I am proud to present, an RErick exclusive... TKRom. A unique ROM in every way. The ROM has some Team Kernelizers exclusives including our sysctrl, build.prop mods and Operation Killjoy. These are unique in that you will not find these mods all together in one complete ROM. The result... Incredibly smooth, snappy performance. Exactly what you would expect your high end device to feel like. UI lag is dramatically reduced thanks to built in entropy generation and sysctrl mods. Welcome to the NEW android experience!! I challenge you to try this ROM. I want you to have high expectations when installing this as we had high standards when we designed these mods.
Based of Scott's VRBMF1-DeOdexed OTA 4.1.2
Latest KToonsez Kernel
exFat support with custom kernel!!!
Build.prop, sysctrl, Operation Killjoy tweaks

jbeitel - for letting me package the RIT (The most complete icon package ever made!!!)
Didact74 - for his sweet tutorials

saqib nazm - for his tutorials
sandy7 - for his tutorials
ficeto - for settings app
my wife - for putting up with me through all this
Anyone else that I missed, let me know and I will add you!
Some notes that you should read: First boot takes quite a while. Probably longer than what you are used to. There is a lot of stuff going on in the background especially with some of our proprietary mods. Please be patient. My first boot I timed at 4min3sec. So don't freak out. After the first boot, you will notice dramatic effects from our mods. Also the Theme Pack is quite large. I am not the best with Aroma or anything like that so it is very slow to load and the Themes are slow to flash. Please be patient. I have personally tested all of the themes with both CWM and TWRP, and although slow, they work as intended.
Standard disclaimer. If you download and flash this software, Team Kernelizers will not be held liable for anything that may arise out of your actions. If your phone puts out a hit on your toaster... sorry bro, we don't cover that. Better call your State Farm Agent.
Do not forget to set animation speeds to .5 in developer options. If you don't the custom animations will make it seem slow

Okay, our installer is probably more advanced than what you're used to seeing. This is because of our TKMod being merged with the ROM. There are probably some options you have never seen before and this is just a quick walkthrough where I will attempt to explain what exactly is going on.
TKRom is packaged with the KT747 kernel. You don't have to keep this kernel, you may flash the kernel of your choice over the top of this installation. However, everything in this ROM has been hand selected or designed to work best as we provide it.
This is the first screen with options that you will see. This is not a theme for the ROM, this is just a theme for Aroma. This way you can choose what the installer will look like throughout the installation process.
This is the next screen. Here you may choose to run the installer or you may also choose an aroma based file browser/terminal emulator.
Here is what the file browser looks like
The next screen is where you choose to install a fresh copy of the ROM, or you may choose the TKMod which will only change the options with the ROM. The only difference is that one installs the entire ROM with selections, and the other only installs the selections
This is where it gets juicy. Here you will see an option to disable 5 different rogue files. This is not mandatory, but if you plan on keeping the kernel packaged with the ROM we recommend to disable all of them. As a side note, mpdecision should only be renamed if you decide to use a hot-plugging governor with your kernel. Examples of this are msm-dcvs, Pegasusq, abyssplug, etc. However, if you keep the kt747 kernel, there is an option in the KTweaker app that has an auto hotplug driver built in for non-hotplugging governors. If you would like to use the auto-hotplug driver, proceed with disabling mpdecision and use the KTweaker app to enable auto hot-plugging. If you want a completely stock experience and don't want to tinker with the kernel, we recommend disabling all of them EXCEPT for mpdecision. Of course any of these options can be reverted or changed at anytime by selecting the tkmod option in the installer. For more information please see our Team Kernelizers thread in the general section of this forum.
This next screen is to revert or restore any file that has been previously disabled for whatever reason you like.
Here are some ROM options for you.
Louder sound mod will increase external speaker output by 50%
AOSP MMS is just that, gets rid of the TW style and replaces it with AOSP inverted MMS with popup notifications
Framework animations are special TK animations that make your phone look a bit fancier and a special overscroll color for each version of the ROM. TKRom 3 is an electric green color.
The next one is the splash screen. The KT747 kernel comes with a custom splash screen you have seen it if you haven't selected this option. If you want the stock one back that's what this option is for.
SystemUI is to select whether or not you want the toggles and brightness slider in the pull down. Selecting remove will free up some room but you will have no quick toggles.
The debloating option will get rid of a lot of Samsung and Verizon crap. However if you debloat, NFC WILL NOT WORK. If you want NFC please select the Let me decide option and debloat the ROM yourself. I do not have time to make a list of everything that is removed by if you open the zip with winrar or 7zip all the stuff removed will be in the bloat folder
Cross breeder. We HIGHLY recommend installing this as this greatly increases the effectiveness of our sysctrl. This is entropy generation which android pulls from a pool of entropy. This is basically random bits of data. With crossbreeder its around 4000, and without is only 200. The effects are immediately noticeable in the way the os flips through screens and such. Install it. You will love it. It becomes effective after the second reboot of your device
That's it. After you hit next the installer will handle everything else. Just sit back and enjoy!

For information on KTweaker, the kernel, custom setups for battery life performance or balanced setups, info on governors and schedulers see this thread

Whew! Had me worried there for a second. Myself and 3 of my testers had an issue where internal SD card wouldn't read. It was reporting negative free memory. It would lock up the gallery and caused me all kinds of headaches. It took 2 days to get it fixed. I have a fix for it I was just hoping that it still wasn't there.
Lag gone BTW?

You've out done yourself rerick. Outstanding work!!

So, cputuner is in and ktweaker is out?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

You can use KTweaker but we highly advise against oc with it. Operation killjoy leaves ktweaker alone. Cputuner however is definitely out

You can always uninstall killjoy too if you prefer

For those of us who just want our phones to $%#^@! work.
This is a clean EI22 based ROM with a custom Black theme. Most of the preloaded Sprint software is removed, with the exception of ThinkFree Office, MyFiles, and Memo. This ROM puts stability ahead of new features and is usally behind the curve when it comes to the latest mods. Those who are into bleeding edge/ricer ROMs will probably find this ROM boring.
Feature List:
Based on the original leaked EI22 NANDroid dump (noobnl)
Deodexed
Custom EI22 kernel with the following features: (source)
init.d script support
busybox/su
keyboard fixes
overclocking to 1.4Ghz
Voltage control
WIFI stability fixes
CWM5 Support
bootanimation.zip support (None included by default. Place one into '/system/media' and it will play)
Carrier IQ ("CIQ") removed (k0nane)
RFS file system
Stock Gingerbread Launcher with 3D fix (hoffman1984)
GPS Fix (hienkhieu)
Proper Reboot and Reboot to CWM Recovery on the power menu (Thanks to untermensch for the excellent quide)

FAQ
FAQ:
Q: What's with the 'no root' kernel?
A: There are certain programs that will refuse the work if you have root access. The 'no root' kernel will strip root access at bootup and allow programs which refuse to run on rooted devices to run. To re-obtain root acess all you have to do is flash the regular CleanGB kernel in the first post.
Q: Where is the bootanimation.zip and how can I change the boot animation?
A: The stock boot animation is actually contained in the framework-res.apk file. If you want to use a custom boot animation, all you have to do is place your bootanimation.zip in the /system/media directory and it will play instead of the stock one.
Q: What about [insert feature here]?
A: See the todo list below
Todo/Coming Soon:

Restored ClockPackage that links to MyFiles
Build 14
New Kernel - change to how ext4 partitions are mounted; will give you ext4 users those uber fast quadrant scores (that mean nothing).

Zipaligned apk files (yes, I forgot to do it)
Build 13
Added Kernel that supports overclocking to 1.4Ghz and voltage changes (source is in first post)

Honestly, I don't give a crap about CIQ, so it's not a high priority but since lots of people care about it, I'll incorporate it as soon as someone releases a noCIQ friendly hotspot hack.

Thanks for posting some screenies...and not for nothing but doesn't removong CIQ make a small improvement on battery performance and free up a little extra RAM...I mean after all were only working with 385mb as opposed to the new standard of 1GB?
Edit: theme looks nice and clean looking forward to your updates.

Wow I like the theme. When I saw blackish theme I was a little's turned off at first because I kind of hate those ones where literally everything is black and there is very little color at all. But when I saw the pictures I liked it as it looks mostly stock but with more black. Very classy looking.
Quick question: I've been hesitating on some of the other Tom's as they have had GPS or data or other weird issues that I am just not having running stock odexed with mkasick's ei22 key fix kernel and the GPS fix. I didn't know if the common theme there was the leaked dump or not. Have you seen anything like that with yours?

To be honest, I've had a few hiccups with EI22 that I never had with EH17. GPS has worked fine for me, but once or twice bluetooth has gotten stuck while turning on and the phone went into a zombie-like state. The bluetooth libraries and firmware are the same in EI22 as they were in EH17, so if there is a problem it has to be in the kernel. That's why I'm sticking as close to stock kernel as I can right now.
I've personally had no issues with data or WIFI.
Any chance of getting the power menu mod that includes REBOOT (and Reboot to recovery)?
Amazingly, this is the only EI22 ROM so far that has a battery % mod. Congrats!

NM. I found a guide on how to do it. It's pretty involved, so it will take some work. I'm going to tackle it.
Battery life is pretty sick on this! Unplugged at 100% before going to bed last night, and after six hours of sleep it was at 97%. Its now almost 12: 30, and am at 68%! Haven't even connected to my wifi yet, but do have an airrave, so I'm sure that helps. Thank you for this! Wondering how much more I would get out of it by flashing rodderick's nociq over this. Like the black too. Nice work!

May I ask why everyone is including the GPS fix into their ROMs? From my understanding from this thread. You don't need all the GPS locks as it is not needed and the reason you don't without the fix is to save battery life. I think the reason people have been wanting the fix was due to a separate issue that has since then been fixed.
You should leave the GPS fix out for those who don't want it. You can get good accuracy with just a few locks, and anymore locks is just a waste of battery life.

I think noobnl corrected his post since then to say that Samsung forgot to update the gpsd in the new EI22, still using a very old one from the early GB leaks and leaving us with a broken and half-working GPS. Therefore, it seems the only decent way to get good GPS performance again is to flash the GPS fix, which copies over the GPS daemon from the Fascinate (same as CM7).

I am going to run my phone without the GPS fix for the few days and see how it goes. I'm very heavy GPS user so if there is a problem I will notice it. If GPS runs fine for me I will probably remove the fix because battery life is more important to me than useless extra satelite locks.

This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). The idea to start a ROM based off AOKP with added features for us was started out of curiosity and boredom. We started compiling ROMs for personal use and later started sharing them. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and fine tune the way we do things. Since then, is been nothing but fun and a true learning experience for all of us involved. We've received high praise from not only users but fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. Our 4.2.2 version made it onto various devices to include the HTC One, Galaxy Nexus, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO LTE, Nexus 4 and some other devices. We hope to do the same with our 4.3 version.
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....

NOTES:
Kernel Tweaker!
This is a fairly full featured app in Settings. Fully configure all aspects of the kernel
(except for UV for some known reason). Worth doing this. Set what you know, then set but leave default settings on what you don't know about. Doing so will allow the highest cpu GHz, the lowest battery = best performance and very stable.
KT is also a great ROM/update/gapps flasher. Right from the rom.
Regarding wakelocks and the ability to control them now.
I recommend you look into these and which ones you can disable.
If you do put in the time to search and ask some questions here, your battery will love you!
Heres a head start ===> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827676
What's Next.....?
Camera is still a challenge. I put in "A Better Camera App"
and a PlatStore version of the ICS Cam. Bothe of these will give you
HD 1080 res for both Cam and Camcorder.
NOTE!! While the ICS Cam is perfect given our vendor blobs,
it comes with ads!!! Please, enable the ad blocker in
"settings/DirtyTweaks/Misc. Tweaks"
Use it first or make it your default for seamless rom integration
Also. Because of the huge amount of feature here, you will not get a silky smooth
experience until you set all of the kernel, init.d tweaks and animation. My advice
is to 1) head to SU first and set it to what you want. 2) ad blocker as described above.
3) USE THE KERNEL TWEAKER in settings! It is no more or less then EXACTLY
what you need for this rom/kernel. Built by and for this rom. Using all default settings
is just fine but check ALL of the check boxes in there. It is built in so nothing will work better
BUT while it takes advantage of all the features in the kernel, it UNSETS the built in defaults
of the kernel on boot so it can work. (some settings may appear or disappear depending on what you select. ex. Performence- nothing there. BadAss- This sexy Gov., is tweakable and has settings.
- Gestures!
- Device specific features - AKA Advanced settings (sensors, touch sense etc...)
- LCD Density to ROMControl
',
'-> workaround:
For the dpi, assuming you have signed into playstore already,
is to go settings/apps and wipe data for playstore. In root explorer
go system/build.prop, open to edit with read/write and scroll down to
density and change the 200 to what you want. 240 is stock.
Save it and reboot, sign back into playstore.
Alternatively, ROMToolbox has a build.prop mod function.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox
-Lock Screen cLock/weather
To allow the time/date/weather/calendar...etc to show up customized,
set up cLock as usual in ROMControl and push power to turn off display.
Push again and swipe down the clock borders below the clock digits to
extend the lock screen carousel. Swipe to the right and tap the plus
sign to add a new widget. Add cLock. Swipe to the left and long press
the original clock then drag to the top and delete.
The new customized cLock should settle into place.
Thanks for bringing another Rom to this great phone!

No no, thank you guys for all that work. Just amazing.....
I'm drooling just looking at the description. But the thing I can't live without is Zoe + video highlights. Any recommendation on if it can be done, I don't think so bc I've been told those are only on sense.

Zoe, I think that is an HTC specific app for their cam. I haven't heard of it for the SR but I can see about it for you.
Haven't had any issues since running this. Also, screenshots work fine for me.

I have to thank @ktempleton for bringing me in on this rom. This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for him so peeps should pass some his way too.
This ROM will be everybody's DD. Damn, like KT says, 'It will take people 2 weeks just to learn the rom". Meaning, there is just so much functionality!
For those that know me from BeanStalk, know that I, at the very least, try hard to keep up with users, questions, features, kernels, source updates etc...
This ROM comes tight. You won't see a ton of updates. (ie: every other day) Updates will come with version updates only. (Unless something crazy happens)
I will keep the same tone in here tho. That's another thing people from BeanStalk will know about. NO CRAP! lol I understand what it was like to be new and how intimidating this all can be.
Searching first is ALWAYS advised just so nobody looks foolish but if you need to know something ROM specific, just ask. Everybody will be respectful in here and help out if I don't see it right away.
I always say. There is no need for anybody to be in trouble. I'm available.

I've been using Bean for a long time and I've gotta say it's one of the most respectful threads I've ever seen on XDA. I will also say it's been a long time since I've been hoping for an MD5 match. lol I've been looking at this on other devices for a while and am glad you compiled it for the Rocket. I would thank you but I just burned my 8 for the day thanking you in the Bean thread. Solid work man solid.
Woah! Feature packed holy....quick question about "active notification" is it just dynamic notifications from play store or what did you do? That app is giving me some issues so if it's baked in real well like on the actual moto x, that'd be AWESOME. Thanks again

These ROMs are deodexed and based on an unofficial JLS36I AOKP ROM. There are many mods possible because it is an AOKP build, so customize and enjoy!
Others have tested these as much as possible, above and beyond. However, if someone finds a bug or error, please let me know. DO NOT PM me as others may have the same issue and it is better to answer it once here than a thousand times through PMs.

KNOCKON
The KnockOn feature on these ROMs only works partially. A double-tap will turn on the lock screen, but a double tap will not turn off the screen. I have included a free lock widget that can easily be setup to give a more rounded KnockOn experience. To set the widget up, perform the following after flashing either ROM:
When you first boot into HeatshiverSX you will notice a small green power button widget off to the right. This is the widget to be used. Click on the app drawer.
Click on the "Lock Screen Widget" app.
Click on "Lock Icon Options".
Click on "Lock icon visibility".
Choose "Invisible on desktop" and click OK.
Click on "Lock icon size".
Make it as large as possible (80) and click OK.
OPTIONAL - Click "Lock icon style" and change the icon image. Click OK afterwards.
Exit the app to the desktop.
OPTIONAL - Click and hold the power button widget. Move it over the power button of the desktop background, but be quick as the power button widget will disappear after a few seconds...
Click the invisible power button widget once to lock the screen.
NOTE: The power button shows when clicked or when exiting from app to desktop.
Uninstall
To uninstall go into the "Lock Screen Widget" app first, then click and follow the "Uninstall guide" instructions before attempting to remove the app.
SUGGESTIONS
KnockOn - If you want a fuller KnockOn experience you have 4 options:
EASIEST - Use the included "Lock Screen Widget". Setup a transparent power button widget and place over the power button on the background (button shows when clicked or when exiting from app to desktop). Click the button once to lock the screen.
RECOMMENDED - Buy and download this app from the Play Store. It offers a widget with full transparency and uses a double-tap to lock the screen.
ALTERNATIVE 1: If you own Nova Launcher and Tasker, you can setup a shortcut for the double-tap feature.
ALTERNATIVE 2: Download this app and use a opaque widget to enable the KnockOn feature on any Android device.
Smaller/Hide Nav Bar(Soft Keys) - With AOKP the nav bar does not have the transparency the stock LG G2 launcher does. But, with AOKP, you have the ability to shrink or hide your Nav Bar and save that precious real estate! Go to Settings>ROM Control>Navigation Bar and choose "Navigation Bar height" to change the size (40DPI suggested), or check off "Enable Hidden Nav Bar" (or both).
NOTE: "Enable Hidden Nav Bar" acts like GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys, but without the double nav bar issue after a reboot.
QUESTIONS
What are the main differences between HeatshiverSX v1.0 and HeatshiverSX v2.0?
As noted above, the main difference is that v2.0 includes PA 4.4 Gapps. This increases the ROM size of v2.0 to about 370MB.
Will there be an odexed version
No. If not using an odexed version is a true worry, just remember, once the dalvik cache builds up on the deodexed version, there should be minimal - if any - performance difference. Which means after the first boot up (or any subsequent dalvik cache wipe), either versions' performance would be similar.
There's something I want, can you add it?
Maybe. It took a while to get HeatshiverSX v2.0 to work properly, so it depends on if I think it will benefit everyone, and how much it adds to the ROM. Post a request.
I want something that is in KK 4.4, can you add it?
Likely, no. I plan on making a 4.4 ROM in a bit, so there would be no point for me. But, you can always post a request and see.
Will this work with my variant?
If it is not listed, then NO. You can make a request for your variant in the thread. It'll move progress along if you also post a link to any custom ROM meant for your variant as well.
Why don't you use an AROMA installer?
I experimented with the newest version for my other ROM, but it is just overly convoluted with menu pages and could be confusing when trying to determine how to actually flash just the ROM. I had decent success with an older version, but in both versions, there were times where the installer would not go back to recovery and would cause a boot loop from not installing properly. The old methods are best.
I want such-and-such app, can you put it in the ROM?
Probably not, but if it is requested numerous times I might.
Is there different keyboards?
I only included the 4.4 keyboard as it was very similar to the 4.3 keyboard.
Can I flash this zip even though my recovery doesn't "lokify" items (e.g. kernels)?
You should be able to flash on any available recovery without issue.
What can I do with the custom kernel?
The custom kernel adds a lot to performance but here are a few things you can actually do with it: 1) You can undervolt. 2) You can change to newly added governors. 3) You can utilize zRAM. 4) You can calibrate screen colors. 5) You can OC CPU. 6) You can OC GPU.
Since you have KnockOn (kinda), can you include QuickRemote?
Ohhhh, I've been trying. I've tried a few different methods without true success. I tried this thread's version as well, but unfortunately it won't even show... If anyone gets a different APK to work, or some method to get the one in the aforementioned thread to work, send me a PM and I'll include it in a future update.
Can you include LG G2 themes or apps?
I may work on some G2 theming as an update, but G2-specific apps will be A LOT harder to accomplish.
ISSUES & FIXES
After First Boot - I am getting error messages that lead me back to the settings for date and time. What do I do?
Go into Settings>Apps>ALL and find Google Account Manager (and Keep if on HeatshiverSX v2.0). Click on the app and uncheck "Show notifications".
After First Boot - I am unable to open certain apps, and/or my time always resets to 1970 after a reboot. What do I do?
This is a two-part fix, one for correcting the date, the other for making it "persist" after each reboot:
Go to Settings>Date & time and uncheck "Automatic time zone". Change "Select time zone" to the correct time zone.
Go to your apps and open ClockSync. Click on the 3-dotted menu in the upper-right corner and click Sychronize. SU should appear. Select "Remember choice forever" then "Allow". Click on the 3-dotted menu again and click Settings. Scroll down to "Sync on boot" and check the corresponding box.
The AOSP keyboard is throwing up an error message all the time. What do I do?
This has started to occur since the LG keyboard was added. Go into Settings>Language & input, check off the "LG Keyboard" option, then change the "Default" to the LG keyboard.
The LG keyboard is in single-hand mode. What do I do?
There is a tiny keyboard icon on the bottom of the LG keyboard itself. Click that icon and choose the first option for dual-hand mode.
The sound seems very low. What do I do?
I use Wootever's kernels as I like his work, but I have been told that his kernel makes the sound lower. Download and flash Houstonn's kernel here, and it should instantly boost your sound.
I have tried to turn off the network speed on the status bar, but I can't. What do I do?
There is no on/off switch, but the network speed can be taken away altogether. Download this SystemUI.apk and install it over the current one. Make a backup of the original APK if seeing the network speed is desired later.
I want to update the Google Play Store in HeatshiverSX v1.x. What do I do?
There is no fix for this at the moment. You will need to flash HeatshiverSX v2.x if you want the current Google Play Store version.
INSTALLATION
1) Make a backup of your current ROM.
2) Do a Factory Reset.
3) Flash the zip.
4) After boot, there are two things you should setup to be issue free. They are both listed in ISSUES & FIXES...
NOTE: If you have any install issues, be sure to use a TWRP recovery!
MISC.
When you first install either ROM there will be a quick tutorial on how to use the KitKat launcher. It will show Hangouts as an example. There is an issue with Hangouts in HeatshiverSX v2.0 (possibly due to the 4.4 integration of SMS), so it has been left out and replaced with SMS.
Photosphere is installed in HeatshiverSX v2.0, however, it does not show. I will try to find a solution, however, I don't see it as an urgent need...
GPS can be enabled, but apps that use it tend to crash.
QuickWindow does not work on either ROM version.

Good to know, this may be because of the hosting as they have been making numerous changes, and I have a feeling that files aren't being fully uploaded properly. However, I still need to know which version you downloaded, which leads me to...
EDIT: Please also try downloading Woot's or Houstonn's AOSP kernels and flash those to see if that fixes the issue. I use Woot's, but if you re-flash the kernel and it doesn't work, then it is probably a hosting issue.
For everybody, please always read the ENTIRE OP. especially the SUPPORT section, I don't really like to have to prod people for more details. The more narrowed down your answer, the easier it is for me to discern where the problem lies and solve it. Thank you.

Thanks, Really looking forward to checking this out, I have been messing with a Note 2 I picked up (awaiting 4.3 leak or real to drop). Saw this and can't wait to come back with the G2....
Okay, I re-uploaded both versions as "Newest" in the OP. Please try them out and post your results. I would appreciate if @benlee337 or @razrlover would try these and see how they fare.
If the phone doesn't boot - or the screen stays black - this normally suggests a kernel issue. Although, it is likely to be a bad download/upload from the hosting given my history with my current service...
Any uploads for ROMs take me forever, so any changes will never be immediate.
Ok will do. Thanks brother!

I downloaded the new 2.4 twice and installed twice with the same result. It seems like there may be something wrong with the installation process. Other roms takr almost 5 minutes to install but this one is done installing after 45 seconds both times. I don't get an error or anything. Same black screen though. Thanks for working on this. I downloaded this before you made it for the 801 with Houston's kernal and it worked just wasnt able to edit apn. Looking forward to use it after these issues are worked out. Thanks. HeatshiverSX v1.5 & v2.5 are now available with some important fixes! I'll be taking a small break from this ROM in order to work on my other ROM and ports.
@benlee337 @razrlover - I didn't notice this before but it seems both of you are using D802, or at least according to your XDA app signatures (razrlover's displays this on the previous page). This is the D801 port for T-Mobile, the D802 version resides in the D802 forum we now have.
@razrlover - It is odd you got it to work if you do have a D802, but kudos for the good work!
Which version of gapps necessary for this rom?

@Heatshiver I am on d801! However because of Houston's aosp kernel zip D801 users can use D802 aosp ROMs or cm/ pa based then flash aosp kernel for d801 afterwards.

* When you first open the launcher settings, you will see it with black text on a black bg, to fix please do the following.
Tap launcher settings, turn on the power saving mode then hit back once and you will see power mode enable.
Now go back to settings and turn power mode off and everything will be back to normal. You only have to do this the first time you open the launcher settings.
* To enable infinite scrolling of the home pages apply these settings.
Uncheck My Magazine and make sure that transition effect is set to something other than Plain-NoWrap.
Then exit out of settings and uncheck the 6th gear page.
Now you will have infinite scrolling of your pages.
If you leave the 6th gear page checked, you will end up opening it when you reach the end of each side.
Some of those settings might not stick after rebooting, so you might have to set them up again.
ViPER4Android
* When you first flash the rom, viper will automatically install a default driver. To choose which quality driver to install, follow these steps.
Open the viper app.
Choose to uninstall driver and reboot.
Now go back to viper and choose which quality driver to install.

Absolutely no permission given to use any part of these themes in anyway!
If I find out that anyone has copied and used any part of them, they will be reported immediately!
First of all, I gotta give a huge thanks to @cambunch for letting me use his Material Dark files so I could create this hybrid concoction of a theme.
These themes are based on the Material Dark theme found in the store with added files across the system to cover what Samsung limits on what can and can't be themed.
Which means, these themes have all Material Dark files edited plus additional specific files from my rom.
Flashing these on any other rom will result in chaos!
You Have Been Warned!
Please read all the flashing and removal intructons!
How to flash
You must have the Material Dark theme installed and applied before trying to flash my themes!
You must have a custom recovery
You must be running my COJ5 Breakdown R3.X rom
Be sure not to flash the rom and theme back to back in the same session.
Download and apply the Material Dark theme from the theme store
Download your theme of choice from my theme list
Reboot into recovery
Flash zip
Reboot
Done!
Revert/Remove Lobotomy
READ!
Since these themes contain various files from my rom, you will have to flash the undo theme zip if you want to use a different store theme without left over artifacts or if you want to go back to the original Material dark theme.
If by chance you've flashed both rom and theme in the same session without rebooting or have restored a backup with the theme applied, you might end up missing the contacts apk. In case that happens, simply flash the undo zip and reboot so the contacts loads and then continue to reflash theme.
Download the theme undo zip
Flash the undo zip
Reboot

To God be the glory, my AOKP Nougat project finally works!
This is not a dirty unicorn. This is the original unicorn, the AOKP. Now made out of nougat! With tons of settings from status bar tweaks to home button remaps, it's all here and ready to rumble! Hopefully more features will be added as the AOKP team integrates the changes to the source.
**** This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. Install at your own risk! ****
Downloads:
Rom Download link:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/zu8y9slczytr3/Nougat
Gapps link:
http://opengapps.org/
-Which I personally tested Pico. Be sure to choose "Arm" and "7.1".
This Rom has been stable for me, but is new, so be prepared for some little hic-ups here and there. Be sure to follow these installation steps very carefully, as they may be different then what you are used to.
!!!FIRST BOOT TAKES ABOUT 5 EARTH MINUTES TO COMPLETE!!!
Installation instructions:
-Follow this guide to get your phone onto the Developer aboot:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve.../testers-required-easier-root-method-t3561529
-Download ROM and gapps, and put them on your phone or external storage.
-Reboot into recovery mode - TWRP
-Backup what you had. (Just to be safe.)
-Wipe. (I personally wipe everything prior to flashing new roms, but at least do the basic wipe.)
-Install Rom.
-Install Gapps. - Optional
-Reboot to system and enjoy!
-OPTIONAL - After first boot, then go back to recovery and install the AKLU kernel.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/development/kernel-nougat-kernels-t3608886
I do not recommend installing superSU or Magisk on this ROM! SU permission is already built in, and superSU and Magisk have been causing problems with the rom. Please read the thread for further details.
Code:
What works:
So far everything that I have tried works, such as
- Camera for pictures and video!
- Phone calls/receiving
- Data 2g/3g/LTE
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- PTP/MTP
- GPS
- Multi-Window, just long press the "recents" button.
etc....
What doesn't:
- The capacitive button back lighting does not work correctly. The buttons still work, just not the lighting.
- Automatic time zones cause problems, set time zone manually in date/time.
- Choosing to reboot the phone sometimes takes a loooong time. It may be better to Power off and then start the phone, which is faster for some reason.
- Let me know in the forums if you find other issues so I can work on fixing them.
This AOKP N ROM was built for the Verizon Galaxy S5 using modified LineageOS trees. I have not tried this on any other device, but you are welcome to try it AT YOUR OWN RISK. Chime in if it worked on your device.
A huge thanks to the Android Open Kang Project team!
Disclaimer: AOKP is not responsible for any damages to your device.
All of my work is completely available for any who wish to use or modify it. I didn't make AOKP, the device trees, or vendor blobs. I simply used and edited existing material. A huge thanks should go to those who actually created this stuff.

Thanks:
A huge thanks goes out to @haggertk for his great work on the KLTE!
Notes:
Just a spot for some field notes about the ROM.
Background:
The awesome background was provided by The Quiet Learner, you can see more of his work here:
https://qlfiles.net/
You can also change the background using SWAGGER, to choose from several amazing AOKP backgrounds. Just long press the background as usual, and choose SWAGGER.
Multi-Window:
Open the app you want on top, then long press the recent button, then select the app you want on the bottom. Slide the slider up or down to choose full screen for the top or bottom app. Note: if in multi-window mode, pressing home goes to the home screen, but opening an app causes multi-window mode again with the last app you had open and the new app you chose.
OmniSwitcher:
You must enable OmniSwitcher to use it. There are choices for horizontal or vertical layouts, as well as the "handle" size and color. You can also enable the "menu" button, which may come in handy due to the long press of the recent button being used for multi-window.
@AlaskaLinuxUser AKLU kernel? i like testing kernels , can you tell me a little more details about that kernel , or is it the aokp-stock kernel? if not what features are included in it?.... great rom tho.
also is it possible for you to include a updated modem and firmware files in this rom (latest modems/firmware filles) i think the qd1 is the latest.

KazuDante,
The ROM comes with the stock kernel, but you can download the AKLU kernel from the kernel thread. I only just started on the kernel, so at present the AKLU kernel just includes the extra governors: Lionheart, smartmax, and Wheatley. I plan to do more updates next week, see the kernel thread for details.
As for the modem, this ROM does not include modem files. Whichever modem and baseband you have loaded is what you will have, I just happen to have QB2 on my phone, works great for me on straight talk. But if you are coming from QD1 then that is what you will have.
Hope that helps! And thanks for giving the ROM a try!

Hi, Great ROM thank you.
However the moment I install Google Play Services Framework, I lose the ability to use cellular data. APN settings are there, the LTE network is there in the quick menu, but not in the status bar. Wifi works fine.
I have installed each separately of GPStore, GPlogin, GPServices, and GPSFramework, and have narrowed it down to a GPSF issue. It doesn't matter if I install from Open GApps or individually using apk's from apkmirror.
I have tried putting exceptions in the data saver app even though I never turn it on, but no luck. It happens with all Nougat AOSP based ROMs, like lineage and CM as well.
Please help if you can, I really like this ROM.

off-subject forgot to say you have to divide the screen rgb values by 128 so that the custom profiles of kernel auditor can be applied. those max values should be around the 255 if divided by 128.

At first I was confused, but then I looked at KA, and you are correct! That's somewhat comical. However, your powers of observation are not only astute, but your persistence in determining the multiplicity of the matter is remarkable.

Thank you. I try to help in any way that I can , since a lot of users might use the kernel-auditor-MOD app ( which has a custom profile that punches up the colors and blacks(oled+black= more battery life, even tho its really small but better some then none right) ) , they might of pointed out that the profiles don't work and i got around testing your kernel today ( free time) and was looking at all aspects of it. Personally I'm waiting on the update that would include voltage control , and if possible even on the gpu itself. and since you are the first to included a different frequency for the CPU without increasing the voltage ( bravo ) I'm assuming that you might have plans to included more cpu and gpu frequencies compared to the 300-422-652-729-883-960-1036-1190-1267-1497-1574-1728-1958-2265-2457-2534-2611-2764-2841 frequencies that most if not all S5 users are customed to for a while. Adding in-between frequencies would be a great upgrade for the S5 but for the GPU I'm not so sure since even changing the gov of the GPU would crash/freeze the system.
So I am very excited to see what twists your kernel will bring.

Thanks for the reply. It's not ROM specific so not really your problem, just figured I'd see if you knew anything. If I freeze GPServices and GPSFramework, LTE pops right back up.
I have same problem in LineageOS 14.1 so there must be some kind of conflict with GPlay and nougat based AOSP ROMS on my phone. I'm on the PB1 bootloader if that means anything (found this ROM from your post on that thread). Only other possible difference from you is I'm on AT&T Mexico.
It's so weird because LTE symbol is shown next to the signal strength triangle icon in Quick settings but not in status bar, so it's like the phone is receiving the signal but refuses to use it.
Haha, nice the R&BW. :good:

Yes, it does.
Hello from a fellow Alaskan Jesus lover who uses a unlocked SM900V as my daily driver. Currently using Resurrection Remix 7.1.2_r8 because of its tweakability and being able to use 3Minit Battery Mod.
Praise God! Another update!
There is a new download in the OP! Just a sync with AOKP for security patches through June! There is also a new web browser that you can try!
Just an FYI, I have changed the download link to a folder containing the rom(s), its just a little easier, so after an upload I do not have to update the links, as the folder will not change, just the rom in it.
Enjoy and Happy Independence Day and weekend to my fellow Americans!

Awsome!! ive been waiting patiently to hear from you. Thank you so much
I forgot to mention that I also changed the boot animation to the old "lightning" AOKP boot animation.
If you want the new "pony-gear" animation, you can grab it here in the "Official AOKP" folder:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/o172vzm25q6n3/bootanimations
Or you can poke around the other animations and use any of those if you like them. Checkmate was one of my favorites, although I made these a while back for older phones, so they may be a little "fast" and/or "small" on your phone now.
Thanks for porting this to the Verizon version.
I have found one bug that I didn't see others mention. My Recent and Back buttons are not illuminated.

Actually, that is in the op under what doesn't work. Its a problem with all of my AOKP ROMs. It has to do with the aokp backlight controls.
