Couldn't find anything that said so, sorry if this is a bad question. Can any carrier use these ROMs or are they carrier specific?

This should be in Q and A forum.
Yes, you can use these ROMs on any carrier. If it doesn't work, you may have to manually enter in the APN. But shouldn't be an issue whatsoever.
Just be sure to backup first.
Sorry for the wrong area. Wasn't sure where to post about the ROMs. Thanks for the info though.

Just got myself a G2X, I rooted it everything is working fine EXCEPT WiFi Calling, it just says "enabling" has anyone heard of a fix for this yet?
I have the stock rom but I am rooted. I haven't flashed the new CM9 yet but want to get this thing working on the stock rom I have.. I read someone mentioned something about grabbing an old sim card? I have had zero luck finding one.
Is there a fix for this? any flashable solution? thanks.

Search, and ye shall be informed. EVERYTHING you need answered has already been posted in the forums. Look and read, then read some more. If you run in to any problems... read some more.
Ive been searching and searching, but I just cant find straight answers. I found quite a few ROMs for the Atrix 2, some look pretty sweet. BUT, I only found one that states anything about being for GSM. I was told that CDMA ROMs and GSM ROMs are different and cant be used on one another phone types. So, what ROMs can be used on my GSM Atrix 2? Add links please and thanks you =)
Im not really a noob at this, but this really has me stumped. Any help is much appreciated.

That is what I thought. So what is the difference between searet me865/mb865? Anything major?

I will make it real easy... you can run ANY rom in the dev section on any atrix2 version... now if you have an me865 or an SEARET or MEARET edition you may need locale/language packs to use with some Roms... If you have an AT&T phone you should be good to go.

Thank you!!! Very much!! I usually don't have any problems with ROMing but people were telling me that its different from a CDMA (I use to have a Epic 4G Touch). But now I know, so thanks again
Hey guys, I have a possible workaround until someone figures out how to unlock the bootloader.
I've heard countless people saying that the only differences between the US versions of the Galaxy S III is the radio. So, since we don't have an unlocked bootloader anyway, flashing a ROM in recovery wouldn't mess with the kernel OR the radio.
I've tried flashing a Cyanogenmod nightly for the AT&T version but I got this message:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") =="d2att"
Installation aborted.
Is there any way to work around this to attempt an unofficial port?
This isn't R&D, it is just a question, and therefor still belongs in Q&A since YOU are not DEVELOPING it.
DO NOT POST A THREAD IN DEVELOPMENT UNLESS YOU DEVELOP SOMETHING
Message received... but can anyone post an answer to my question?

I don't think it will work due to the kernal and bootloader configuration. I'm no developer, but i'd recommend against trying it until someone with more knowledge says they have a working version or a proper work around. If you do, the chance of bricking your device is over 9,000%! Oh wait, that isn't right....
-- Just wait for a proper. I don't believe it will work. And the AT&T one is still buggy itself. (camera, USB, etc).

You need to edit the update script to read your device instead of the AT&T one, as long as the mount points on both devices are the same I don't think it could do any harm

Seriously, do your research. 1) The ATT boot loader IS NOT locked. 2) You can't even post in the correct section no one wants to help us.
Hi,
has anyone ever rooted a T-mobile MOVE 2.2.2 phone?
I have found extensive topics about rooting other phone models, but found only one topic about the MOVE model: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16049789#post16049789
Could anyone confirm whether the "GingerBreak-v1.10.apk" actually works?

The MOVE obviously is not a very popular phone (given it is still on Froyo lol and I've never heard of it. I pretty much know every brand name phone so...), so it is doubtful that an actually user can reply
If you want to take on this tone, then allow me to ask you why you even posted this in the first place? You post when you need help, NOT to confirm if something is working or not when you have not even tried it. XDA is a dev forum and you will always be wondering if something (such as a ROM, recovery, mod) works, is compatible with your phone, if it helps in x or y way, etc.
The best way to answer your question is to try it yourself, and that is why my answer answers your question.
Given the fact that someone else used it and is the only source you could find, isn't your question answered? Thus this thread is useless and could you explain how this thread has any purpose?
In simple words, don't get fresh with any member who definitely knows more about rooting than you.

I see that there are plenty of ROMs available for the P51xx's, and since the P51xx's and the 497's are both Galaxy Tab 2's, would it be possible, just to use the build.prop of the P51xx's on a 497's rom?

I know of none, the Tmobile one would be close, but you would still run into a few problems. Just keep checking back... Sooner or later some developer will come along and conquer the last hurdle....

If you want something else, then let me know how I can get it for you. If I have to reset my device back to stock again, it isn't a problem because the CWM backup worked perfect...

No. There are more differences between the Verizon tab and the gtab then you think.

I did once using google talk And another app I downloaded from the store, but it was so bad I could barely make out what the other person was saying (Speaker on back and it isn't really loud) So I just dropped the idea as not bearable,

The Canadian SGH-i497 (ROM appears on sammobile but I cannot find reference to a Canadian Tab2) may support phone calls and sms messaging. I downloaded the Odin ROM from here:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=20711
And checked inside and it seems to have the proper files. Since the i497 has practically no support on XDA I have been reluctant to install it. But recently another member posted the ATT 4.1.2 so I was thinking of giving it a try in the near future.
Canadian version is listed on Samsung of Canada but that is about it. No info is given. Why would they release a ROM for a tablet that just doesn't seem to exist?

I too have one of these things...Really want to Root it and install other ROM's....Found Cyanogenmod for p5100 but also reluctant to try it as it is not the SGH-I497...but it's so slow and laggy, I just am dying to at least give it a try, as long as I can back up current firmware....just need to research on how to do just that first...
I have a I497 as well but it is for Digicel Jamaica, anyone knows if the AT&T or Canadian 4.1.2 Rom would work on it? I'm thinking they should all be compatible since they are all sgh-I497.

AT&T gave us one for signing up for their cable service. sad to know that no custom roms available.
was able to get it rooted. was going to be a fancy toy anyways. amazing how under-powered this thing is.
I just wound up selling mine, wasn't worth it. If I remember right there was a Rom, but it was only a stock one that had the AT&T junk removed.
HTC One M8 via Tapatalk and AT&T
Are there still no roms for this model of tablet?
