The new charger has probably cooked the battery, fairly easy/cheap job to replace the battery and worth doing.

[Q] Battery Issues

Hello,
Since about the last month every time my battery dies completely it takes for ever (at least a couple of hours) before I can turn it back on.
When I plug it into the charger the orange light that is supposed to come on when it charges doesnt come on.
I have unlocked the bootloader and am running the Viper One S rom with CWM.
Do you guys think this is a software problem or is it the Hardware ?
Thanks for the help !

I figured out the more biger problem with charging, Phone want to charge only when is turned off, they wont charge when is turned on,actualy, they showing me that they charging but it dont doing it.
I dont know how to bette explain it cuz my english is realy bad
Point is that if i connect them to charger they only show me message that they charging, and stay on that level in percentagle (for example 2%) untill they turn off and die,and then when is turned off i connect them to charger and they start to charging normaly
That killing me when i need to turn them off due charging
Similar Problem

I had a similar problem when i bought a Samsung knock-off android from eBay. The phone was cheap so i decided to get it, it also kinda looked like an over-sized s4 so it was thing and over all looked good. At first when i started using it was that it was not too bad, considering i only paid around two hundred dollars.
After a few weeks i started noticing the phone had a lot of problems. The screen froze a lot and my battery also had chargin issues. Sometimes it would charge and sometime it wouldn't (and then my alarm wouldn't go off in the morning and i would be late for work).
My advice is to stay away from china no-name phones. Unless you just want to use for short period of time or as a toy, it's better to pay the difference and get a brand name phone with warranty if you want to use it on a day-to-day basis.

Charging problem

I have my galaxy note 10.1 N8000, not powered on for so long. Aftr like three months i decided to power it on as i wanted to use it, sadly it did not... Other time it stucked in samsung logo not going any further. Now when i try to charge it only the battery icon appear in the middle of the screen but it won't give the charging animation just only tge battery icon... If i try to boot it keep on restarting and restarting just ending at samsung boot logo... Any idea wot could be the problem and how i can fix this
Try a 24 hour charge try a USB charge .
Or replace battery .
I tried to leave the charge on the tablet for almost a day.. But it wil stil not charger and i tried to flash it but the tablet won't let me enter thw recovery mode it always restart...

galaxy note 10.1 not charging + other devices...
first note .... I'm nt a developer or otherwise... but I have studied batteries for 3 years professionally ... and as I found out .. to re initialise your battery in this device ... ( I have done this several times ) you need to open the device and disconnect the battery... then reconnect it ... then just charge as nomal no special time ..button press needed ( for note 10.1 ) ... the problem arrises because the firmware cant boot with a flat battery correctly .. normally when a device is flat the firmware is set up to restart the devicwe when its re charged ... but if the device is left for a while or the battery is old .. 1 year plus ... ( yea its a fine threshold ) the device will not boot and end up in a loop or stuck on start up screen ... I have noticed his in a number of devices ...the only way out of it it is to charge the battery ... ...example in a nexus tablet you have to charge the battery via wires , inserted into the battery ( there are two ) ... then the device boots .. but if you let it go flat ... u have to repeat the process.. same in the note 10.1 ... you can actually charge the battery to full capacity as normal .. but the device still wont boot ( I verified this ) .. the only way round this is to charge it .. for a hour or so then .. open the device and disconnect the battery and reconnect ..... plenty tutorials on line ..easy to do ....3 screws and clip back off and disconnect ... reconnect .. charge and boot ... the prob seems to be as I said in the firmware in the device as when it was made tested they only used new battery's !! never a old one ... its one for developers to sort out ...oh btw I have not ever lost any data on the device ( photos .. accounts etc or anything by doing this ) hope this helps .. ...
