An app won't work because the logcat is cleared as soon as the device reboots.

Nice. Glad you found something that works. Be interesting now to find out what was causing your phone to reboot randomly. What was the name of the App you found?

i froze some apps using BT and i had just to turn USB debuging on :\ since than the phone didnt turn off randomly.it didnt reboot once since i enabled it.i didnt even look for this but i accidently found it and tried.but still im going to find out what was the problme.im a newbie on android roms but i want to create my own rom without those google services.i aim for battery life.anyways thnx again for your help

Glad you fixed the random reboots. It always seems to be a defective app, unless it's hardware. That's cool you want to create your own roms. Maybe you can create roms for those with older phones too. XDA forums is a great place to learn all about roms, flashing, and what tools to use if your getting into rom development. Best of luck in your quest.

I had that with a couple of ROMs. I never did figure out what the issue was or how to fix it. I just flashed a different one. Have you recently flashed a custom ROM?

I understand that you are still using Stock ROM.
use the process of deduction, trace what recent manila modification, or installed
app you've made which may account to this problem and just uninstall this
otherwise HR is the only solution (this sould be the last recourse)

apps can cause this.
i installed an app my phone wouldnt load it will stay white on screen had to do hard reset.
all sorted. it was either my taskbar or blk dialer. but all good . just have to find the right app for my phone
I've seen the blank page happen before, it's the sense skin itself. It happens to me when I want to adjust my volume at times, the skin just does not pull up the right information and the screen is blank. You can try to restart manila.exe under the adv task mgr if that helps. usually when that happens I just take the easy way and soft reset.
the rest of your images look like you installed the wrong cab for some app that has to deal with manilla.

My Galaxy R display gone off after sometime of locking the phone. But phone is working fine. I can hear the ringtone when call is coming. When I switch any button phone display not work but I can use phone after rebooting and again it happen after sometime when the phone is lock. I tried installing another ROM and kernel but still it is happening. So what i have to do to solve this.

I think there's a problem with the display backlight. Better take it to the SSC if the device is in warranty..

Sadly I don't have warranty and I don't think it is backlight problem. If it is then why would it work every time after reboot.
I figured something else and now I am sure it is not problem with backlight. Today I changed light setting to automatic off to 10 minutes. And after that I checked whether it happen or not. After sometime I tried to unlock drawing the pattern but it is very difficult to draw and goes wrongly and i tried every button but except power button no button work. I tried after that drawing the pattern and working fine. After sometime again it happen and it goes fine after pressing power button. But still it wont work it if happen when the backlight is off. So I think now you people have some more information. And i hope I can fix it soon with your help.

Hey buddy. this thing happened with me lots of time when I was over GB. If you are over GB then flash ICS or JB.. this will definitely solve out your problem. But if you think this wont help then can visit SSC.

I updated my phone to ICS. But still it is happening. i don't knw what is wrong with it. Is there any other solution.
Hmmm... me too faced the issue in GB... not sure about ICS.. coz I was very little time in ICS... can u connect ur phone with PC and run log cat... after it get stuck.. when u reboot it will get ended and u can send the logcat... developers can see what is going wrong...

Not sure.. how u have taken this logcat.. not getting anything interesting...
1. Run logcat after connecting your pc..
2. let it run till ur mobile get stuck...
3. after it get stuck.. u have to reboot(rite?)
4. while rebooting the logcat will get ended
5. send the logcat...
If u used the same procedure, then do one more testing after doing a factory reset(don't install any app and don't restore ur app)...

I am trying to install NextGen 1.5
Problem is, in main menu, whenever I go to "recovery", fone gets struck with htc logo(white background). Then I have to take out battery, re-insert, press vol down+power up .....fast boot and run "recovery.bat" from pc(while connected fone to pc). then I get back the CWM Recovery Menu.
This is occuring everytime. Please help me to fix it.
Try with some other recovery, it's not like you don't have a choice And from which main menu you're getting in to recovery?

well "main menu" refers to vol down+power button, which leads to "fast boot, recovery, factory reset" options.
Also u only suggest me some better recovery plz.

Thanks buddy...1 more thing, I hv installed nextgen1.5 Now when i go to music player-->sound enhancer..i get a FC, can u help me wid dis ?
Plus when i try to grant SU permission to any app..it says "Sorry, test failed. This feature cannot be granted to ur fone"
Fone is perfectly rooted. Had been using it for 1 yr, n now for the frst tym put custom rom and all these issues.
That's for the dsp
.Music player force closes bcoz of DSP libraries to fix just remove the library file from /system/lib/soundfx/libcyanogen-dsp.so it will perfectly like breeze.

Just a friendly advice for the next time, there is a 'search in this thread' function which is really helpful when you have an issue with, whichever rom, cos it's possible for somebody to yell at you if you asked something that has been answered several times before

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the SK4G or knows about any solutions. My GPS has been unable to get a fix since before I even rooted. I hoped rooting and installing a custom ROM would fix this but so far that is a no.

Try to fix permissions in cwm advance menu
try a nexus rom (the themes look amazing an are stable) only crashes are when something isn't supported or something goes wrong with a app
Also the root for the phone is like 99% good an 1% bad
If you have everything correct but can't flash "error" finding the command in the cwm its just a bad root easy fix just odin an reroot put recovery back in an there
If you have anymore issues please just reply to this thread I check all new replys to threads also please check a few other fourms with the same issues as more people helped to fix them. This phones community is pretty much dead or they play the mime game . Be silent an lock your self in a box type of mimes

Thank you for the help. I ran the fix permissions and rebooted and I am running a nexus rom, nexus jb 1.3.2 to be exact. Sorry, I didn't understand the instructions concerning the flash "error" as I am very new to it all. The gps did stop working even before I was rooted, I wonder if maybe this is a hardware issue.

No worries about responding right away, this isn't a huge issue just something I'd like to fix if possible. It is my only phone but I don't need GPS daily so no rush.
If you mean turn GPS off/on in settings I have done that several times. Most recently I turned it on and rebooted but still no GPS fix. Time is getting close to needing a new device lol...

Hello to every one...
I just decided to recycle my Galaxy GT S-7562 as an emergency phone but after an update to 4.0.4...
it doesn't want to connect to a wifi anymore. I always get authentication error...and the funny thing is that
the same happen even if i try to connect to an open network...!!!!!
Don't really know what to do...Anyone else have experienced it?

Well, Putting myself in your place, the first thing I would try is boot into recovery and wipedata/ factory reset wipe cache.
restart and check again.
if even after that It doesn't work
flash firmware through odin.
although I would not be dealing with this problem directly cause I don't know what exactly is causing this. So the easiest part, flash.

First off THX for your answer...
Billysam I already tried all the above with no luck... also flashed the firmware a couple of time. Last thing i did was to install
CM11. I'm starting to think that i could be an hardware problem....but well it doesn't look like..

I am uploading a whole zip file with everything that would hopefully return the device to factory default. my upload speed is pretty bad and its already an hour maybe another 5-6 hours and it should probably get uploaded. as soon as it get uploaded I will update my post and will share with you all.

Even after completely flashing to default through odin, I would say don't flash anything more. its not the software's fault
There are 2 things now
Your router settings. for this there are many things that could make problems
1. First Check wifi password and be 200 percent sure that you're entering the right password.
2. Check at another place, another wifi. I also had trouble connecting at my friends wifi, it would keep returning with authentication error, but the same device connected to mine router without any error. (I still couldn't confirm why it happened there, I suspect my friend had blocked my device in router settings or gave me the wrong password)
3. Forget network, turn off your device, turn off your router, then turn on your device and your router , open wifi in device enter password again and connect.
4. Make sure bluetooth is off and only wifi is on.
5. Check if your Mac ID is not being blocked by the router (find MAC address in your device settings-wifi-advanced) enter your Router settings >>wifi>>MAC Filter disable the Mac filter.
6. Go into your router and go to advance and under wireless go to wireless card list and click set up access list ...add your device with the mac address.
7. Reset the router.
8. Change the security settings on the router, from WEP to WPA2/WPA or vise versa, change SSID name as well.
can connect through WPA push button?
9. Try changing wifi channel to 5, 6,7,8.
10. there are few app in play store that say they can fix the wifi issues one such app is wifix, try them too.
Even after going through all this it doesn't work, then I feel there is a chance that wifi module is at fault and the part would need to be replaced.
there are whole lot of people on the internet that have faced issues and are facing issues with the wifi be it any device,(same goes for the wife ) Guess it has a mind of it's own too.
