This project is not supported anymore.
Please beware that this is a two part mod, you need the application and the framework files.
Introduction:
Welcome! If you ever had a note 2, you may know what this is all about. If not, I'll gladly explain.
Simplistic Framework is a modding project that aims to give the user a better experience, mainly through providing customizations to match each user's preferences.
Simplistic Framework started as a project about modding the MultiWindow Bar (MultiWindow Complete Control), which was a separate app, and got released for all the variants of note 2, the s3, and other devices.

Is this free?
Well, No. While there are some parts of the framework which are free, most of the options are only available to the donation/paid version.
The amount of work I put into this is huge, I bought the S4 more than 2 months ago, and I rewrote a lot of Samsung's implementations. This while working on the note 2 simultaneously. I hope you understand.

Yes, Note 2 users have to pay for S4 unfortunately. I looked for a way to move licenses but couldn't find one :/ Sorry.
Regarding your other question if I'll continue supporting the Note 2, I will definitely continue to support the Note 2 if there are bugs (which I think I resolved all of them), but regarding adding new features or porting to new ROMs, it will depend on my time, given that 4.2 is just around the corner for the Note 2.

Hey guys, I made a sense UI theme a while back ago for the optimus v, but it is really a universal theme. All of the elements need for the theme are included in the zip file, but things like the status bar mods and the fonts won't work because there is no cyanogenmod for the triumph yet. Once it becomes available, You can access the full theme. Changelog in second post. LINK TO THE ORIGINAL POST
*Quick Note: I will only continue to update this theme if people respond and offer their criticism, suggestions, and general thoughts. I can't do this alone, I need your help*
Also, the thanks button couldn't hurt at all

HOW TO FIX "ERROR INVALID_KEY" WITH FACEBOOK WIDGET
In order to get functionality from the Facebook widget back, as per THIS, you will need to uninstall the facebook app from your phone, then uninstall and reinstall LP sense ui app. From there, when you enter your credentials in the widget settings, it should work. After it is done synching and whatnot, you may reinstall Facebook app. It *should* work.
Step One
Now you will need to install LP Sense UI, provided at the bottom of this thread. THIS IS NOT THE PAID VERSION, IT IS THE REGULAR FREE VERSION, HOWEVER WIDGETS DO WORK.
You will need to set it up properly for it to work. Do the following:
From Homescreen:
Menu>Preferences>Sense Mod Configuration
Set Number of docks to "1"
Dock Background>Standard (be sure to press it, even though it is selected, or else it wont work properly)
Home button on app drawer "on"
Enable auto Rotation "off"
Click to collapse
That should be it for the launcher. You can set other things how you like, I usually use "Rotate 2" as my transition, it looks great with the theme
Menu>Preferences>Homescreen Settings>Transition Effect> "Rotate 2"
Click to collapse
Step Two
You will need to purchase "WidgetLocker" from the market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker
It is $1.99 USD, but it is worth it, it is helpful for many other themes and is great as a lockscreen in general.
be sure to open WidgetLocker from the app drawer to open it in edit or "Tool" mode.
FROM "TOOL MODE:"
Menu>Settings>Enable WidgetLocker
(Skip this if you don't have root) Menu>Settings>Advanced>Root Helper>Check All Boxes, set Autoswipe Pin/Password to "Auto"
Menu>Settings>Advanced>Check "Hide Notification Icon" and "Hide Interaction Warning"
Configure the rest how you prefer.
Click to collapse
While you are in tool mode, long press every app, slider and widget and drag it to the trash bin at the bottom of the screen. Then do this:
Menu>Add>Custom Slider
Select "Sense" from the box directly underneath the picture of the slider.
Save.
You will need to long press the slider and drag it all the way to the bottom of the screen, being careful not to put it in the trash bin (or else you'd have to make a new slider )
Click to collapse
Step Three
Install any of the clocks in from the included "clocks" folder found under "apps"
Should you install the flipclock app, be warned:
NOTE: THIS CLOCK HAS NO FLIPPING ANIMATION. HOPEFULLY, I WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE ONE THAT DOES FLIP IN THE FUTURE, BUT NO GUARANTEES. I WOULD NEED A LOT OF HELP.
Step Six
In order to get the toggle widgets, such as wifi, bluetooth, gps, vibrate, silence, etc. you need to Purchase Beautiful Widgets from the Market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.levelup.beautifulwidgets&feature=search_result
I have included a brightness control and battery indicator themed to look Sense-esque. They are at the bottom of the Post.
FOR THE BATTERY INDICATOR:
1. Apply Widget to Homescreen
2. Tap on it
3. Select the "Preferences" tab in the top right corner.
4. Check every single box, especially Swap Low/High res. You can select the temperature unit of your choice.
Click to collapse
Alright Guys, have fun with this, Feel free to thank me if this helped you at all. screen shots will be posted in The Second Post.

You could get root access by using gingerbreak method, then get a custom recovery, I believe clockworkmod is available for the triumph. If you got ahold of the files you might be able to flash it via recovery, by I'm just taking stabs in the dark. *Not responsible for any damage that happens*

I'm more than a little nervous to apply the status bar hack, mostly because what I've read makes it sound like an awfully involved process that could include either (de) odexing every file on my phone's system partition, or else crashing my phone. So if this works, I will be amazed.

My phone has rejected the stock de-odexed ROM. Repeatedly Although I also haven't tried any others (so don't lose hope yet?)
Is a de-odexing required to make a theme? (Can an odexed version work instead?) Guess I forgot the stuff I was researching... Otherwise I would probably be clever enough to make the status bar text white.

Yes, the theme is universal for the most part. The only thing that wouldn't work in theory is the status bar theme. That requires CM7, which if you have on your Optimus V would work fine. I developed this theme on an optimus v, if that means anything lol

It does when you display the text percentage. The actually icon is in increments of like 20 or 15 percent. This mod makes the battery and text 1 icon so it takes less space in the status bar.

Can you tell me how you got rid of Brightness Slider? I want to be ready for it when the Sprint variant drops. Also looking to turn off volume slider.
Finally! This is what I've been wanting since I got the phone. I remember the Optimus G had a fair amount if mods and it made me not even consider flashing a ROM. I like LGs UI enough on the G2 but some stuff has gotta change. Thank you for these and I hope there are more to come!

As for suggestions :
- remove carrier in the top left of status bar. (mine says Home for straight talk, but I'd prefer it gone)
- fix swipe issue on the clock part of the bar. You can't swipe down from the clock portion with this mod.)
- hide the nfc indicator.
Working great! Thanks

Sorry to hear that dood
Suggestions:
-Remove At&t logo
-Change brightness slider to a toggle, and remove that useless volume slider and settings from NC
-Please change the at&t 4G logo to something more mature; two arrows for upload and download would do.
And then if possible, the thing everyone wants but no one has- a transparent status bar for custom wallpapers on lock screen and home screen.
Thanks for what you've done already though, its already miles better than stock.

I really like rounded notification toggles and recent apps with this mod, but there is a drawback. Polaris office 5 for tablets won't work in this mod, it shows unsupported device dialogue over documents. However, you can install Polaris 5 from S4,it will work, but it's not tablet optimized.

It's good, but lack some features from Polaris, or I'm just used to P. Anyway, I managed to make it work
So, if anyone wants to use build.prop tweaks for recent apps and notification toggles from Note Pro, and retain functionality of Polaris 5 for tablets you can edit build.prop this way:
ro.product.name=viennaltexx" , "ro.product.device=viennalte" , "ro.product.model=SM-P601“
So, difference is from SM-P905 to SM-P601 (note 2014 edition)
Make sure you have updated Polaris 5 before that (make that in original build.prop)
Anyway, that worked for me

So, if anyone wants to use build.prop tweaks for recent apps and notification toggles from Note Pro, and retain functionality of Polaris 5 for tablets you can edit build.prop this way:
ro.product.name=viennaltexx" , "ro.product.device=viennalte" , "ro.product.model=SM-P601“
So, difference is from SM-P905 to SM-P601 (note 2014 edition)
Make sure you have updated Polaris 5 before that (make that in original build.prop)
Anyway, that worked for me

Great mod but I have noticed that installing this breaks the stock dialer app and makes other dialer related apps unusable Has anyone experienced the same issue.?

Sorry man didn't noticed that as I don't use the tablet to call. Dialer and which other app is not working anymore with this mod?

The only other thing I noticed is that the in call icon remains in the status bar and the system sort of freezes. And if you do make a call from another dialer app it doesn't show the call progress in the notification bar as is usual

So, anyone have any ideas on how we can add these features without modding the build.prop?

Too bad, too bad.
This mod still works with the official KitKat update, but the Note 10.1 won't be recognized on the Samsung App Store anymore. Loved the Hancom Office from the Leak...

There's a fix in Mikyno rom thread. You can have now note pro toggles without modifying build.prop and dialer will work. Of course, if you want Hancom, download it with modified build.prop and then revert back to original. Hancom will still work. And if update come for Hancom, just edit build.prop again, and download update, simple as that you can go back and forth by need
Great thx!
Thank you
Hello Friends,
Just want to share another hidden feature I discovered on the Note 3 and Note 4 Lollipop update - ability to ADD app shortcuts in the RECENTS panel. This is a Samsung hidden feature and I just created an app to easily add those shortcuts. It means that the feature may or may not be available on your rom version or model.
The feature allow only 4 shortcuts but it is possible to increase the number by modifying SystemUI recents layout file and some smali values. I will just leave this one to some other devs who would like a challenge.
Anyway, just download and install and selects max. 4 apps, save and reboot. The shortcuts will appear in the recents panel as can be seen on screenshot below.
As usual, USE with CAUTION and at your own RISK.

You have done something wrong mate. It's already there. Download the app again and install give root permission, choose what app you want to appear in recent apps and then reboot.

As I said you have done something wrong. First this app is for lollipop as xperiacle has mentioned. From other side you cannot install xposed on lollipop unless you are on Kit Kat so you are totally on wrong road.

If your device boots all the way, just remove it with Titanium Backup. If not, then either use the file manager in recovery, or connect via adb, and remove it from /data/app.
And I highly suggest that next time you read the instructions a little better, as the OP clearly said this was for Lollipop. You're lucky it was something that can easily be fixed...
Thank you X. Again amazing!
How to fix long title? It looks so ugly?

Thank you again for one more magic.
I have tried to add more app and it seems here
smali/com/android/systemui/recentsRecentsActivity.smali
Also seems to add 3 IDs as per icons
Some codes I can see here are
Code:
.field private static final MAX_NUM_SHORTCUT_BUTTONS:I = 0x4
iput-object v0, v1, Lcom/android/systemui/recents/RecentsActivity;->mShortcutComponentNames:[Ljava/lang/String;
.local v17, "shortCutLayout":[Landroid/widget/LinearLayout;
I tried to implement it but adding more than 5 causing FC
BUT you gave me one more idea. Who needs more than 4 app in recent then why not to integrate @gharrington s 3minit quicklaunch in recent (I believe still it requires your mod ) and we can use as many as shortcut even on the fly.
Here I have tested and working like a charm.

Great. I would use it. I use quicklaunch anyway but i think in recent is more comfortable.
Perfect here .Thks
@dr.ketan Can you tell me where did you put the quicklaunch files? i guess in recent.xml where are the shortcuts. But i am not sure if so and where do place the line in the xml. Thank you very much
Btw i could not test your UPSM cause AyraMod had it already. Sorry i forgot to tell you
Yeah in recent.xml with icons
UPSM already reported by too many users and working fine.

It´s so great. The combination of the Recent Shortcut and Quicklaunch is amazing. I found the right entry. The quicklaunch at this place is so much better than in the pulldown. You both are great. Thank you both.

weather doesn't show in the status bar, didn't check the widget. the apps appearing in recent apps panel is very large. camera opening 1st time after boot takes about 12 sec, switching to front & back camera also takes about 6 sec. when viewing a picture in the gallery, if the screen turns off then after turning on the device freezes the gallery app. other than these, everything is fantastic in this rom. btw how can i take screenshot in this rom?
OK cheers, volume down + power button.

Glad to see that but if I didn't misremember discussions should be posted in General thread?
Thank you for creating this thread. Both roms are equally lightning fast. However Christers does have much less battery drain.
Also remember to set your battery setting to efficiency as I see much improvement in battery life while keeping device fast enough. 5 hours+ SOT is very doable.
Some tiny problems I faced: circle battery icon doesn't work, putting custom sounds in notifications folder doesn't show them up in sound settings when selecting a notification sound and finally the file manager doesn't seem to allow you to access SD card. Downloading a third party file manager works fine though.
If you notice, the Partial Screenshot feature has been implemented in the 20161115 built,
- To access Full Screenshot >> power button + vol down, OR open power menu and press Screenshot.
- To access Partial Screenshot >> open power menu and long press Screenshot, wait for the screen to dim, and do your selection window.
You need to add weather provider as cm did not have their own since marshmallow. This one works https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cyanogenmod.yahooweatherprovider
Works fine on clock widget but not showing in status bar.

You can always ask the Mods if you want something that is not allowed .
But allowing this would allow the same for every rom ever built .

It looks like the most "drain" is in mobile Internet, with W lan nothing and Flight mode too.
But its not really a battery drain
