
-164MB free space.
-Some custom sounds.
-Fusion kernel 122mhz and 600mhz by default.
-Busybox
-NOfrills cpu control installed by default.
-Tweaked memory management
Everything that worked on LEANdroid should still work up to LDM 5 but it has a more spicy kernel and a few more tweaks. Please backup first as I cant be responsible if it doesn't work or you lose stuff. As these builds are just LEANdroid with a different kernel and a tweak or two, you should be able to get away with just flashing it over your existing LEANdroid install and just wipe cache and dalvic cache.

Looks Good!
Great job - I'm excited - will try tomorrow. What keyboard and launcher is this running?
I will try it (I am excited about it).
Still dun understand why everyone say about abd driver in install procedure when all is done on phone and phone sdcard.
Is running standard android keyboard and launcher pro just like LEANdroid.
Think the adb part is just to get clockwork mod on there. You can also use rom manager if you want, although that seemed to be playing up last time I installed it. if you play a bit more you can also use fastboot, but I have not tried that yet. Im still running CWM 3 installed ages ago using rom manager.
Any idea how to get extended "Phone options" when i press power button.
Like reboot, etc not just the 3: Silent, Airplane, Power Off ??
Thx.
It is something to do with custom frameworks. Have not explored that much as yet. Trying to get the kernel good and fast for a start and then can look at custom looks for later.
Hangs at Android logo
I had just finished flashing LeanDroid when I noticed your (what I like to call) "LeanDroid on Steroids" (on Steroids due to being overclocked). I had been thinking if I were to right a ROM, this would be it...so...I was jazzed. I spent all day trying things over and over and can't get it installed. It just hangs at the "Android" screen. I had to install something so went back to regular LeanDroid and installed it again with no problems. I did everything you suggested including the wipe and the new CWM to no avail. Did anybody else get it installed?
Oh, ok... interesting. will have to do a wipe and flash and see what is going on at some stage. Have been developing it as I go on my phone, so possibly it works as I have been flashing kernels and such over existing builds.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Does CWM give any errors with installing?
Im guessing you are reasonable experienced with flashing, but how long did you leave it for on the android screen?
is this the android animation screen or the boot splash?
Does the MD5 hash match?
Thanks for helping test this, hopefully can get some more info and testing done to work out what is going on here.
heh, just flashed it from fresh and no dice, boot loop. trying to suss it now.
Going to upload a more basic build which is just leandroid+ kernel. Just tested on fresh install and it boots fine. Link will be updated in the first post.
Paul
Ok, take 2... try the new mod which is in the original post. It is straight LEANdroid+fusion kernel.
CWM gives no errors. Not heavy enough to know the meaning of "MD5 hash match" but also not fresh out of the box; I gave it at least 5 minutes on the "Android" screen (don't know if that's called the animation or boot splash); regular LeanDroid takes almost exactly 2 minutes so I thought 5 should be long enough. Will try the new one now. If doesn't work it will take me a little while to get back to you about it because I'll have to reinstall a working ROM so I can connect and reply. Here goes.
PS: I'm not doing this for fun; I just wanted a fast & lean ROM because I found myself demanding a lot of my little IDEOS and she was getting intolerably slow...am I'm really exhausted from trying to come up to speed on all this over the last few weeks...so...I want to be finished with this now...so...when you do any future updates (in gratitude for my help ) if it's even possible, could you please make sure it catches this LEANdroidMOD_2 so I don't have to do anything else to have your final version? I'd really appreciate it. Here goes. I'll let you know what happens.
OK. It loaded. Took 2 minutes just like plain LeanDroid. I went straight to the app drawer to play with NoFrills but it's not there. I realize you probably "lightened" this one as a troubleshooting tool to get her working. I just installed NoFrills and it does offer the 691MHz of the custom kernel. Sorry for asking you to educate me but:
1. Is it very advantageous to have NoFrills (or any desired apps) built in to the ROM instead of installed separately and if so, why?
2. Should I go 691, 122, ondemand, & deadline or what?
3. Should wait before I start heavily customizing my homescreens with postits, etc. because this prelim version won't be updated?
4. Is there a way to update to a more final version without losing my homepage customizations?
Thanks for the (I say best) ROM and any educating you give.
Hey Paulynator, thanks for your patience. Leandroidmod_2 was a very quick build to get things moving as I had to build something to get my phone working after the first rom didn't boot in testing! Will upload another build with busybox by default and a couple of small mods today. Problem came from data/app, so ditched that and put apps into /system/app.
Questions:
1)Not really, I just like it, others may prefer setcpu or something else instead.
2)You go with what you feel happy and doesnt crash your phone, try 652 and 60 first, then go higher and lower if it is working fine. Just leave apply on boot unchecked in nofrills until everything is working fine. Ondemand and deadline will be fine.
3)Updates should be able to be installed without a wipe.
4)Just install zip in CWM over your install, sorry, I cant promise anything though.
Thanks
Paul
Ok, take 3. everything from 2+busybox and some custom bits. Tested on my phone and it boots fine with a total wipe. Hopefully wont need to do a total wipe, but have not tested flashing over an existing install.
For question #1, I didn't mean NoFrills as opposed to SetCPU or something else; I'm asking if it's very advantageous to have desired apps built in to the ROM instead of installed separately and if so, why?
Paul,
Report on LEANdroidMOD_3 (a.k.a. LeanDroidOnSteroids, c'mon, it rhymes!) (or even "cleaner": SteroidLeanDroid. If I say so myself, awesome title for an awesome ROM...to me.)
Installed over version #2 w/o wipe seems to be ok...to the extent that I started the process of recluttering (restoring) my Ideos as though "she's a keeper", i.e. no more wiping; the records stay intact from now on.
Paul

Sorry to hit you with 3 since your last but since we have a "hard"/permanent Home button right below the screen, is the redundant one at the bottom of the app drawer removable from a menu or would I have to mod the rom to remove it?

Doesnt matter one way or the other, I just liked it built in. Only possible advantage is that some apps in /system/app wont use space in /data/app, but this is lost the moment you update them as updates seem to install into /data/app. So my Leandroid with nofrills in /system/app still gives 164mb free space in data partition until things get updated.
Good work, thanks for the update that it can be installed over a previous install.
Home button is part of launcher pro. on the home screen, hit menu>preferences>appearance settings>uncheck home button on app drawer.

Just found a possible glitch. Don't know if it's the ROM so tried the obvious things to no avail. The camera app (any camera app; I tested the problem by downloading and trying others) won't access the gallery. In the stock app, the little preview window (that tapping opens the picture in the main window) won't open the picture. It gives an error message saying "app initialize failed. please download the app from the market". The app isn't in the market so I d/l'd 2 other camera apps and they both did the same. Using Root Explorer to try to open a picture also wouldn't work. Could you please try to access the gallery on a phone you've installed your ROM on and let me know if it works? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Works fine on mine. Try go to the market and update Quickpic. It does not like being in /system/app so if you update it, it should work. It was one of the reasons I tried to put it in a data/app from the start, but that caused bigger problems like the rom not booting.
I could also put the stock gallery back in alongside quickpic if needed but it does not have multitouch.
So here we go I can say finally I managed to produce firs custom rom for our beloved HTC One S C2 (I called it this way cause that is how on gsmarena.net is presented). If we ever get a sub forum this is how I suggest it is called. It is not very special rom, but it is a start. cause I don't like bloatware on my phone, I've tried to remove as many unnecessary stuff as I could remember, and I could miss.
Since this is my very first rom I've build with kitchen (for public use at least), don't be to harsh on me. I will try to improve it, and remove even more sens components, cause I just prefer stock experience.
You will need android sdk on you computer (you may know it as adb shell)
REQUIREMENTS
Unlocked Bootloader and Root access
TWRP Recovery
INSTALLATION
1. Download the ROM, extract only boot.img where you have android-sdk installed installed in folder platform-tools
2. Make a backup of your apps with Titanium backup or other similar app (so that you can restore them after flashing my rom)
3. Boot into Recovery (with GooManager, or restart phone and hold volume down, when in fastboot choose recovery with volume down and press power button)
4. Make a BACKUP in recovery!
5. WIPE! Do a factory reset and System wipe
6. "install zip from sdcard"
7. "choose zip from sdcard"
8. Flash the ROM
9. Go back to the main menu of recovery, choos reboot, and then reboot to bootloader.
10. Flash kernel with Command prompt (go into direcotry where you have extracted boot.img) and run:
(step by step guide)
Short version:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
11. Wait until android boots up, it will take a few mintues (5-10), because it is deodexed, but only first boot takes longer after that it is normal.
What is working:
Since this is sense based rom all the functionality should work (calling, texting, mobile data, GPS, wifi, bluetooth, camera, etc)
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS:
- There might be some reports of some services stop executing, this is nothing to worry about, it would just be something that I have removed cause it is only sens based and drains battery, but it should impact with phone experience.
- Due to all HTC widgets removal, not all the lockscreen options are functional (like people).
FUTURE:
I hope I'll have time and the will to make this rom to look and feel almost as an AOSP based (that is with statusbar, lockscreen, dialer, settings, etc). But I am still learning so don't expect to much. If there is themer among you or modder, I would really apperaciate some help with this stuff. Together we can make this something ! I would also need some mirror if this rom will become popular.
WARRINING:
This rom is for HTC One S with S3 processor only!!!
Flashing any kind of custom rom voids your warranty, and it could brick your phone. I am not responsible if this happens to you. So you flash this software completely at your own risk!
That being said here is the download link.
BackToBasics_v1
BackToBasics_v2:
(you have to downloade both rar files in sam folder and then extract from .part1, it will extract flashable .zip)
PART 1
PART 2
BackToBasics_V3
If you are coming from lower version of this rom, just make backup, wipe cache, flash rom and you are good to go. No need to factory reset (data wipe) or system wipe in this case

Is this mode available for One S? This would be first thing I would like to change for sure :good:
There is some info HERE
Try this WIFI fix and report if it works. I am gonna test soon. And if it does I will include it in next version.

Well, here we are. One of the (in my opinion at least) most prestigious custom ROMs for the SK4G changing hands yet again. Now, before people come out and call me a ROM developer, I am FAR from any sort of developer(I can't code anything substantial. Only small things in bash, PHP, Ruby, and possibly Python). I'll gladly call myself a ROM maintainer, however. As my bio in my profile says, I'm a do-it-yourselfer. If I can't get it done myself without a minimal amount of headache/frustration, then is when I call on the aid of someone else.
Credits, of course, go to PDT(Platypus Dev Team for the new people) for the initial release of Glorious Overdose, Dr Honk for the Bali kernel, nxd for the latest Bali kernel build which removes the keylogger, TheLastSidekick for GOv3 and for allowing me to continue his continuation of the Glorious Overdose legacy, anyone who helped with GOv1 - GOv3, the devs of the apps I've included(CM based or stock), and lastly you, the end-user, who keeps this ROM alive with the feedback and ideas you give.
Using this ROM means you are responsible if you brick your device without checking mounts, so don't PM me whining that I owe you a new SK4G, because one, you voluntarily used it, and two, I simply do not have that kind of money to buy everyone who claims this ruined their only phone.
First time flashers: READ THIS NEXT SECTION CAREFULLY. PLEASE DON'T PM OR REPLY HERE SAYING LINDA KEEPS SAYING "Convert data partition, system not available...Convert system partition, system not available.". The only fix for this is to use ODIN or Heimdall One-Click to go back to stock and reflash using Orange CWM and making SURE your mounts look exactly like the section that speaks of Orange CWM.
Experienced Flashers: You already know the drill, but read ahead to double check.
To quote the thread from GOv3.3 on the mounts.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW OF ANY BUGS, so I CAN ATTEMPT TO FIX THEM!
CHECK YOUR MOUNTS, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!
Thanks to ayoteddy!
- Put zip file in your /sdcard
- Reboot into cwm recovery
- Wipe Data/Factory Reset
- Wipe Cache Partition
(Optional but recommended to prevent any minor issues)-Wipe Dalvik Cache from advanced menu in CWM
Click to collapse
*Now before you Flash, Only if you are on the orange CWM, (Not RED voodoo CWM from Bali) if on red CWM ignore the mounts/unmount part*
MAKE SURE YOUR MOUNTS LOOK LIKE THIS: (Go to mounts and storage from CWM recovery)
UNMOUNT CACHE
MOUNT DATA
MOUNT SDCARD
UNMOUNT SYSTEM - this is the ONLY mount you pay mind to, not Sdcard or anything else
- Now its safe to Flash the .zip
Click to collapse
(AGAIN IGNORE UNLESS IF YOU ARE ON A RED VOODOO RECOVERY) after you flash, go back to mounts and storage and make sure your mounts look like this
UNMOUNT CACHE
MOUNT DATA
UNMOUNT SDCARD
UNMOUNT SYSTEM
(Optional but recommended)-Wipe Cache then Wipe Dalvik Cache from advanced menu in CWM before Rebooting.
(To First Time installers, System Needs to be set to Unmount, though it would really be mounted. If you do Not do this you will have a softbrick and will have to ODIN to stock and start all over ....) Once you have Flashed a Custom ROM or Bali 2.2 Kernel you dont have to worry about mounts

Screenshots? Sure. I'll oblige(Only took 2. One of ADW Launcher and one of the about screen in the Settings app, but will include a gif of the original GOv2 bootanimation for people who don't know what I'm talking about/don't feel like sifting through the forums.)
For those of you who use irssi on device(meaning you use the binary cross-compiled for ARM use), here's an easy fix if it isn't working for you.
Credit goes to happy from Rizon's IRC network(screenshot above is from his device, a Droid 4, iirc. NOT from a new GO look, sorry.)
If I don't reply to any questions here in a timely fashion, come find me on IRC in #GloriousOverdose on irc.rizon.net
In terminal, do uname -a. New hostname init.d script also serves as a type of sysinfo script for the SK4G(minus RAM and resolution and all that. Just OS and Kernel as of now.) and is useful when using IRSSI(do /exec -o uname -a in IRSSI to show the world that you are using Glorious Overdose. ^-^)
For those who want a little AOSP goodness, here is the 2.2 AOSP Launcher2.apk. Just set in /system/app and make the apks permissions the same as all the rest there. This is thanks to xanium4332.
Awesome! Excited about this
So you released like 3 or 4 roms kind of around the same time.. any comment about which one is the fastest or most stable? Are you still working on/updating the other ones like tigerfusion, tigerblood, etc? I'm on GOV3.3 right now and I'm happy with it except for the reboot problem while using maps/navigation. I'm not really sure which one to try but I like the way I have everything setup so I don't want to flash anything that cant be used as a daily driver yet. Thats why I'm excited about this one because it seems to be closest to what I'm using now.
As for the changes - is it any faster or "better" than v3.3?
Many of them seem like things we can do ourselves: I also ditched lightning launcher for launcherpro or adw, and got rid of or added some of the apps I liked. Personally I don't think amazon appstore should be on the rom, whoever wants it can just downloaded it right? Also I prefer quickpic to the 3d gallery as its much faster and doesn't crash. Is this 3d gallery a different one? (most of these things were just personal preference, i don't mind changing them myself after flashing the rom)
So the main things I think are the scripts/lagfix and a few theme tweaks.. Not really sure about PMR and the OTA stuff.. can you explain that?
but overall thanks for keeping this phone alive and giving it some hope and activity!
Well, I didn't really do much for TigerFusion, TigerBlood, or DangerZone apart from provide the lagfix script and bounce ideas off of the creator of the roms, RicAndroid. So, this, essentially is my first custom ROM release.
The 3D Gallery is, indeed, probably the crashy one. But it's because the ICS Gallery I wanted to include wouldn't work and QuickPic, imo, strayed too far from the original Glorious Overdose, which is the look/feel I'm trying to maintain while minimizing lag and other unpleasantries. But, yes, it is encouraged to mod it after flashing to further personalize the experience, but then I can't provide as clear of support when apps are added/removed from what I've release. So it's up to the user, in the end.
As for the inclusion of Amazon AppStore, that's based on it being, imo, the second most used AppStore for Android after Google Play. I mean, I don't own any apps from Google Play but I own some on Amazon. I can't use some of them without Amazon AppStore installed and signed in. If I could import purchases from Amazon to Google Play, I wouldn't include it(Yes, it's a personal preference). Like I own SetCPU. The version in the Amazon AppStore is 2.3.0.7(iirc) and the version in Google Play is 3.0.7. Dunno why the first hasn't been updated yet, but meh.
The OTA Updater will be like any normal OTA Update, but aimed specifically for custom roms(this one most likely being the first to have it implimented, hopefully it will be the first to use it too). Meaning whenever I push an update to the OTA Updater Center Pro, it'll push a notification to you which will allow your to Download and Update or Just download and just update manually via CWM(which is what I'll recommend because I'm unsure of how the app handles CWM recovery itself atm)
PMR is a collection of tweaks/scripts that were compiled first into an AROMA package installer and then ported to an apk format. The audio engines, sadly are incompatible with this phone until someone ports the kernel of Android 4.x or higher for the SK4G. Everything else works as far as I know.
And hold on to your hat. I'm in the process of creating the update.zip and testing it myself before I upload to MediaFire and submitting it to OTA Update Center Pro's database. I'll also be keeping an updated link here for people who are uneasy about the OTA feature and for those who ODIN'd and didn't keep a copy of the one they started on to flash and then update to the newest version. So far, all that I've done is in the changelog. And no, there won't be a LITE/LEAN version. I don't feel the need to create two version of the same ROM. Besides, this is essentially GOv3.3(LEAN) with the above changes.
Let it begin.... a new age of Sidekick cookers. THIS LOOKS HOT, MAN
Very sexy
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Just checked the OTA app. It downloads fine. And I think it works because I grabbed the direct link from my MediaFire upload by right clicking on the download button on the page and used that URL. Dunno if it works day after day. And I don't know how well it handles the flashing itself because I feel a manual boot into recovery and manual flashing is the safest bet. Until I or another ROM maintainer can confirm that it does the flash flawlessly, stick to a CWM restore, please.
Because the OTA Update Center also displays the version, I removed the v4.0 from the build number and only the OTA Update Center version will change. The Build Number shows Glorious Overdose now, versus the old way in the screenshots.
Either way, enjoy GOv4.0. I know I am, and I'm the one who rolled this build of Glorious Overdose out. Now I look at my phone with pride, knowing I'm using my own creation and out there, someone else is enjoying it like I am. Such a satisfying feeling.
If you have a dedicated SK4G that you wish to test the latest build of Glorious Overdose with, PM me and I will give you instructions on how to turn your GOv4.x build into a dev/tester build that will get updates long before the public one does. I have 2 testers so far. Myself and RicAndroid. I think a total of either 5 or 10 testers should be sufficient to get things rolling. For those of you who still have GOv2 or GOv3 and haven't grabbed this yet and wish to enjoy OTA goodness, wait a day or two and I should have an update.zip to give you that pleasure of updating OTA.
That's all I have for now.

Well, some apps, like the Gallery app(back when I could find it in the Play Store) and the Jelly Bean Keyboard cost money, but I included them because the free versions either didn't provide the functionality that I thought Glorious Overdose should have or just refused to work completely and I don't have a bank account or a credit card to purchase apps/credit from Google Play so I couldn't include my copies even if I had them.
I tried to keep the paid apps I included to a minimum. The only paid apps I can spot myself are the two I mentioned above. All the other ones are the free version because they work and provide the right amount of functionality for the ROM.
You should remove them. Warez are not allowed on XDA.
Fair enough. I'll revert back to QuickPic and JellyBean Keyboard free. If the mods will give me time to do so before they take action, that is. I can't do that as of now because tired and late, but thanks for the heads up(honestly didn't know[don't really read rules, just try to use common sense. Guess getting frustrated that the Free JB KB didn't wanna work and I couldn't find the free version of the 3D Gallery on the Play Store got the best of me]). Those and a new battery will be in the first OTA update available(And I'll even update the OP's link to 4.0.1 for anti-warez purposes).
EDIT: Had some moron texting me about some court stuff when I hadn't gotten anything in the mail about court appearances. So, I've been up for a bit and am getting an OTA update ready/OP update link sans the new battery. It'll be live in about an hour or so.

Rule of thumb is: No downloads, not fit for the development board.
That being said... 24 hours are enough to re-pack a ROM so it doesn't contain warez anymore?
Yes? Start the clocks...
Oh sorry I meant to direct my post towards both you and RicAndroid. So RicAndroid feel free to respond to the parts which were more relevant to you.
And I'm kinda confused, is 4.0.1 live and available to download? Its there on the changelog but I don't see a link anywhere..
and thanks for switching back to quickpic!
Edit: I just saw it was on Fixing/updating.. I'll wait
QuickPic is my app of choice....the Gallery is fine but it gets buggy sometimes.
This rom is sweet, BTW. The warez thing is not allowed, yeah....but there are plenty of fully functional free apps out there. Like ES File Explorer (which can be given root permissions), Touchpal keyboard (which is the best alternative to SwiftKey).
I'm currently porting the Bi-Winning Redux ICS framework...the correct way this time using GIMP with those 9.png files. It is looking beautiful so far. I will also jump on board the OTA thing this weekend.
Good stuff, dude. Keep up the fine work!

Well, as of now, the update is unofficial(the build.prop is the same but changed the OTA version because it's unofficial until I figure out how to get Quick Pic and Terminal emulator to work as system apps.). I can't get QuickPic to work unless I install as a user app and then move to the system apps and that only works AFTER installing it. But, yeah, gonna go update the OP with a link to the unoffical OTA Update. Those who have the warez version, just go to the OTA Updater app, check updates, hit download, and hit home and do whatever you want, but check the file on the SDCard at /sdcard/OTA-Updater/download/glorious_overdose_.zip or something similar and make sure it reaches 177MiB.
Edit: Forgot to mention, this "update", although shown as 4.0.1 isn't the final update to 4.0.1...once I figure out how to get QuickPic and Terminal Emulator to work as a System app and switch to ES File Explorer from ASTRO(Because ES allows root access and ASTRO doesn't) then the real 4.0.1 will be out. Until then, ignore the faux update notice if you already updated. That or you can change your build.prop and change it back when it is completely fixed.
Also @B.Jay I've been using 7zip to pull/add/change files is in a re-zipped GOv3.3. So, it only took a matter of minutes but I was almost passing out when I replied to how_weird about removing the warez stuff. I don't know enough about the OS to create an update.zip from scratch.
Got D4 Update.zip creator now. So, yeah. Works.
Thanks for posting. When my wife leaves her phone alone and is sleeping I will flash this. Could be a day or two, she hates me messing with her phone.
How_Weird is to weird?

Lol. I know how it is. Just because 2 instances with my friends devices...he doesn't wanna root or jailbreak ever. I've finally convinced him to let me update his LePanII tablet to ICS and possibly root it.
At any rate, wait to grab it until later tonight or early tomorrow. Testing a possible fix for QuickPic and Terminal Emulator not wanting to work in the unofficial OTA update.
freakin awesome rom!
anxiously awaiting the link for 4.0.1 to rematerialize !
Well, the link is back up. Oh, and just an FYI. If there are changes in the changelog here but no OTA update showing...most likely I'm getting the update ready and am showing what I have done to the update.
yay! Loving it
Flashed this a few hours ago, finished restoring my apps and getting things set up the way i want them. Works great so far.. we'll see how it goes within the next few days
Thanks!
No problem. Hopefully I don't get fed up trying to find a way to update the su binary along with ROM releases and just say that users should update it on their own. Getting close, though.
