buying a nexus s 4g on ebay

Could someone please tell me which phone I need to purchase if I want it for Sprint. I think it is the Nexus S 4G SPH-D720 but I also see people selling a Nexus S 4G i9020. Is the SPH-D720 just Sprint's name for the i9020?
I just don't want to make the mistake of buying a phone I think will work on Sprint when actually the seller was just trying to get as many damn keywords in as possible for ebay searches.
Also, do all Sprint Nexus phones have the Super Amoled screen?
Thanks.
The D720. And I do believe that all the Sprint NS come with SAMOLED. I know mine did. And coming from the Shift it's flat out amazing =)
All Nexus S models are AMOLED exept I9023.....
Sph-d720 is the sprint nexus s 4G as was mentioned, and that sph is significant. Don't go ordering a samsung d720 or you will be a very unhappy camper.

Rogers models?

I have seen a few roms on xda for the infuse that are for Rogers phones only here on xda? I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G that is originally a Rogers phone and I would like to flash/root it. My question is, could I have problems flashing the roms I find here because it is in fact a ''Rogers'' 4g?? Sorry if this is a noob question I just want to make sure before I go and flash it.
That depends, is your phone's model SGH-T959V?
The model is SGH-1997R. So I think the answer would be no.
Sweet Thanks guys. Im thinking its a 1997 as well because the camera is in the center rather than off to the side but I don't have the phone in hand right now to check. After having to teach Rogers tech support how to check the model number through the settings he was still unable to tell me which model it is they carry. Ill just check when I get the phone back. I wont touch it if its a SGH-T959V untill I read more into the difference on flashing these two phones.

[Q] Can an at&t note be flashed to work on Verizon?

Sorry for posting if this is already asked, but I am at work and my upgrade is up soon. Could get in huge troble for being on here but was dying to ask...... I am between buying the Galaxy nexus or the note and flashing it to Verizon if possible. I have the unlimited data with Verizon using my fascinate and do not want to lose it by switching carriers. I want the note bad, sooooooo bad. I'm willing to pay if I can flash it. I'm not really looking forward to the nexus as I don't think it has swipe. Swipe is a must for me. Any suggestions? I don't really have a sweet tooth so I'm not so concerned with ICS I will hack it when the time comes if no update is released. If not flashable to Verizon, could you recommend another with similar specs?
Thanks, Essyg
no, you can't flash the note to verizon...you can unlock it to run on T-mobile though. If you're looking to flash a phone, only phones you can use would be on Sprint or you could just get a verizon phone.
Thank you...
Can you recommend one? I am not sure which one to get.... Should I just wait to see if anything new is coming out?
only phones I'd consider from sprint is the htc evo design or the samsung s2 epic 4G touch. They don't compare to the note though...

GSM nexus phones aren't sim locked so they work anywhere that they are network compatible. As long as the one you are looking at is a i9020t you are fully good to go with uk 3g speeds but if it a i9020a you will be stuck on 2g speeds.
If its a nexus s 4g dont bother that's sprint cdma/wimax ONLY.

at&t phones w/ dev

so we currently are on verizon. our signal is weak at home and heard at&t services our area well.. so im realy cinsidering the switch.. it sucks going outside to make phone calls..
what at&t devices have development going on?? root, backup.. you know..
we switched to verizon a year ago from tmobile. i got a htc dsire 626 that had no dev whatsoever.. going from a rom junkie to no means at all was crazy.. i hate phones with buttons but in this case it seems if i have to do it, i have to do it..
I know the feeling. I thought the Galaxy S4 would be a "nice cheap upgrade" from the Captivate (Galaxy S, AT&T branded ofc) which spoiled me to no end. I'd love to find something as open as that.
Right now, I'm looking at just outright outta-contract buying an unlocked phone and just doing the legwork to make sure it works with AT&T antenna wise.
Of course everyone's needs and wants are different but amongst my group the winners seem to be OnePlus Three, LG G4/5, for those who are flash-happy.

cool i'll have to take a look into those.. yeah the desire 626 had literally no dev for the verizon side.. metropcs got a little but it was dead for the most part.. i just delt with it, gave up, but never lost interest.. now that we are thinking of switching again, ima do more research before get anything..
