[Q] Touchscreen is inverted. - HTC One S

hello.
I had a HTC One S, T-Online Germany branded, with s-on and the Viper rom(-> unlocked and rooted).
Then it ran out of batterie, (not the first time that happend after a long day) and when i plugged it in and turned it on again, the x-axis of the touchscreen was mirrored: The Display is normal but when I touch anywhere on the left side it acts like I touched at this spot on the right side.
I was hoping that it was some bug in the rom, and flashed it again.. while flashing I discovered that the same bug is in the recovery (twrp).
I reflashed the recovery and rom a cupple of times untill I lost hope.
Then I s-off'ed it and changed the cid (I wanted to do this since a while) and flashed some custom kernels to see if this would bring any change..
I have no idea what else I could try to solve this.. has anyone a good idea or do you believe it is an hardware bug?
sincerly, menessim

well I guess, no one can help here..

[Resolved] HELP NEEDED, Can access fastboot but nothing else HTC DESIRE

Hi All,
Phone is HTC Desire (Codename Bravo) PVT1 (one of the first), almost two years old!
Flashed a Kernel last night, and all was not great, but phone was still working...
Today having a lot of trouble with it... Restored a nandroid, restored my titanium from schedual, took a nandroid just in case...
all was fine for a while.. Came home to play with it a bit and it froze...
I can access fastboot, but nothing else.. Everything else is stuck on splash screen... adb shell tells me no device found, so it isnt booting at all, as far as i can tell!
S-Off, was running GingerVillain 3.3, Manu Kernel, was custom mtds, but just flashed cm7r2.. old cwm 2.5.0.7 - very confident with my desire... will try anything... its just stuck on splash screen at the moment!
Has it died? Any help appreciated...
a little more info found here in the thread I made in Desire Section - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398932
Other thread had responses and help me solved my problem, thanks to all who helped!!
so you can't access recover? Sounds like you may be bricked.
Thanks for your response... Its the weirdest thing, cos I dont know why it would do it!
However, I got help in my other thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20443037#post20443037 - in the desire section, and ran an RUU, rerooted, re s-off'ed and now restoring my apps on a fresh install!
Again, thanks for your response!
glad you figured it out!

[Q] hardware or software problem - no pattern

Hello everybody, my first time here. Right to the problem:
Bought htc desire s for Vipnet, Croatia - previously unlocked and S-off by I don't know who.
Phone worked normal for a couple off days, upgraded, then started freezing after call - black screen, no leds, non responsive to buttons. Unlock method - called myself from another phone, ringed with black screen, after call ended phone unfroze.
downgraded hboot from 2.00.002 to 0.98.0000
downgraded radio from 3822.10.08.04_M to 38.03.02.11_M
unlocked bootloader
Till now installed several roms, cyanogen, gingerbread, icewitch, energy, sense mod, bliss mod...and others - some off them work fine for 2-3 days, then problem reoccurs. I cannot unfreeze the phone with a second call anymore, only by taking out and reinserting the battery.
Problem occurs with or without the sd in the phone (but I also tried formatting it). Factory restore doesn't work, and I am completely out of ideas.
Is there anything else I can downgrade and how?
Thx ya all

[Q] HTC One S Ville C2 (with S3 Chip) - Custom ROM with Stock Recovery?

Hello everyone!
I'm one of the unfortunate few with an S3 chip in my HTC One S.
Thanks to developers like torxx, at least we have a TrickDroid ROM specifically made for our VilleC2 devices.
I wanted to find out if it is possible to flash stock recovery after flashing a custom ROM?
My bootloader is unlocked and I used Paul's Superboot method to root my phone. Thereafter I flashed TWRP 2.2.2.1 and left it as is since there were essentially no custom ROMs available for the VilleC2 devices at the time.
After using the phone I noticed a recurring issue with the battery, it would go gray with the "!" mark on it and would jump from 10% to 50% when I reboot the phone. Battery calibration did not solve this issue.
I successfully flashed TrickDroid 1.0 but this did not fix the battery issue either.
So I relocked my bootloader today and reloaded the RUU. The battery issue seems to have gone away, didn't get a single gray "!" occurence for the past 4 hours (and keeping fingers crossed that it doesn't occur again!).
I surmised it could be TWRP causing my battery mis-calibration and so was wondering if it was possible for me to re-root, flash TWRP, flash TrickDroid, then flash stock recovery over TWRP.
I'm very new to all this, so any advice at all would help!
Thanks in advance!

Touchscreen stopped working on CM but works on Stock

Hi guys,
I am having a strange problem. I was runing stable CM9 on HTC Sensastion, and yesterday screen just stoped to response to touches. I can wake the phone on button but can not unlock it. After a whole day wiping, doing factory reset, etc, i flashed RUU for it, and screen was working with stock ROM. Looking at HTC Sense I reminded myself why I flashed CM9 in the first place, so Iflashed it again this time CM9.1 stable. Screen issue came back. Then I flashed Bruces CM10 and the issue is still there. ta ****?! Phone is fully functional, exceptit doesn't respond to touches. I can't it 100% doesn't response, because there are some situations (1 of 10) whenunlock animation starts but then freeze. Also, screen is fully functional in 4EXT Recovery.
I did JPBear S-Off
4ext recovery
1.27111 HBoot
flashed cm9.1 and cm10(bruce) over 3.33 ruu
Any sugestions? Thank you for any kind of help!

I am sorry for not putting the thread in right place. I'm preety new/noob.
It's not working with Venom also..
I'm gona flash RUU again...
Instalation through Recovery was smooth, without any problems. When instaling Venom screen is used for selecting options. It worked well there. But when phone boots up, and I touch to unlock, ring moves a bit and freezes. Capacitive buttons are not working also
I'm gona flash RUU again...
I can't believe..screen is working in Stok ROM. Ugliest **** on planet...ghrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Guys..any ideas?
After whole bunch of flashes, I managed it to work somehow with ViperS. After that I flashed CM10, it worked whole day, but same thing in the morning. No response.
One thing that I noticed is that when I format partitions using 4EXT, and looked into info, amount of Size and Free are mismatching, like there is some data on partitions!? Maybe problematic files are in there..Like the partitions are not formated.

[Q] Crazy insane inverted touchscreen issue

crazy touchscreen problem
After flashing a ROM my touchscreen x axis seems to have inverted itself, so right is left on the screen.
This problem happens during the recovery screen also
I have tried changing recovery's,Kernals, flashed ROM's that I know work
I have even returned the phone back to stock nothing fixed it.
I have even went as far as removing the motherboard and installing one out of a working phone and guess what it does the same thing.
So i ask all you knowledgeable people WTF wold cause this and how can I fix it ?
these are the last two ROM's I was trying out when all this happened
they both ran without a problem I just didn't like them
MokeeOS 44.2 24/12/2013 [UNOFFICIAL],
UNOFFICIAL AOKP][4.4.2] [S4] [12/26/13]
I'm in no way blaming the ROM developers for this issue I just need a little help
Strange problem. I think you should flash firmware, it is worth to try i guess
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
mines actually doing the same, and from what i've been reading, i believe it has to do with your hboot version and ics not being compatible with it. try flashing your original ruu if you can. that's what i'm trying to do as we speak. if i ever get my problem figured out, i'll let you know if it works.

This was my test phone I had flashed just about everything you can think of before I would install it on the phone I use every day
I guess my luck ran out
I ended up flashing the phone back to the original firmware and OS version using the factory RUU without a problem
If I try to install anything over 4.04 it goes right back to the same crap
I tried different firmware, kernels, roms with sense/ no sense doesn't matter.
the phone is being sold as I type this and I'm leaving my other two One S phones alone for now on
Nobody should have to go through this much bull for newer OS version so I'm saving for a Nexus 5
Thank you for the suggestion
