Are you S-On? Which recovery are you using? Use 4Ext and enable smart flash feature if S-On and then flash ROM again. Or else flash Boot.img extracted from Rom zip via fastboot.

i had 4ext on it and
i just installed Boot.img extracted from Rom zip via fastboot
i fallowed this steps
http://theunlockr.com/2012/09/20/how-to-root-the-htc-sensation-on-hboot-version-1-27-0000/
This error can happen, no big deal. When I had this rom a change in kernel fixed it. So just get any ics kernel from the help thread (eg bricked 1.4 or Sebastianfm) That will fix it.
Though you should try ViperS 3.1.2. That's awesome.
JAM THAT THANKS BUTTON.
Happy to help.

Is WiFi working after flashing boot.img? Have you enabled smart flash on 4EXT recovery before flashing ROM?

If you're S-On I recommend using 4Ext as there is a smartflash feature which remove the Extra 1 step of flashing boot.img everytime you flash ROM. If you're S-off then you can stick with CWM.

You can use every bootloader with every recovery.
You just need s-off to flash a custom recovery.

So... I have a S-on Desire S unlocked with HTCdev, rooted with superoneclick but I can not get the 4EXT recovery working. App is installed and all my partitions are ext4.
I get the red triangle when I go in to Recovery but I even haven't flashed anything. Just trying to make a backup first.
Is there anything else I have to do to get the recovery working ?
Try flash recovery in fastboot. 100% need to work then

Do you mean I have to install it in fastboot?
In start I was on clockworkmod but later I got cache probelms and I changed to 4ext but clockwork I did flash in fastboot.

OK. I uninstalled 4EXT and flashed the recovery image with adb / fastboot.
Now I have a recovery indeed. Thanks man...
I used this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314629 more specific the quote from "Skanob " how to flash it.
Next step is to install the (touch) app again end see if that works to...
What do i need to do if i want flash ordroid sende 4 ROM? Iam unlocked but s-on . I have arhd ROM cause its only One working. I came from Sgs+ , flashing was so much easier with that phone.

Welcome to the Sensation forums.
Have a look at this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472298
When you get to the flashing part just flash the Sense 4.0 ROM instead of ARHD mentioned.

Also remember too if you are using 4EXT Recovery to go into tools in the recovery and enable 4EXT SmartFlash so your boot.img will get flashed. Or if you are not using 4EXT Recovery remember you have to flash the boot.img of the ROM you want to use via fastboot commands.
Hey Guys,
I'm Stuck on HTC Logo while installing Android Revolution HD 6.7.2. ... Previously i was running On ViperS Rom..(I have a Backup of Viper also,But want to taste ARHD so...)
Everything goes fine...I changed the firmware to 3.33.401.X , Then Flashed ARHD 6.7.2 after flashed completed i got stuck at HTC Logo..
Please Help me Out...Thanx in advance...:good:
Did you use the superwipe script available in the ARHD thread? You MUST superwipe coming from a different rom to ARHD.

Are you stuck in HTC logo or splash screen? If it's spalshscreen, wipe data and cache might solve the problem, but if you are stuck in HTC logo, maybe you need to reflash your recovery.
Use RHD superwipe first then reflash the Rom again it might help. I encounter the same thing when I tried flashing RHD Rom without doing superwipe but later I discover that I must do superwipe then I did it and it works fine.

So your phone works normal if you use other roms? Because I see you are replying on your phone. If so, then it's not recovery that cause the problem, and if you have tried wipe data and cache, maybe your firmware is not updated sucefully? Or the rom you downloaded is not corret? Just guessing.
DON'T wipe the data partition. If you do no wonder your ROM won't boot after flashing. Data partition is important, it holds key files. Wipe only the cache and dalvik cache. But they shouldn't need re wiping after a superwipe.
What ROM are you using currently? It may be a firmware incompatibility.
Yes i m replying from ma Phone, actually i m running on ViperS 1.1.0 ,everything works perfect then i backup the current Rom, then update the firmware to 3.33.41.X then i run superwiped script from ARHD, then Flashed ARHD 6.7.2 then i found i m stuck on HTC loho....
Any Help ???

Why do you want to s-on?! S-off makes things a lot simpler. No need for smartflash and have extended fastboot commands

I don't want to S-ON mannnn....i m better in S-OFF but How can i overcome this Problem ?
Hi ppl,
I've gone trough at least dozens of posts related to Wifi issues on Pyramid and Viper, but none of the suggested fixes seems to work for me.
I've flashed Viper 1.21 ROM with Yank 2.52 kernel, did the full wipe, and installed WiFix but to no avail. Tried with and without the SIM card plugged.
S-OFF is not the problem as i had CM 9.1 installed previously and all RADIO worked fine, so no problems there.
Any suggestions?
I reaaally like the Viper ROM

Yes, I'm soff.
So far only wiper has issues with Wifi. Tonight i'll try some other sense based ROM to see if the issue persists.
As I mentioned Cyanogenmod 9.1 worked flawlessly (as far as the wifi goes)
what recovery are you using ?
if not 4EXT recovery ..change it to 4EXT then flash the ROM again (dont use superwipe too ..use 4EXT -> wipe| format -> format all partitions except sdcard)

I'm using CWM recovery - maybe that could be the issue? I'll try 4EXT and let you know.
Thanks!

you need to follow this guide to the letter while flashing any ROM ..to have proper installation ..otherwise you will have either wifi error or ROM not booting up

That's because you didn't do it properly.
You need to relock prior to flashing an RUU.
